"Discovered 10 minutes after ordering a part for our gate that part was not the problem, rather we needed a new battery. I immediately tried to contact my personal assistant to cancel my order, left a message. Then called the business number and he said they would put a cancel order on my personal assistant desk and he would cancel the order. Next day I get an email saying the part had been shipped. I immediately sent an email to my personal assistant again explaining the problem. Never have heard from my personal assistant. Useless part is here, charged to my credit card. Someone called from your business, said we could refuse the part, pay return postage and restocking charge. Do not trust you enough to believe you would remove charges from credit card if I sent it back. Would you be satisfied? "

"Good price, but I had shipping problems. First it didn't ship when they said, then Margaux sent me an e-mail saying it had shipped, but it hadn't. It then shipped the following day, but to a wrong person and address. I ended up picking it up from that guy. I suspect these guys are just drop shippers, and when they talk about "checking with the warehouse" or "being shipped from another warehouse", they're simply talking about whichever manufacturer it is. That by itself is fine (and probably allows them to keep prices down), but I think it takes the shipping out of their hands, even though they lead you to believe otherwise. So beware if you're order is time sensitive.

Update on 5/18/14:
After posting my initial review, I got a long and very nice e-mail from Matt, who I assume owns the Gatecrafters. He apologized for the shipping problems and offered a $35 credit (he would have refunded the shipping costs but the product came with free shipping). He was concerned, however, with my comments about them not being a "real" company with its own inventory, etc. He sent me a Google Maps picture of their relatively large facility and offered to also send me a video of the inside of their warehouse. I was impressed by his concern for how his company was depicted, and that I had mischaracterized that part of my comments (above). I was satisfied with his explanation. In the end, the shipping was still a mess, but I got a good price and I'd give them another chance, since it seems as if my issue was perhaps the exception, not the rule.

"Order was right had to call and Ask questions on the instruction from gate crafters didn't send enough wier to hook up my east swing receiver to my mighty mule 502, the wire harness provdided was a wire short! Was not told I needed to jump a phone wire!!"

"I purchased a $750 access control for an electric gate and within 3 weeks it had gone bad. (Not Gatecrafters Fault) However, when I called to discuss it with them and I had decided to order a new mother board so I could continue to keep my gates working while I sent the bad mother board in for repair It seem to be a difficult process for the sales rep. I asked the sales rep to make sure they sent the correct part - to please get with my original rep and make sure it was correct. I received and email later that day and was told it was absolutely correct as well as on the way. I have received the part and paid for my gate contractor to come out and install it and guess what....It is not the correct part at all. So now my gates are down, I have had to pay the contractor to come out for the original install, back & fourth to discover the original board has gone out, another trip charge to install a board that can not be installed because it is incorrect, and soon another trip charge to hopefully install the correct uncorrupted board. Not Great!!!

***Update*** 5.8.14
After my review I was contacted by Gatecrafters and they apologized for the issue, explained how the error happened and what they have done to correct the issue so that it won't happen again. They also reimbursed the trip charge for my installer on the day we discovered the wrong mother board. Thank you Gatecrafters for taking responsibility and doing something to resolve the issue - Bravo..... Something you don't see very often anymore. I will do business with this company in the future.
