"Worst online shopping experience ever. Ordered a pair of eyeglass frames through framesdirect.com. First, it took several weeks for the frames to actually arrive at my home because they were on backorder. Their customer service folks contacted me several days after the order was placed to let me know it would take longer than expected but that they were working on it. Ok, fine. I waited until January until I had vision insurance money again to get the lenses installed locally and turns out the frames are too big for my face. Part of the joy of buying glasses without trying them on. I let their customer service know I wanted to do an exchange, they generated an RMA, and I paid money to ship the frames back. Several days later the exact same pair of frames arrived at my house. Left a voice mail with customer service - no reply. E-mailed the rep who generated the RMA and he told me that I was beyond the 30 day return period so they just sent me back the same pair. Thanks for wasting my time and money to ship the frames back!!!! I will be selling them on eBay and buying a more expensive pair from one of your competitors. Worst customer service experience ever."

They never respond at a given time if unless they need to tell you "we dont have this item." They transfer calls to the wrong agents and after transfers call are left to voicemail. Asked for a cancellation due to horrible service and tey are not even able to provide you a cancellation number nor their promised e-mail and refund. Im sure im going to have to call my own credit card company. UNRELIABLE PEOPLE, UNTRUSTWORTHY."

"I was SUPER nervous ordering from this company after reading all of these reviews, but I risked it for my $250 savings from the eye doctor... Just received my frames today and they are PERFECT! I ordered a pair of Kate Spade prescription eye glasses. Ordered them on 1/16/12 and just got them today 1/26/12. They called my eye doctor the same day I ordered them to check on my prescription, and put the order through same day. They kept me updated the entire time. I don't know if I got lucky or what but it was a great company to deal with and would order from them again. Again I didn't have to deal with back ordered frames, damage or returns, so maybe my experience would be different if something would have come up like that.. But wonderful experience for me and I would recommend!!"
"Horrible experience. Save your time and money. It took over a month for the glasses to be delivered, but they ended up at my local post office. I had them returned to sender, and the company would not refund my money. The ladies in the returns department were rude, cold and short with me. Initially I was told I would get a full refund due to the situation, but in the end, I have been refunded nothing. I never write reviews on these websites, but in this case, I want everyone to know what a bad experience I had. Hopefully, this will save someone else from going through what I had to endure."

Now the bad. They are so slow. It took just over two weeks from the day the order was placed to the day I finally received it and this was with a free overnight shipping upgrade I got after complaining about how long it was taking. My order sat in their lab for most of this time since the frames came in after 2 days. There are other sites offering equivalent pricing and delivery in less than one half the time. "
