I visited many times to decide on my final purchase, a refurbed MacBook Pro, and my decision was made easier by a $100 " rebate" after the purchase. Well I waited and waited for my rebate after filling in the form and mailing it back. But guess what ? It is not really a rebate ! It is merely a $100 discount for other products on their website. "I bought my first laptop in 2009. It arrived a little over a week after ordering. It was rather beat up but worked, the only issue was the AC adapter did not work. I was not able to charge my laptop to even use it because it was pretty much dead when they shipped it. Thankfully they sent a new adapter within a week and a half. I used the laptop for a year and noticed that the screen was going black when I moved it and my internal microphone stopped working so I could not Skype. Thankfully I had purchased the 3 year extended warranty, so I returned it for a replacement. I had to ship it in and then a customer service rep called me to go over my return. That took over a week. When they called they told me they did not have the same type of laptop so I had the option of upgrading to a newer model within the price of my computer. The screen was smaller but I was happy to have a newer computer. When it arrived about a week and a half later, the adapter did not work again. It was not as easy to get a new adapter this time. The customer service rep was not as willing to help me and it took them two weeks to send me a replacement after three or four calls to GainSaver and within a week or so it was not working either. I asked for another and they would not send one stating that it was not under warranty anymore. I bought one myself after receiving no satisfaction going through GainSaver and within a week or two it was dead as well. I was concerned that the laptop was killing all the adapters and voiced that to GainSaver. Their only response was to return the laptop for refund or exchange. Thankfully, I finally realized that all the adapters, including the original that was shipped with the laptop, were knock off adapters not made by Apple. I found another online supplier and bought a used Apple adapter and I've not had trouble since - all to my own devices - no help resolving the problem through GainSaver. I think they have nice prices but their customer service leaves something to be desired. I will not buy from them again and even if my laptop dies before my warranty is up, I'm done - I'll buy from somewhere else."
