"In the last week, I have rma'd a video card and ordered a motherboard. They recieved my rma video card this past Friday and according to the Fedex tracking, is should be here today, Thursday. Pretty quick rma service. As for the motherboard, I ordered late on Tuesday night and it look like it'll be here on Friday. Fast service. Only problem, they never bothered to price match my video card. After they said there would be a credit, I emailed inquiring where the credit was. By that time the price changed and free shipping went away and they said you are actually saving .75 in a slightly condensending way like I didn't know how to add. I have been scanning pricewatch for a few years. I always use it for checking on just about the lowest prices you can find. I usually seemed to see gameve as one of the first few names of companies in my search results. Of course i didnt like what i used to hear about them, slow shipping, lacking update of website for instock information... and etc. I also heard a few people talking about them cleaning up their act. Keep in mind, i had never ordered from them before, primarily because of what i had heard. The only thing that made me order from gameve was the fact that they were the only company i could find that carries the new video card manufactured by the company i want. either other retailers have it and they havent put it up, or gameve is the only one to have msi's version of the 6600gt agp. Even after being screwed over by pricewatch companies before, i decided to take a chance and place my order. I never expected to get ahold of anyone on the phone to guarantee my order would be processed the same day. i did though. I also never expected to really get an email showing me the exact status of my new card. I did though! I also received a tracking number which shows that fedex has already scanned it and it is on its way to my computer. I ordered the card online at 4:40 pst. called them up at 4:46, they told me the order was processed already and it would be shipped today. WOW! Big upgrade in service from what i have heard in the past.

Thx Gameve, if you keep it up you may beat your main competitors.

BTW, anyone looking at the 6600gt card? buy the msi version, comes with better games, more bundled software, and VIVO! and its only 10$ more in overall cost than the xfx. + most likely if your upgrading your mobo as well youd be dumb not to buy the k8n neo2 platinum or neo4 upon its availability, so why not go msi video and mobo, makes the perfect match dont it?

**UPDATE**
Gameve did a great job of quickly getting me the item. It was shipped Thursday, and i received it monday! was very impressed. I was less impressed that my box was already opened and had no shrinkwrap. I was also less impressed when my heatsink fell off the video card after barely touching it to inspect as to why my thermal temps were over the limit, to the point of artifacts. Since the box didnt come shrinkwrapped i know someone at gameve must have been in it, but now my suspicion of the heatsink issue is passed to gameve, since they were in my package before i. The combo turned out to be not so good after all, none of the included software utilities install correctly, and the temp monitor and speed control software (3d!tools) never did work after spending an hour just to get it installed.(this may be isolated software incident) BTW, it shows a "special" dvd disc that contains several games, they didnt note that they were all demos ( figures it was a gimmick)
