"Customer Service rep could only reiterate what was on the website but had no knowledge about individual products. He tried to tell me the solar option would would at night without a battery and if the sun was strong enough during the day the gate would work at night without a battery--NOT TRUE, you have to have a battery or power after dark.

Also told me the non-solar compatible gates were indicated this way because parts of the country don't get enough sun....Arghhh! The right answer is the 12v openers are compatible with solar and the 24v openers are not compatible with solar because GC solar panels are 12 volt. The 24v openers could actually be compatible if a 24v solar converter was used.. The customer service rep was nice, just not very knowledgeable and would likely lead less knowledgeable customers to make uninformed decisions..

When ordering, I typed an incorrect digit on the credit card number. The system doesn't catch it at the moment (as is industry standard), It took the order, then sent me an email indicating the order failed. I had to start all over again with a new order. Kinda of out dated processing.

"It has been a tremendous pleasure to work with Gatecrafters and David Rivera. We started with a blank slate and didn't really know what we wanted in a gate or even the type of equipment that was available. The site was super easy to try some different designs and Dave gave us expert guidance each step of the way. He explained all of the automatic opener options and the fun accessories. We ended up with a gorgeous gate with an automatic lock, gate sensors and an entry pad with wireless phone to open the gate and to call our home. The entire installation is solar powered. I'm certainly no expert when it came to connecting all of the equipment, but Dave was very patient in answering all of my silly questions and talked me through the project.

We're currently looking at another area of our property that could use a gate. You can bet we'll design our next gate with Gatecrafters. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a gate, and I recently recommended them to one of our neighbors."

"Took FOREVER to get our gate. Kept getting emails from Amanda wanting to know when we were going to return the sled, but she was after a Joe Weber in Pennsylvania.
Bearing in mind that we had Dave on the line the whole time we were ordering our gate and accessories:
1). Don’t you think you should provide plates to atrached the operator arms to the gates?
2). Don’t you think you should provide a plate to attach the solenoid lock?
Neither of the above could be mounted properly, using the small footprint available...mounted to make it work, but not professionally.
And, 3). The operating arms say to mount 12 inches above ground level, but that is NOT possible if you are going to have anything to attach to.
4). When you call tech support on the weekends - once, no answer at all, another time, on the weekend, the guy said to look at the manuals...NO HELP AT ALL... Especially when the manuals provided are factually WRONG!
Specifically, Liftmaster Push-to-Open Kit, Model 50-19503, where in Step 7. It says, “With gate open and operator in retracted position,...”
Well, that did not sound/look right to me so I called your Tech Support. After being on hold for a while guy comes back and says, “You’re correct, it should say “with gate closed”, not open, closed “must be a typo he says”. NO, a typo is when you type a ‘w’ instead of an ‘r’, the difference between open and closed us NOT a typo.
What if I had followed your directions and now had 4 extra holes in my gate?!?!?!?
And speaking of post brackets...Why do they come curved as for attaching to round poles...when we get square, flat-sided posts???? The ‘purchase’ of bracket edges is no where as solid as if Flat Bracket to Flat Post!!!!

Actually, I think “2” is too high a rating, after remembering, and writing down, all the problems and incompetence I had to deal with working with you.
But, I’m stuck with you now...God Help Me...."
