"Very disappointed. Like many of the previous customers, I ordered a PS3 controller on Black Friday special and was canceled. GameStop claimed it was a price mistake."
"Same situation, ordered a Black Friday deal and they simply cancelled my order due to a "price mistake"."
"I order the PS3 controller on Black Friday. They cancelled it - not happy about the way they did."
"I ordered mine too and it was cancelled. What a great present for my son only to be pulled away right from under me. They should just be more attentive and proofread everything before they upload those prices..."
"They cancelled my order on black friday, if I knew it was going to be cancelled by them, I would've bought it somewhere else for a discount, now everywhere else's prices are jacked up. Not even that much of a discount, only 15 dollars different from other stores. I guess Gamestop does rip people off. For a company as big as gamestop, they should honor consumers' purchases"
"I bought 3 controllers for 19.99 each and they decide to cancel it the day after. Seriously worst company ever. Horrible Customer Service too. I HATE GAMESTOP. Please honor your pricing error."
"Ordered a PS3 controller online that they had on sale. I was very excited to get it only to be informed that my order had been cancelled due to a pricing error on their part. If you make a mistake, you pay for it! Not the consumers. YOU FAIL GAMESTOP! I HATE YOU AND WILL NEVER BRING MY BUSINESS HERE EVER EVER AGAIN! GOOD RIDDANCE!"
"Horrible...bought 2 ps3 controllers for 19.99 and cancelled my order the next morning per price error...so much bs..."
"Bought two PS3 controllers that I assumed were their black friday/saturday specials. Both were 20 bucks, and since I had gotten a new PS3 elsewhere for Black friday I figured it was fine. They didn't cancel until the next day, when I had already cancelled my controller orders from another site (amazon). Also their real life stores suck. There is nothing good about this company."
"Like many others, purchased the $20 PS3 Dualshock 3 controller and had my order cancelled due to "pricing error". $20 for a console controller is not an obvious pricing error, and due to the fact that it was Black Friday made it even more believable. Gamestop does not honor their prices and cancels orders at their convenience. Do not do business with them."
"Placed two orders for the PS3 dual shock controllers ($20) and both got cancelled due to "price error". Horrible. How can you allow an employee to price error on black friday????"
"Frequently sells used games as "new", somehow, employees handling and taking games home to play doesn't count as being used. This stopped me from shopping their B&M stores. Now, a Black Friday "deal", gamestop is insisting was a pricing error, and instead of honoring the price like every other store would, they have canceled the items. Lure you in, get you to browse their store, and potentially (like me) buy other items you wouldn't normally, then snag away the item you mainly ordered to receive.
Was the pricing error NOT on the the part of someone at gamestop? As someone who works in retail, the way this usually is, the company honors the price, as the customer is always right.
No more gamestop for me, not online, not at the B&M stores. I'd always question any "sale" they have from this point on.."
"Ordered 2 PS3 controllers priced at $20the on Black Friday. Both got cancelled without explanation or apology. Worst customer service and horrible baiting on black friday."
"Lots of cancellations due to "pricing mistakes". Come on GameStop, get your stuff together. I feel like every company is trying to copy HP as they saw that consumers did very little with their cancelled orders. I lose opportunities every time I shop online at GameStop."
"They are infamous for frequently using their "incorrect pricing" excuse to cancel purchases even after sending their customers confirmation emails. They do this every once in a while most likely to increase traffic and boost sales of their overpriced items. Customer service is nonexistent and so is their business ethics.
Look elsewhere for your gaming needs and if you happen to see what appears to be a good deal from them, be aware that you are highly likely going to end up with an "incorrect pricing" email after you have given them your card information."
