"dont know if i'll do business with them again.. I purchased an Astron RS-70MV and received a RS-70M. The price $399 is nothing to complain about right? Well when i received mine, i also discovered i got what appears to be a used PS.. There are scratches on the top of PS which looks like someone had other equipment resting on it.. Also one of the resting foot pegs was missing and the remaining 3 have wear on them.. I am convinced someone had this unit before I.. I have not had a chance to address this yet with Giga Parts,, they don't have an email address to raise these issues via emial and they dont have a web forum, only an 800 number.. After reading their return policy, i am a bit skeptical. Return policy states 15% restocking fee for returns and replacement for bad parts.. wish i had read this before hand,, i would have paid a little more with someone a little more friendly on customer service. The PS works fine and takes a good 50 amp load with no voltage movement. Astrons are pretty much bullet proof and they have an excellent relationship with their customers.. I feel a little cheated by GigaParts that they left these issues in my hand and i feel they took advantage of a customer buying their 'used' products, more than likely someone that purchased it, didn't like it, returned it, now i have it.. with the battle scars :-(
I would like to clarify Giga Parts response. Although you now point out a return offer within the 10 warranty period after purchase, not once did you offer that to me during the period we discussed this problem. And also neither did Astron other than to offer me parts to fix the issues. Yes, Astron sent me a foot peg and a wood screw, but since the mounting hole was stripped out, it was useless. I had to modify the foot peg attachments using machine screws and lock nuts.. An approach Astron should be doing. And also, Yes Astron did over a new top cover to fix the scratch marks, but by the time that offer came i had already arranged to have duracoated which cost me $25 bucks. I dont have anything bad to say about performance issues with this power supply but quality control, and a few of their manufacturing process need to change. As far as Giga Parts, an offer for the return at no restocking fee (as their web site say s required for any or all returns) should have been their first response to rectify this issue. It simply never was offered, They just wanted to send me parts to fix my self, and even suggesting they would only do this if it made me 100% satisfied. . Bottom line, i like the power supply, and i even like the dura coating and foot peg's fix i had done. GigaParts and Astron needs to change their policies, If a customer(s) receives an item with any type of defect the customer should be able to return it a no cost including shipping.. No Questions Asked!!! After all, my problems were a defect caused by one or the other, and like buying anything from Amazon or a walk in store, , I could return those items free of charge. This is why i say i will never purchase from GigaParts again. I had a bad experience and when you get burned,, you learn.

I'm sorry that you are disappointed your item is not yet in stock. When you placed the order the item was marked "Special Order Reserve Yours Now! (Ships In 2-4 weeks). Your order was placed on the weekend and received in our office on 10/5, so we are almost to the 2 week point. At this time, we do expect to be able to fulfill your order within the designated 2-4 week time frame. The only time that may be a problem would be if a manufacturer is out of stock or has a production delay.
