"This summer we bought a bunch of video equipment for our company in Norway. The Norwegian bank (Nordea) processed the order very fast, and shipping was amazingly fast (faster than our German and American deliveries this year). The value of the package was around €10K.
Initially, 2 of our 6 batteries were defect from the third party, but GMP showed great service and processed and replaced the defect batteries very quickly and without any paperwork to speak of.
We are very happy with GMP, and look forward to the next time we deal with them."
"UPDATE for 4th Sept
Refund from GMP finally recieved!
I recieved phone calls and emails effectively holding my refund to ransom by asking me to remove this review.
Interestingly my account on the GMP system only notes the remaining credit of $564 being removed from my account on 3rd Sept...but surely it should have gone on 23rd Aug if they shipped as claimed?
Anyway thank you GMP for seeing reason, I'm now satisfied that business is concluded.
However, if you (Igor) contact me again to harras me I will be going to the media ('fair go' and 'Target' in NZ, 'A Current affair' & 'Today tonight' in AUS) as well as Consumer Affairs Disputes Tribunal of New Zealand and the NZ Police.
Thank you GMP, your products are sound and the prices are great.

UPDATE for 2nd Sept
9:43am on Sunday morning I recieved a call from GMP, asking me to remove this factual account of my situation.
I told GMP the best way to improve the review was to proceed with a refund as required by law. (Remember my order was placed on 6th Aug)
I can see they have now posted several false statements, today's two false statements by GMP are;
GMP:"The Original Tripod was dispatched on the 24th" - False because when GMP ship their system sends you an email and tracking updates..this has not happened. Also GMP's email on 23rd Aug stated that the product was unavailable. Lastly if it were dispatched on the 24th, it should have arrived by 2nd Sept, Right?
GMP:"the rest of the order was dispatched within estimated time" - Another lie, see my previous comments.
I await my refund for product I do not have since 6th Aug.

1 Sept 2012
Extremely Bad experience! Under taking legal action, Globalmediapro still owe me $564!
On 6th Aug 2012 I placed an order for over $5000 of equipment Global Media Pro and transferred that cash the same day. The GMP website falsely claims "Australia Delivery 2-3 Days", all the items I ordered were claimed to be "In-stock".
In the end I recieved most of the stock 10days later.
EXCEPT the ~$500 tripod was not delivered, on the 23rd Aug I recieved an email from GMP stating that the tripod I ordered was not available "would I accept an alternative tripod?".
I needed to use the equipment I had purchased, it had been 17days and would be more if I had waitied for GMP. So I purchased a suitable tripod locally and advised GMP that since it had not shipped please to refund the value shown on the invoice they presented to me for undelivered tripod+shipping charges for said Tripod.
GMP then claimed they COULD NOT STOP DISPATCHED ORDERS (huh? but they just said its not shipped and I never agreed to accept an alternative).
After re-stating my position very clearly via email GMP have gone quiet, 5 days and the $564 refund has not been transferred my account.
GLOBAL MEDIA PRO STILL OWE ME $564"
"I'm putting up reviews of my dealings with GMP because I'm surprised at the negativity some people have expressed. When you check you do notice that some people do things a strange way and then blame GMP when something goes wrong. H
I purchased a pro camcorder from GMP and it was by far the cheapest on the iternet. 30% cheaper (including delivery and taxes) than BH in the USA.
I paid for my order (yes, via direct debit) on the Monday and the camera was IN MY OFFICE IN AUSTRALIA on the Thursday - less than 4 days! That's as good as it gets.
The gear is good quality, brand new, in the box with all of the parts (unlike some online retailers who with-hold parts that should be in the box and then charge you extra for them, hence the fake "cheap" price).
Their communication was excellent, answering my emails within a couple of hours - even on weekends - and they even phoned me once to clear up a pre-sale querie.
I cannot fault them and highly recommend them.

"Just want to say a huge thanks to Global Media Pro for their prompt delivery of batteries and memory cards. Communication was superb, and am very pleased to have received the goods in time. Highly recommended, Cheers!

"My recent experience with Globalmediapro may seem unbelievable but I stand by every word written here and encourage Globalmediapro to respond.
I’m a journalist and in this current climate I go where the work takes me. I thought an online delivery company would be best for my circumstances and in spite of the alarming reviews of Globalmediapro, I gave them a try.
I selected a camera (SONY), used my German savings account, and asked them to deliver to a New York address. (I was doing fieldwork in Africa at the time and New York makes most sense for me). Globalmediapro confirmed this arrangement and provided a German bank where I could wire the money. Once I’d done so they wrote an email confirming receipt of that payment.
So far so good, but this is where it starts to get weird.
Just after payment confirmation I received a one-line email announcing that actually Globalmediapro couldn’t deliver a SONY product to customers in the EU and asking for my bank details to send a refund.
Huh?
I wrote back: as I’m not living or working in Europe, and given the delivery is to the US, isn’t that going to be OK?
Their reply said simply they wouldn’t take risks on such a “small deal”. This prompted a rather upset email from me. It made these points:
1. My order on their website clearly detailed a billing address in Germany, the amount in Euros, to buy a SONY product, yet there was no warning at any stage of such an unexpected restriction. The order was successfully placed online and then confirmed by email with instructions for payment.
2. Because of this I had preceded to wire thousands of dollars to their bank account in good faith, which incurred bank fees and left me without the money I could have used to purchase the product elsewhere.
3. This was not a "small deal", not for me or for them. I noted their poor reputation on internet review sites and said I would add my voice there so others wouldn't be caught out.
I asked for a proper, professional explanation and suggested they make it plain to customers that Globalmediapro is unable to send products from one of the world's biggest electronic companies to one of the world's largest economic zones - preferably before they have a customer's money in their bank.
I also recommended that when informing other customers of their limitations that they include an "apology for the inconvenience" and take better care to spell their names correctly, as they had got mine wrong.
Their response to this email did not include an apology, answers to my questions, nor a calm, professional explanation, instead: they would not proceed with “this case” until I’d written a letter retracting my “threats” of a “public defamation campaign”.
I think I know bullying when I see it.
I wrote immediately with my bank details and formally requested the release of my funds. They replied again that first I had to retract my “threats”. (I’m not a lawyer but the words ransom and censorship jumped to mind).
For the first time, they also requested an explanation as to why my contact number was in Africa and could I please prove that this payment had actually been made from my bank account!
Ignoring the offensive insinuations, and that I was now being asked by this faceless company to discuss my personal and professional life, I explained I was in Africa at present and so a phone number there was the best way to reach me in an emergency – something they had not found noteworthy when confirming the order and providing bank details to take my money.
As they hadn’t sent a proper receipt of my payment – just a one-liner saying they had my money – to meet their new requirements I was forced to make a screenshot of my personal bank transaction history showing my name, account details, the payment and my balance.
I also denied I’d made these “threats” they kept referring to. I told them I was entitled to write a customer review just as they carry such reviews on their website to advertise themselves. I had no intention of signing a document that stated I would not go public with their treatment of me.
Their next email took longer to come than the others. Now, after all that had passed, they wrote to say they were “very suspicious about the deal" – noting different tax rates in Germany, US, Africa – and they “cannot be involved”.
Not be involved?! They had all this info from the very beginning. They confirmed my order, organised to receive my money, now they can’t be involved?! In what deal? The only thing remaining was my refund!
So surely, the refund at least was now forthcoming?
No. In spite of the transaction history I had reluctantly sent them, I was now asked to get my German bank to email them personally confirming I had actually made the payment.
I’ve wasted hours, seen my savings bartered over, been accused of a “threatening campaign”, told to formally censor myself, received probing questions about my circumstances and suffered insinuations about being an international tax-dodger, if not at the centre of some elaborate banking scam – based largely, I assume, on providing a contact number in Africa. All this was played out in the most rude, unprofessional set of emails I have ever seen.
All I was trying to do was buy a camera.
My bank, a little bemused perhaps, forwarded the requested email, which I hope confirmed that while I may have been in Africa and indeed may have wanted a product shipped to the US, I was not necessarily a criminal.
At this, Globalmediapro processed my refund.
I’m back where I started: no camera, minus bank fees, plus a heart-lode of stress, disgust and considerable personal offense.
It's not my place to tell anyone how to shop but I will share my deep regret that, despite the reviews, I ignored my instincts with Globalmediapro and failed to ask myself important questions like, Is it worth it? and, Do they deserve it?"
"Payment for US Customers is done through a bank wire. I was extremely skeptical since it cost me an additional fee to wire money. After payment was made, I received an e-mail saying they would not be able to fulfill my order and I would receive a refund. I assumed I would be out the wire fee, which irritated me. I asked for a refund of the wire fee in addition to the product refund, and they gave it to me! They made the refund payment via PayPal so there were no more fees from my perspective. I'm not sure why PayPal isn't accepted as a method of payment since they have an account. If you would rather not pay by wire, I would suggest contacting Customer Service and ask if you can pay via PayPal. Overall, I was extremely impressed and pleased!"
"i bought a hdv recorder that has hardly worked in the 6 months i have owned it. beware buying from globalmediapro as the cost is often hundreds of dollars more expensive to get it through customs if you live in australia.
the playback on the recorder doesn't work. its been 6 months since i bought it and even though they say they give you a 12 month warranty they are refusing to fix it as i plugged the i-link into the computer while the computer was on. this has nothing to do with the playback function.
an update to this 100% truthful review that i wrote. i received this threat from globalmediapro that if i do not remove it they will be taking legal action for costs damaging their reputation against me. never mind my loss of income over the last 6months after being charged over $1500 for a recorder that has never worked properly. no wonder they are NOT an AUTHORISED sony dealer.
no faults were caused by the i-link. how you would guess at this from another country to absolve yourself of responsibility is completely unethical. i have not misused or damaged the equipment. it has been like this since the day i bought it but that doesn't suit you does it."
"After some initial difficulties communicating with GMP I am now very satisfied with the lengths they have gone to to resolve issues.
The products I have received from them have been excellent value and I'd happily shop there again.
I bought a Behringer mixing desk from GMP about three years ago and am still using it almost every day with no problems apart from normal wear and tear. The GMP price was close to half of what others were selling the same mixer for at the time.
More recently I received a large diaphragm studio condenser mic which I've reviewed here: http://www.globalmediapro.com/dp/A00VW4/Globalmediapro-MCS-1VAI-Studio-Condenser-Microphone/ This also represents excellent value for money."
"NOT recommended !
Items ordered on Feb 18, 2012.
Quote stated delivery by UPS within 4-5 days after payment.
Payment received statement on Feb 22, 2012.
Request for tracking no.
Globalmediapro sends tracking information.
Shocked by realizing that courier service is not UPS, but EMS.
Globalmediapro violated sales contract without notice departing from UPS courier service to EMS instead.
From the email correspondence we received, we could not locate any statement by Globalmediapro about the country of origin for the shipment.
Tracking no. not correct, no tracking possible.
Inquiry about wrong number, received correct no.
Tracking information reveals country of origin, Taiwan.
Thus, delivery very unlikely within 4-5 days: EMS courier, standard postal service customs processing, etc.
Communication about inacceptable delivery times due to violation of sales contract depating from UPS.
Suggestions to get a timely solution by sending out again using UPS were not even considered.
We would not have ordered if we knew that Globalmediapro even considered a different courier service for experience.
Till today Mar 04, 2012 no delivery of goods.
Much time devoted to email correspondence with Globalmediapro without getting anywhere close to their advertisement to deliver within "4-5 days", no explanation from their side why they do not adhere to contract. No compensation offered, not agreed on proposal for alternative shipment by UPS with return policy for the EMS shipment, whenever it might be delivered.
Conclusion. NOT recommended."
"comment about globalmediapro: please see my ratings"
"first of all I would like to apologize for any damages and inconvenience I have caused Global media . I was extremely nervous after I have read all these reviews after I have made the payment. So I accidentally logged into my old account and saw an old order of mine with the 50 D on immediately I thought this was a scam and assumed they changed the order. I am so stupid , they did not change the order I just saw the older order. Globalmedia contacted me personally and explained this to me . They also told me that they have received my payment and will ship my camera immediately .So my camera is on the way and I am very sorry about my first review.

"Globalmediapro has fully refunded my purchase after it was discovered that the device had a factory fault (totally out of their control). I highly recommend Globalmediapro as a responsible and reliable company to deal with."
"I'm very unhappy about Globalmediapro and I strongly disencourage all people to buy at this online shop.
I have place an order and made the payment on the 22nd March 2011. It was finally processed on 19th April.Partial shipment send on 24 April.Next item on 25 May. Last item is now suddenly not available (6 June 2011).
My problem with Globalmediapro is that they list an item as "In stock" but source this item only once payment was made into their bank.
Their is a complete lack of communication and false delivery dates promissed."
"The item finally arrived today, over two weeks from date of order. It was in good condition.
I will say no more other than Globalmediapro, be more communicative and I think half your problems will go away.

"I funded the store april the 27th for a Panasonic AG-AF100. I received the item bu DHL on the 3D of may in Belgium! Everything went perfect. I am delighted by the service and the camera as well!! I already own a Canon XH-A1S but this one is another world by the possibilities ( I have 11 Nikon lenses and, among them, the "3G ED" 14-24,24-70,70-200, and a 500mm/4 new one and a 24mm PC, new one also) It is really miraculous.
I formerly ordered a Canon XF-300 to renew my XH-A1S. But i had to cancel ( see my former comment) as the disposal was not evident. GMP counseled me to make up my mind again. So did I for my joy! I then studied the comment of Nigel Cooper ( DVuser: www.dvuser.co.uk, "Panasonic AG-AF101 HD Camcorder" ). This excellent pro had sent another comment abaout the coming soon Sony Nex. As the study for the Sony was bad, the one for the Pana. AG. was dithyrambic! Fully justified. The Pana is ready for your hand, every remark is just even if you must agree with the fact that it was a pre-serie model.
Thank you GMP. I'll recommend you and order again. "
