"I sold a phone last year through Glyde and it went smoothly...or so I thought.
Fast forward a year later, and now I'm trying to sell another phone. I try to log in to Glyde but folks at Customer Service tells me that my account has been blocked indefinitely because the buyer of my phone from last year was a "huge disappointment" to the buyer.
I firmly believe I submitted descriptions of the product that were accurate and priced it accordingly, and while the buyer being disappointed is plausible, I can't comprehend why I was never even contacted by Glyde about this issue at the time of sale. If there was any discrepancy in residual value of the device, I would've been happy to either return the money and receive my phone again or to negotiate a price that sits well with both the buyer and myself, especially since I sold the device below market value so that I could sell it quickly.
Essentially, they chose to block off a returning customer rather than to reach out and try to cooperate with all parties involved. It's the best way to lose customers and this time they have certainly done so. "
"Was trying for 3 and 1/2 weeks to get new iphone 7 for international trip for better camera .. First try phone was canceled by seller, second and third tries finally resulted in phone but seller did not prepare phone . The worst part was customer service , Julie, manager ., who responds every 36 to 96 hours with a generic non specific .. "will watch your account". and "sorry" despite a cell number and plea for contact Wow , email would be fine if the response was timely but it seems inexcusable for new business concept , Palo Alto , 2017 . Woulda rather had a person I could talk to....retro in the worst sense "
"Good selection, but overall a real bummer. The seller never actually shipped the iphone I bought, and so far I've waited nearly 3 weeks. Tomorrow i'm going to cancel the order, get my money back, and get the product from somewhere else. Plus, customer service only responded to 1 of my emails requesting an update, and even then it took them days.
Avoid this reseller if at all possible. The operational model is flawed and they're not worth the slight savings. "
"iphone came sooner than expected. Phone was like new. Works great. Thanks."
"I am a first time user and I thought everything about the reselling process was excellent!!!!

"I made the mistake of buying from glyde.com hoping that they would be better this time, but sadly I repeated my mistake twice more. Unfortunately for me, I didn't learn from GW Bush, "...fool me once, Shame on you. Fool me twice, well you can't fool me twice..." They fooled me three times.
My last experience was that I purchased a phone because mine broke, and 5 days later, I got an email saying "we're sorry but the seller changed his mind". WHAT? " and it will take us up to 8 business days for us to return your money. "WHAT?" Yes, and meanwhile, I sit without a phone and my money!
Their offered resolution for this issue: If I made the mistake of buying again, they'd give me a $10 refund! Ha Ha! I decided to spend $10 and purchased http://glyde-****.com instead!"
"I only have experience in selling my phone (iPhone 6 - shattered screen) and really didn't want to go through the hassle of replacing the glass or haggling with a buyer on CL. I appreciate that the price listed was firm and no interactions were required with the buyer. Although the price was somewhat of a lowball - it was worth it for me to just pack and send the device. I would use the service again for a quick sale of an item that may be difficult to sell via other websites."
"This is a simple coin toss. I posit this opinion based upon my personal experience together with the reviews of others posted online. Here's the deal: Glyde places buyers in contact with, and completely at the mercy of the seller--a nameless, faceless someone with whom you will never interact. If you, the buyer, are connected to an honest seller, you'll find a smooth honest transaction. But, if you draw a short straw, you can really find yourself in a pickle. In my case, I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S4, Verizon compliant phone 10 days ago. I paid an additional $10 for two-day shipping. As it was late Thursday, Aug 3rd, I found the alert of a Monday delivery acceptable, aloting two working days. However, Monday came and went, as did Tuesday--no phone. I verified my order on Glyde's website and found the delivery had changed "Monday delivery" to "Early in the week." I then contacted Glyde via email alerting of concern. They responded that, if I don't recieve the phone by the weekend, the transaction will be cancelled. Late Wednesday I recieved an email from Glyde alerting the phone had shipped. I finally received the phone on Friday, August 11, a full eight days after my order was placed. Upon inserting the battery, I connected the phone and it's accompanying charger to a wall outlet. After two hours, the charge had reduced from an initial 19% charge to 17%. I then took the phone to Verizon who could give no advice concerning the battery but, subsequent 40 minutes' wait, several phone calls, and two escalations they were able to side-step hitherto unheard-of errors and configure for Verizon usage. I returned home and with a little trial and error determined the battery charger was bad. By this time I was feeling like I'd indeed dodged at least two or possibly three bullets. So we overly utilized the phone for the next 60 hours (decision must be made within 72 hours) in order to determine whether or not to keep it. We have kept the phone and it appears to be working adequately. Albeit, Glyde is making no effort to refund the $10 charge I had paid for two-day shipping and, frankly, after the thought of what might potentially have tranaspired, I am eating the expedite charge. Just know this: the folk at Glyde are simply posting products for sellers. The seller's integrity is primary and appears to be hit or miss at best. And Glyde as a business is not terribly helpful but seem to opporate with perhaps a modicum of integrity--possibly only as much as mandated by legalities or perhaps they try to be kind of nice. Bottom line: buy at your own risk as it is indeed a gamble. If any doubt of this warning, simply read the reviews. "
"Bought an iPhone 5s. Everything seemed ok at first glance. Started noticing battery going from 100 to empty in few mins and then back to 100. Had it looked at by my carrier techs. There was evidence of sparking where someone had rigged it up with a battery from a different type of phone. Too late for refund or to leave feedback to warn others on glyde."
"I've bought probably 5 or 6 phones/devices on Glyde and have never had an issue. Items were received in the advertised condition, shipping was relatively quick, and they've always worked. Also sold about 4 phones/devices on Glyde and never had a problem with the process or getting paid. I've recommended it to a few people and they also had good experiences. Unfortunately I didn't "officially" recommend them so I didn't get that little commission. Darn it!"
"Bought a phone that claimed to work with my service provider but rejected instead my SIM and could not find a way around it. Their return policy is super sketch and has no phone number to contact them through. Do not get scammed too!!!"
"Order canceled. These turbo turdos do not deserve a dime from anyone. What a horrible experience. I guess I am buying a phone outright cause **** this hassle.
What a trash company!"
"Just understand if you make a purchase from them, they will place a hold on your account MULTIPLE times until you receive it. I have a phone I ordered and they placed a hold on my bank account for the purchase price when I made the purchase. The phone still hasn't shipped and now they've placed another hold for the same amount. They told me they may place "several holds" before I get the phone. So, if you buy a $300 phone, you may have $600 - $900 taken from your account or charged to your credit card before you even get the phone. You'll get it back (I guess, I haven't yet), but it may screw up your budgeting. "
"Do not buy from Glyde. I received a damaged product. They charged me return shipping and a significant restocking fee. I only got 50% back. Never buy from them again. They didn't reply to any of my emails regarding the damage. This is very unseasonable. "
"I bought one iPhone as a gift. Advertised as excellent, but came in with multiple dents and scratches and a power cord that didn't work. Because it was to be a gift, there was no time to return.
Second time I tried to buy another iPhone as a graduation gift. The order was cancelled twice. No gift for grad party.
Screw me once shame on you, screw me twice shame on me. Never again from Glyde.
