"I had received a bid from our local speaker installer for speakers and installation for our movie theater. I advised I was going to check on-line for the speakers. He told me not to trust on-line merchants. By googling the speaker brand and model number, I found Garrett's and I sure am glad I did. I was able to get the same speakers for half the price our local guy was going to charge me and the service was wonderful. I ordered on Monday night and received Wednesday afternoon. Shipping charges were extremly reasonable and the sales staff kept me informed via e-mail. I have already added Garrett's to my favorites list, because I will always check with them first when I purchase any items in the future. I have also told my friends about Garrett's.

The Co. proactively notified me the next day after I ordered on-line that delivery would take 12 days and they offered to cancel the order and credit my charge card, which they did. Found a $100 piece of equipment I needed. Looked at all the fine print, and it talks about next day shipping. So I place the order, and AFTER taking my credit card info it pops up this message saying not to expect the order for 7-10 days. Since UPS will only take 3 days, and I need the thing in 5 days I response with an email to ask if it will ship in 2 days. The following afternoon I get back an email saying my order has been canceled. No explanation or apology. Just a waste of my time."

"DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! Ordered a subwoofer and a pair of speakers, got charged for the full amount the next day. Received the sub in a week and half and no word on the speakers. Called several times and was always told that they were meeting with distributor next day and the next day and the next day and they should know soon. After a month of waiting they called and said that it would be another 2 weeks. At that point I told them to cancel the remainder of the order and credit my account, then I heard a guy in the background telling the secretary that they had to charge me a restocking fee (on something I haven't received yet!!!). After a few choice words she called me back to say that there would not be a restocking fee her mistake because sheis new and that they would credit my account that same day. Knowing the kind of people I was dealing with I had the credit card company watching out for the refund on my account. They give merchants 15 days to submit credit back into accounts. 21 days after cancelling the order I get a call from the vendor that the credit card company had started a chargeback and he just happened to have the credit for my account ready to be submitted, and "If I could help them" because the amount of the chargeback was wrong. When I related my dissatisfaction with their lack of customer service they offered to "take the sub back for a full refund" What????

"I placed my first order from Garrett's on 4/9/06 and received it from their distributor via UPS Ground on the evening of 4/12. My Leviton Integrated Networks products arrived in perfect condition, but I immediately realized one item was not the right one. Upon checking my original order I discovered the error was entirely my own--I had ordered a part number one digit off from the one I intended to buy.
I called the following morning and spoke with Mr. Larry Ross in customer support to explain my predicament. Larry arranged for me to return the incorrect part directly to the east coast distributor instead of to Garrett's in WA, reducing my return shipping cost considerably, since I am also on the east coast.
I was also pleased that Larry arranged to have the replacement item sent to me even before receiving confirmation that I had shipped the other item back. As it turns out, Garrett's even went a step further and had the new item sent by overnight air. When I returned home today (4/14) from the UPS store to send the one item back, its replacement was already waiting on my doorstep.
In the ten years I've been buying products over the Internet, I've come to expect a certain level of pain involved in returns and adjustments--even when a problem is the vendor's fault. In this case the error was mine, yet Garrett's bent over backwards to resolve the problem and help me keep my project on schedule.
Since I had never dealt with Garrett's before placing this order, I can't believe I was afforded special treatment beyond what's offered to any other customer, so I am happy to recommend this company based on my purchasing experience."
