"I was skeptical about ordering but decided to do so anyway. I should have trusted my gut, because the customer service is terrible! You don't talk with anyone you have to chat with a person which is hard to get the issue across. I went through all the selections and paid. A few days later I received another receipt to download but none of my lens treatment selections were applied but all the charges remained the same. I contacted them and of course told them the two receipts conflicted each other and wanted to know why. No answer was giving but she told me to return them and she was emailing a shipping label to me but did not. I later called back to see if I would get any other information...so to sum up the rest they have terrible customer service and do not build your order as you select."
"Worst company to order prescription glasses from. I placed an order, sent my prescription in the email and got charged on the same day but since then no reply what so ever. I checked my account and it says "waiting for the prescription" (FYI: Prescription was sent more than 8 days ago :) ). I followed up and realized that no one even cared to look at my prescription and start preparing my order. But yes of course I was charged full amount on the very first day. Anyways long story short, its been more than 15 days and still glasses aren't done yet. Still need to wait more and then wait for the shipment to arrive. DON'T WASTE your time..there are better, faster and more efficient companies for prescription glasses. I will NEVER EVER order from them again....thank you glasses.com for nothing."
"The most disgusting experience no customer service to cancel change or discuss an order that was created by a poorly functioning website. Of course covid is the excuse for everything. I just want my orders canceled and payments refunded. Never again. "
"No online tracking, no customer service, no information. Will I ever get these. My insurance company directed me here and I will pay for glasses myself from now on. Very very poor service and communication."
"They have no opticians. If you have a question about your glasses there’s literally nothing they can do to answer, they only have call room employees. Customer service is nonexistent, delivery time is ridiculous. This is a horrible option and the only reason I chose it was because of Covid concerns about going inside a store"
"This was my first and my last experience ordering glasses online. I ordered glasses from Glasses.com 3 months ago and my left temple piece broke yesterday. I ordered a replacement temple piece from Glasses.com today at the cost of $70.00. Or I could have opted to take a 50% discount off my out of pocket expense for a new pair. The bottom line is that I could have bought the glasses locally at an optical store and they would have replaced the temple piece at a fraction of that cost or even free. Not only that but when you get to the bottom line price of Glasses.com you are probably not saving anything by ordering from them and add to that you get NOOO customer service from Glasses.com. They only offer chat or email and good luck with either of those. Avoid the hassle and buy from your local retailer. You will be glad you did."
"I purchased 2 frames with a prescription on 2/3/21. I did not use my insurance, and one of the frames was not in stock. I submitted my prescription at the time of checkout, and I chose to pay for quicker shipping.
I received an email that they still needed my prescription, I responded with another copy of my prescription. I received an email that the prescription was verified on 2/4/21.
2/5/21 I received an email with a legitimate tracking number for UPS, that said my order had been shipped. I received my package on 2/8/21.
Unfortunately, I did not know at the time of purchase, one of the frames was out of stock. I wish something was on their website that showed when they actually had product available.. Anyway the one that I received is the correct prescription, nothing was damaged. The frames feel pretty sturdy, but they were a little sticky? tacky feeling? That's gone away now.
I received an email 2/10/21, it was an invoice for the second glasses, this one did not have a tracking number. I went online with their website chat, gave them my info and let them know i was concerned, he was a little slow, but he did eventually send me the tracking info, it has shipped that morning, and is scheduled to arrive in a few days.
I regret paying more for quicker shipping. They don't specify that its only the shipping that's being expedited, and not the products being made. I also think they could train their chat employees a little more, i got maybe three responses from him, and he immediately ended the chat after sending me the tracking info.
i purchased these two glasses and then I read the reviews, and I was horrified and anxious. like i just wasted all this friggin money on a scam. Maybe i just lucked out, i feel very relieved and i hope the second pair arrives perfect like the first has. -2/10/21"
"I would give negative ratings if i could. I placed an order for prescription glasses recently on Jan 10, 2021. I am glad that the delivery was quick and packaging was secure and professional. However, the nightmare started when I needed to return due to the size of the frame doesn’t fit my features. I submitted a return request as advised on their Q&A page, 3 days later I received a follow up email saying they don’t have any record of my order and asked me to provide information when I already keyed in info when submitting the request. I forwarded the email order conf and packing slip and basically a pic of the box I got. 4 days later I received a prepaid return label but an email saying they don’t have my prescription on file when I submitted that right after placing the order. What I’m confused is that if they don’t have it, how come i received my glasses with correct prescription. What I’m afraid now is that when I drop my return parcel at the post office, they are gonna come back saying they could not issue a refund due to some stupid problems. Good thing I paid with PayPal and usually they are proactive helping buyers so if there is any problem I could always open a case. But I’m not confident that PayPal would favor me since glasses.com is a large corporation and I’m just nobody. "
"Very positive experience, fast shipping and glasses fit perfect, would definitely order from them again"
"Ordered a pair of glasses. They claim it takes approx. 4 days to fill, and 5 - 7 for shipping. So between 9 and 11 days from day of purchase to get your glasses. They fail to tell you depending on the brand they send them out to that manufacturer to fill and then wait for them to ship it back. Ordered a pair of oakley glasses. They said the information above minus the added time to send to a manufacturer. SO at day 11 I contacted them and that's when they told me about the additional time and that they would have it shipped to me in a week and would send me a tracking #. Here I am after business hours w/ no tracking number. I even contacted them this morning to confirm I would get this information. I wouldn't be so upset if they were straight up with me from the get go. NO compensation has been offered. Not to mention I will be at least 1 month from day of ordering to getting my glasses. 30 days minimum vs the 11 days they promised. I would not recommend this company if you need glasses asap. "
"I recieved my glasses today and am sad to say that the entire order is incorrect. They are not the frames I ordered, they are not transitional lenses. They don't fit and most importantly I can not see through them at all. not even close to the prescription I ordered. They are so blurry I can't see anything. I know the script my neuroptomologist gave me is correct and the glasses I recieved are not even close! I need to know how to return these and get my money back as soon as possible so I can actually get my glasses that I need. I have a major light sensitivity and require the transitional lenses. I am seriously dissapointed in your service. NOTHING about my order was correct. not even the lense or the prescription. Please let me know how to get my money back .
thank you,
A VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER,
STAR COFFMAN-MCCLURG"
"Do you want to be treated terribly? Do you want to wait 5 days before getting a email response? Do you want to wait 30 days to get a refund in the case that a glasses won't fit you. If your answer is YES to all of the above, this website is for you!
They have the most terrible customer service, even calling it terrible to being generous to my opinion. Their customer service representative is absolutely incompetent. They told me my order will be cancelled and it got shipped. They told me my return label will come "in under an hour" and it took 5 days. They told me a refund will be issued "within 14 business days" and I have to send them >10 emails basically harassing them to get them to give me my money back after 30 days.
AVOID AT ALL COST. IT IS NOT WORTH THE FRUSTRATION! GO TO COSTCO, ZENNI OR OTHER WEBSITES. DO NOT USE THEM. WORST NIGHTMARES!"
"Don't pay attention to the bad reviews, I usually don't order from internet, I usually shop local, but 2 years ago I paid $600 just for my lenses of my eyeglasses, this time I decided to use glasses.com, and exceeded my expectations. Same lenses (noline bifocal lenses + ultralight weight + transition and easy cleaning + rayban frame + overnight shipping) i paid $442. And took them 3 to 4 days to verify my prescription, 4 to 5 days for manufacturing, got my glasses within 10 days. Awesome job. Keep up the good work. Thanks again. A+++++"
"They never sent me a confirmation email, never ordered my glasses, and never apologized when I had physical proof they made a mistake. Horrible website with almost no customer service support."
"• I placed an order on Glasses.com for prescription glasses using my vision insurance benefits back on 1/2/2020.
• My prescription was verified by Glasses.com on 1/6/2020.
• Confirmation was received on 1/7/2020 that my order had been uploaded and sent to the lab.
• On 1/9/2020, Glasses.com e-mailed me that my order had shipped, and even included a tracking number! (That tracking number was either fabricated or never used since it never resulted in me seeing information that my glasses were actually in transit.)
• By 2/11/2020, I still had not received my glasses and sent an order inquiry, to which I received a reply promising an update within 24-48 hours.
• On 3/3/2020, I had still received NO response from Glasses.com, at which point I again sent an inquiry demanding either a tracking number or a refund.
• Later that day (3/3/2020), I received a reply from “Naomi P.” stating the following: “I am sorry that your order has not been received yet. I did look into your order and it seems as if the order was cancelled 2/5. The authorization through pay-pal has expired so they did not send us any funds. We will reverse your benefits so that they will be available in 24-48 hours. We have also extended 20% off your next order for the trouble.”
• My PayPal was never charged when Glasses.com took so long to process the order so that the authorization had expired; however, my benefits were NOT reversed completely as was promised – my vision insurance now shows that I am not eligible for lenses until 1/1/2021!!!
It is now THREE MONTHS since I placed my original order. I have no glasses, and my insurance benefits have been charged without me receiving any product."
