"Will not buy from them ever again. It was the Radeon 9700 pro, they had a 20% discount. Gamestop.com got a bunch of orders, but instead of honoring the most of the orders, they flat out canceled the orders 3 days later.
First email I got a couple days ago:
Dear Jonathan,
We have just received information today that they are cutting out stock in
half on this item. We will be getting a second shipment (which is the
shipment you are on), but we do not have a date at this time as to when it
will be going out, or even received into our warehouse. If you do not wish
to wait on this item, and would like to cancel, you can request this by
email. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We value your business and hope to see you again soon at GameStop.com.
& now today which got a lot of people upset.

In a confirmation email, it stated that my order will ship within 24 hours. 48 hours passed, then I got a call from a store clerk to verify my credit card info. Status of the verification - Confirmed. I was under the impression that all has went well and should be expecting my order shipped. Wrong! 30 hours later, I got an "electronic-mail" which was unprofessionally "Cut" & "Pasted" and addressed to me. In this email, it said that they "canceled" my order because they weren't able to "fulfill" it. Which leaves me wondering, why did they verify my address and phone number and then shy my business away without a reasonable explanation. What a waste, this was my first deal with them and they had to make it my last. SHAME."
"Stay far, FAR away from this company. Not only did they send me an email after I ordered online telling me my item was in-stock and would ship in 24 hours, they put the charge on my CC (when their web site CLEARLY states that it will not do that) and then I don't hear anything for three days until I get an erroneous email intended for internal use that tells me effectively they were cancelling all the orders and not honoring the sale price. Sure enough, 30 minutes later the e-mail comes telling me they were cancelling my order.
Untrustworthy vendor! Buyer beware! I plan to tell as many people as I can to stay far away from this ripoff company. "

"Pre-ordered the Radeon 9700 from GameStop. Got an email from them saying that they had taken too many orders and were cancelling the ones that they couldn't fill (the vast majority). I feel that they knowingly led people to believe that they had a reasonable number allotted to them, and that the orders would be filled. Instead, they pretend to be surprised by the number of orders received. I will not do any future business with Gamestop. If you knowingly advertise an item you won't be able to deliver, you are a deadbeat vendor. Period."
"same as the other complaints about the 9700 but i have this to add. Web site explicitly states billed when shipped. Instead they put a hold on your card. This caused me not to even be able to buy from another location because the hold doesn't come off for 24 to 48 hours!!!!

Dear Jeffrey,
Do not share any information with customers about the video card. Do not tell them when stock may be available, do not tell them about stop watch sales, do not promise anything, if they receive the order cancellation email then, respond as directed in my prior email.

I got mine, with excellent communication and friendly phone support throughout the entire deal. Gamestop is a major retailer, owning EB, Babbages, Gamestop, and many others, larger than Best Buy and Circuit City combined. They are an excellent company and do not deserve to be dragged through the mud for something out of their control!
I also ordered a Thrustmaster Pro Digital 2 racing wheel on a second order the next day, which was shipped out the same day and at an excellent price ($40 + 4 shipping)!"

Complete and utter unprofessionalism from the beginning to the end. Avoid this company. Too many excellent online retailers exist to give an operation like this one red cent."
