"I ordered from Freshly in the 2nd week of the pandemic where it was impossible to get any kind of grocery delivery bc im in the NJ area outside of NYC. The first shipment arrived in the 3rd week when I was definitely worried about how I would get proper meals. Grocery stores were madhouses where I dashed in and dashed out in under 10 min and grabbed whatever I could to maintain breakfast each day.
I was delighted to have a meal with side dishes and truthfully that I didn't have pans and dishes to clean. My first meal was the Buffalo Chicken and it still remains my favorite. The loaded cauliflower mash is super delicious and goes well with the plump chicken breast.
I would say it takes 2-3 orders to find your rhythm and perfecting your order each week. The customer service was impressive and kept me on this far. I will say most meals are more for adults than children under 10 yrs old. Adults can appreciate the flavors and sauces. Because its a prepared meal that you can heat in 3 min in the microwave, there aren't fresh salads. That's the only thing that would make it perfect, if I could have a salad with chicken dish.
Shipping is good. There is a large box, padding, and ice packs to recycle and I haven't figured out how to do that yet. But they are quite large, if you were planning a move, you'd have free moving boxes and great meals!"
