"I Ordered a Icom 9700, the Icom Software and RT Systems 9700 programming software. Grand total was $1600+ dollars. The RT systems software arrived without a valid serial number. This was a screwup by RT Systems. I called RT systems, got a rather rude reply...send us PROOF that you purchased it and we will take care of it. I emailed the Gigaparts invoice and pictures of the packaging, the disk, the sleeve. Never heard back from RT Systems. I called Gigaparts. The rep I talked with tried to do what HE could do. He said sorry.... I have done everything * I * can do (Nothing). Basically tough luck!. I informed him I would simply call Paypal and register a complaint of FRAUD. I paid for a product, what was delivered was useless and there is no recourse. The rep called the Customer Service Manager. SHE called me back.... asked me to email HER the proof of what happened. Still waiting. All this over a completely botched $35 item. Can you imagine the hassle if I have a in warranty problem with a $1500 transceiver? Here is the bottom line. If I CAN NOT TRUST YOU I DO NOT NEED YOU. Does not matter if you are my gardener, doctor, mechanic, father in law or radio vendor. I expect a valid serial number to register this software I paid for, nothing less. Tomorrow I will call Paypal, file the complaint and get the cost refunded. Were done Gigaparts, buyers please beware. UPDATED 04/07/2021 After speaking with Sue Stevens, she DID correct this mess. She did provide me with a Valid License Key by Email. The software is installed and operational. Honestly, this should have never happened, and the Rep I talked with SHOULD have been able to take care of this. If he (They) don't have the authority to do this, Get someone that does, then WHY ARE THEY EMPLOYED THERE?. The online catalog says "For Download only", but I was shipped a disk without a license. I DID Email RT Systems exactly what they requested in a very timely manner, but received NO RESPONSE. Seems the files were too big. Did they even call me or email back? NO! I tried to pay for this with Paypal, and set it up for a local pickup....site would not allow it, so I simply had it shipped. Shipping was very fast. To recap...I WILL NOT accept a rep telling they "Have done everything they can" and the answer is no. He should have involved his manager. In my opinion your system has failed or the Rep needs retraining. I have reviewed some of the Feedback, and I am VERY Concerned/Disturbed to see that the same things people complained about in 2014 are STILL being complained about in 2021! Now I mean this in a constructive way, this is why I take the time to type this. YOUR SYSTEM HAS PROBLEMS. Either your staff does not follow directions, or the system needs attention. I personally THANK YOU Sue Stevens for correcting this mess. But YOU should not have to do this. This should have been resolved with ONE phone call and a follow up Email. with Validation. Until I see ALL 4 and 5 star reviews I will be taking my future purchases to one of many vendors. I am not going to mention names, I don't have to. You know who they are. Also...why is this review "Hidden"????"
