"The CS team made an honest mistake when answering a question about my prospective purchase. I made a purchase on these false pretenses and needed to return the item as it was not what I wanted. When I went to return the product I was told fee’s would apply despite the problem being caused by an employee. Customer service management was incapable of applying a modicum of common sense or reasonable problem solving skills and instead took a bull-headed approach to standing beside policy despite the obvious need for an exception. The manager blamed other elements of Gigaparts instead of just taking ownership of the issue.
This was a laughable experience, and I am shocked that Gigaparts isn’t a household name synonymous with failing to grasp the most fundamental elements of customer service and ownership.
Run far away from this company. They offer absolutely nothing that multiple other companies aren’t offering with the reassurance of a better customer safety net."
"The item I ordered was in stock and shipped very quickly. Where I ran into trouble was the item in question has some apparently intentionally quirky behavior--namely it doesn't ship with a power supply that can both charge the battery AND drive the backlight on the screen at the same time so it basically appears broken when you try to charge it up for the first time. I contacted GigaParts a couple times to find out whether or not this was expected behavior and received absolutely no response from their customer service team. I eventually got confirmation from the device manufacturer that this was indeed "normal" and that I did not need to return the radio, but given what I experienced I will not be making any additional purchases from GigaParts unless they happen to be literally the only one in the country who is selling something that I think I need. I can get the same level of customer service from random strangers on eBay for less money. "
