"At the GameStop in Kissimmee Florida at the calypso commons area I had the best customer service experience. I bought the assassin's creed gauntlet and was very happy. 8 days later it breaks. I call GameStop to see what they can do. He said that they would take care of me. I could either get my money back or they can have GameStop.com send me another one no extra charge. The GameStop employee Chris was very nice and found a solution to my problem. Not only that but this store has been nothing but friendly and courteous to me since I moved to the area. This is why I don't buy my games from the Internet. I go to GameStop for the great service and for people to answer my questions.

"I visited gamestop in carbondale illinois to switch my preorder from AC3 to halo 4. After unnecessary pressure to not switch from the incompetent behind the counter, she did as i instructed!. AFTER completing the transaction and having been given my receipt, she asked for an id'. I did no have mine on me so she cancelled my transaction! I argued with her that I was over 18 when I preordered the M rated AC3, and that I didnt get younger now that I wanted to get Halo 4 (M rated) instead:. She (Stephine) was rude and would not look me in the eye:. This just demonstrates the poor customer service that I have seen in the past and have heard about;. Their prices are high and trade-ins low.. Customer service is aweful|. Knowledge of transaction process was horrible?. If they went out of business today the world would be a better place, except these incompetents would be out looking for jobs again."

"The GameStop online store has to be one of the worst e-commerce sites I have ever encountered. While at a GameStop store location I was sold on one of their PowerUp rewards card. However, I've never been able to use it because it won't allow me to register it online. Furthermore, when attempting to make purchases online through their store portal, I'm unable to complete the process since it keeps saying my email is already taken. All attempts to do a password recovery end no-where with emails not being received (nothing in the spam folder and spam settings are set pretty low).
Calling in to their customer support number you get some rude speaking rep who tries to talk over you and tell you that it's your problem not theirs. They then state that their system is designed only to work with Internet Explorer or Fire Fox and nothing else. - What upper management/ IT idiot made that decision to build an ecommerce platform on dying user agents like Internet Explorer and Fire Fox?
I guess GameStop doesn't want my money or the millions of other people who have been frustrated and given up on making purchases online through their store. From now on I'm not even going to mess with GameStop online and just order through trouble-free, easy-to-use, Amazon.com."
"I ordered an ipad for school and paid the extra money for overnight shipping. Instead of getting the ipad, I got a call telling me my shipping address could not be verified. Save the details, Gamestop will not return my money for anything other than an instore credit. I don't want to business with these people and I want my money back"
"Gamestop.com is the worst merchant website. The other really bad ones are Abercrombie.com Ulta.com katespade.com lordandtaylor.com and macmall.com. I only managed to place one 2 successful orders. For the 3rd one onwards, they just automatically cancel it the next day by sending emails. It seems like they don't want business. And when I call the customer service, it is always the same old crab .. your card verification problem, sorry you can't replace the order on the phone, try again knowing for sure your order will get cancelled again no matter what credit card you used or what payment method. Maybe they only allow one order per shipping address.
Out of the 2 orders which happened to be backordered, they sent out one order after 3 months. And when I inquired about the 2nd one, they said "Your recently placed order has been cancelled". I waited for 3 months to get this reply. So when I called the customer service, same crab. They said they sent me a email that my credit card didn't work and because I didn't respond wihthin 48 hours, they have no way now to restore my order. And I DIDN'T GET ANY EMAIL FROM THEM AND THE STATUS ON THE WEBSITE FOR MY ORDER IS STILL "OPEN"! In any case, i know she is lying. I called them before regarding my third order after I received the cancellation email and they said exactly same thing .. no way to restore my order on the phone, try again on the web.
Now, the item I wanted that I have been waiting for 3 months, and worst I can't place them on the website.

"I went to gamestop to sell my xbox along with the games I had. I had a little over a year old 250 gig that i payed 400 dollers for, gamestop gave me 74 dollers for it. I also sold them 3 games all in good condition and farily new one being madden 12 and i got a about 15 dollers for all three. gamestop is a rip off and i wont shop there again. I advise you that if you have any games that you are looking to trade or sell that you would be better of going to a pawn shop."

"Today, I wasted an hour of my life. I went to Gamestop looking for a Roblox card. In the card section, it said you could by two Roblox game cards and get extra value out of it. It displayed a $10 game card. It's funny, though, because the store didn't even have $10 game cards, or $20 game cards. They just had $40 game cards, which I didn't bring money for. One would think they would have what's displayed. One would think incorrectly. So before you go and waste your time, it's probably smart to call ahead, or go to a store worth going to.

"When Gamestop had come to my town of winona, Minnesota, it appeared that many people were enjoying the pricing and efficiency of the store compared to a couple locally owned game trading stores. Originally i had joined the power rewards system with games stop to save money, but i have come to find out that it is quite the opposite. It says you recieve 10% off on all in store purchases when they explain it to you however it has come clear to me that this is only for the games and that is all. When i inquired about trading some games back it was worse. According to gamestop a battlefield 3 game is only worth $10 cash when the game with the rewards card is still $40. Even with using the concept of using the resale towards in store credit the game is only worth $12. They do not accept boughten controllers with slight imperfections back nor do they fix controllers. I compared there prices to the locally owened game stores in town they doubled the offered price. The lowest offer i had for my controller with a sticky left bumper and a joystick with the beginning of a faded relay was $25 where as gamestop wouldn't even take the controller and would only allow $12 cash back. The controller had been boughten from gamestop and that was simply 5-6 months ago. I had purchased a new system two controllers and roughly 150$ in games. I had to return halo reach twice in order to recieve one that would read on the system they sold me. When i originally bought the rewards card they told me i would get a refund of the 10% off card i had bought after i entered the reciept code online, when i went in they told me that i had to have entered the code and then bought the items. I spent over $440 that day between system, controllers, games, and a hardrive that came seperatly. I will never use any gamestop again for the incompatence as well as the rude service. Though i didnt recieve any racial comments like some others, the conversations was unberable. If you are buying from this company i can only warn you to be carefull. Gamestop has lost my support with everything and it seems as time continues i see more and more of these negative reviews everyday. This franchise seems more concerned with expanding more stores into the country than actually doing there job as a gaming company. My reciept of the original sale is tucked away in storage but for a request of confirmation of anyone who does not believe me i would gladly dig through storage to retrieve it for you, if it stops you from learning the hard way."

Hello, I tried to call the GameStop customer service line last night and was on hold for over an hour where I was repeatedly told to hold and that they were experiencing a higher than normal call volume, until closing time where I could no longer reach them.
This incident occured at around 1:00PM and I consider it to be EXTREMELY SERIOUS, I've never had an experience like this in any store before, I went in to purchase a few items and was finding myself to be almost harassed by the employees, I have patronized many GameStops but never this one before and I am considering never going back to a GameStop again – This incident was the most uncomfortable experience I've ever had in a store. I went in once with my fiance to check if the items I was looking for was there and the three employees there, one of which I assume was the manager, I only got the name and number of one that was on the reciept. I left after feeling uncomfortable as the employees were sort of bickering back and forth at each other in what seemed to be escalating angry conversation, so I left to go to another store but couldn't find what I needed there...
So I came back to the Gamestop which was next to it to purchase the Nintendo DS stylus' and not purchase anything else, seeing as the three employees made me feel uncomfortable, my fiance who was with me didn't want to go back into the store after the first time. I didn't want to ask for anything else, I had intended to purchase a couple of games as well but didn't want to bother these employees who were obviously having some kind of a tussle, I went up to the counter and attempted to check out, before even getting up there this conversation was continually escalating between the three employees to where I was feeling incredibly uncomfortable now, the gentlemen checking me out was trying to force the other employee out of the way of the register and the employee standing in front of the register blocking it became very, very verbally hostile and visibly upset and angry. The employee eventually moved and the person named "Rhett(291990)" whose name appeared on the reciept checked me out in a very quickly and unfriendly manner while the other two bickered behind him about breaks.
This whole time I was super uncomfortable and probably appeared as such, this sort of behavior was very strange, I had no been into the GameStop before but these employees didn't seem to care AT ALL, at a couple time, even as I was leaving this was still escalating and I felt very uncomfortable and almost feared for my safety as they were getting exponentially louder. Although I hope none of them were going to get into a physical fight, I left as quickly as I could.
I am not sure what to do about this whole incident but it was the most uncomfortable incident I've ever experienced at any retail store and I don't know if I'll be going back to any GameStop anytime toon for fear of this, I've considered talking to the manager there but I think one of the employees there WAS the manager, this whole incident was INCREDIBLY unprofessional and made both me and my fiance frightened and weirded out to the point where we never wanted to return to the store again.
As I stated earlier I was going to attempt to call customer service at the GameStop website to talk to them about this incident as soon as possible, but by the time I'd returned home from our errands that day, the lines were sealed up until they shut down at 8:00PM
I am not sure if you all take any kind of action with these kinds of situations, nor am I sure what to do either but I'd warn friends and people on the Internet of patronizing this store as well as it was a very uncomfortable experience...

"I pre-ordered Diablo 3 Collector's Edition. Reading some of these previous reviews I was worried that it would go wrong, however I received a perfect service. The game was due to release 15th May and I received the game the 12th May at 8am. I payed £55.97 which was a complete bargain compared to anywhere else in the U.K. both online and at retail. I did a lot of research into getting this product and this was by far the cheapest. Great service and will use them for future pre-orders. "I ordered a pre used xbox for my son in october and it worked for exactly five months and broke. I sent it to microsoft to pay to have it fixed and they returned it saying it had been tampered with and they will not repair it. "My Paypal A/C suddenly have a payment (59.99 USD) to Gamestop in 17 Mar 2012. However I do not have account in this Online Shop and even not heard it before (I'm from Hong Kong).
This payment is very strange, delivey address is my home but I receive nothing during this month. I just discover this because there is a paypal payment in my credit card statement.
After searching for old emails, I found that there was a email confirmation from paypal in 17 Mar 2012 (how can I ignore this email? In spam trash?) Very Strange is that, it left void for the goods description but my paypal paid for USD$59.99.
I've reported to Gamestop and Paypal already. Paypal need to have 10 days for investigate. Gamestop claims that she can't provide further information for the payment due to privacy.
