"GoGamer has some great prices on older computer games. Their 48-hour promotions that they have constantly have some very good deals that can't be found elsewhere. The only drawback to these deals is that the shipping is very, very slow. I believe it's via media mail. However, since the shipping was only about $3 on my last order or two games, I can't complain.
Overall, I will be doing business with GoGamer in the future, without a doubt."
"***DON'T SHOP HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE NOT GETTING WHAT YOU ORDERED***
I had placed an order to gogamer.com during their 48 hour gogamer Madness sale on January 19, 2010 an order of 3 games Painkiller : black , Matt hazard , and Stalker Clear Sky. What I had received was a gaffe in shipping where they mailed me some guys packaging that lives in New York and the person who owns the package has nothing in common with me except sharing the 1st name.
What I had instead received was 2 copies Company of Heroes and 2 copies of company of heroes opposing fronts for PC. I've had friends say gogamer.com was reliable in their service and this was my first time shopping here and let's say this first time has left a bitter taste in my mouth from wanting to buy or recommend anyone from buying here in the future.
AS OF JANUARY 27, 2010 CUSTOMER SUPPORT HAS NEVER ONCE ANSWERED MY E-MAILS AND THE PHONE # ON THE INVOICE WAS NOT LEGITIMATE."
"I placed an order for a, "Refurbished" Xbox 360 wireless controller. The price looked right and the shipping was cheap. I received my order about when I expected it. Then I opened the package...
Without even opening the plastic bag it came in I could feel that the right and left bumper buttons were broken. They were flat to the surface and wouldn't, "Click" at all. There was no shipping damage. It was just a broken controller that was never, "Refurbished" at all. Anyone inspecting this item would've easily identified the problem so apparently all that's done to refurbish an item like this is to wipe it down and throw it in a bag and call it, "Refurbished". I realize that Gogamer.com probably didn't do the refurbishing but someone there did pick up the item and put it into a box. They shouldn't sell broken junk.
I went to their website to find a phone number and to see what their return policy is. I realize that I should've checked their return policy BEFORE I ordered but I didn't. I am used to doing business with companies like Amazon that really take care of you. The first thing their customer satisfaction page tells you is that they want you to be, "Completely satisfied". Well, if that's the case then they should pay for return shipping when they send out a clearly-defective item like this. They should also provide an easy-to-find customer service phone number. I couldn't find one. I had to do a Google search in order to find a phone number. So I called them and was told that while they would ship out a replacement item as soon as they received the defective unit back, they wouldn't be paying for the return shipping. Ok, so if I decide to be brave, (And patient) I can rebox the item, relabel it, drive to the post office, wait in line, pay for return shipping, wait for them to receive the item, wait for them to send me a new item, and then hope that the new one isn't broken just like the first one. And if it IS broken I get to pay for return shipping and all of the hassle associated with it again.
I realize that their policy isn't unique. But when the item is clearly broken right out of the box and the customer complains about having to pay return shipping the least they could do is step up and offer to refund the shipping costs. This was completely their fault and it's already inconvenient enough for me. How about showing a little good will and work towards customer satisfaction? I guess not.
They have the cheapest price for this item and the cheapest shipping. But after adding in the added cost and inconvenience of having to return the defective item and the fact that there is no reason to think that the replacement will be any better I've decided to cut my losses and just return it for a refund instead of exchange. I will buy a brand new one from Amazon instead. By the time I add up the return shipping costs, gas money to the post office, and the wasted time, I'm only a few bucks away from a brand new one from Amazon and with Amazon you get a free prepaid return shipping label if there are any problems. I should've done this to begin with.
I won't ever buy from Gogamer.com again. Had they offered to refund the few dollars for my return shipping I would've considered their customer service to be pretty decent and I would've spent quite a bit of money on Xbox 360 games and accessories with them in the future. They would've made back the return shipping costs many times over in future profits. Instead they have a dissatisfied customer and zero profit. Very short sighted on their part. Customer service is why Amazon got so huge and continues to be the first place most people shop, including me. They have never screwed me over in dozens and dozens of orders. Gogamer.com managed to do that in the very first order...Also their last."
"Ordered 2 Xbox 360 controllers and a game. One Xbox controller and game shipped, very quickly. Wasn't until a week later that I realized the second controller was supposed to be a part of the original shipment--used online form to contact customer service, and they had a real person emailing me within mere hours to rectify the situation. Great prices, very pleased with customer service. Will definitely buy from GoGamer.com again."
"Ordered 2 games using default shipping on BlackFriday and they were in my hands the following Tuesday. Order total was $14.80. Civ IV Complete for 9.99 is a steal. Been shopping with gogamer for sometime. Always a pleasure."
"I can't believe some of the reviews on here, never knew gogamer.com had bad experiences!
A little bit about me first, I'm an avid PC gamer, I refuse to even touch one of these worthless consoles, furthermore, consolitus has taken over the world and all these money grubbing stores like gamestop, eb games and all the likes don't sell PC games worth a hippies foot, and I won't step foot into a store like Best Buy and pay ridiculous markup prices.
I live in Rockford, IL and the only PC store we had, was compusa, and that was a horrid store which obviously was shut down.
The only store Rockford has left for PC games would be best buy and gamesotp, both of which I won't spend my money at.
Where do I shop for pc games? Gogamer. I've been buying games off gogamer for the past 2 years, ridiculous amounts of money spent, and not once did I ever have an issue. I think people are just to critical and impaitient when it comes to themselves. I've even had to cancel my order a couple times and even that was smooth sailing, the process was a bit slow but they got it sorted.
I will only now, and forever, buy my PC games from gogamer.com"
"Poor customer service, sent 2 separate emails asking why my purchase has not shipped after 2 weeks, when it says it ships in 24 hrs. and both responses, were the same generic generated response to both emails that I sent to them, will not ever purchase from them again. All they needed to do, was take a minute to answer my question, and I guess that was asking too much from them."
"Ordered an Arcosta keyboard on the 11th and paid with Paypal. Received a shipping email on the 12th and received package to my door on the 13th. I was a bit worried with all the horrible ZERO ratings and that their website does NOT have a contact telephone number, but my order was processed very quickly and without issues."
"Purchased from them before without any problems but this time I bought a game that was part of their 48-hour madness sale. Received order confirmation. The next morning, received email stating order has been automatically cancelled without any proper explaination. i tried to order it again and again it was cancelled.
tried to order someone else 3 days later and it was cancelled as well. finally received a reply stating they had difficulties obtaining authorization even though i use this credit card almost every day."
"PROS: I got a good deal on a TrackIR 5 & Rise of Flight combo.
CONS: They don't update their order status as quickly as they should. They don't explain some of their statuses--for example, mine is showing a status of "sourced", but clicking on the status link doesn't show any such status. Their shipping department really needs some work. Three days ago my order changed to "shipped", yet there is no USPS tracking number. Moreover, it was "shipped" from a warehouse about 15 miles from me and still hasn't arrived. Which leaves me to believe that it really did not "ship". It makes me feel like they are not being completely honest about how fast their orders are going out. I'm saving 10% on the bundle, but for less hassle somewhere else I would have happily paid the extra 10%.
Their customer service number is difficult to find--for the record it is ***-***-****.
I would probably not purchase anything else from this merchant until they improve their order and delivery system.

"I purchased a pre-order for a game that came out on the 15th of September and paid a little extra for 3-day shipping. I got a shipment notification email on the 15th with a tracking number. Nothing came and the tracking still showed it hadn't left their facility yet. So on the 21st I sent an email asking what's going on with my package. I was told it would be arriving the next day and that it would ship that day.
I don't understand how they didn't have the game to ship to me and yet sent me a shipping notification on the 15th.
The next day came and went and still no update on the tracking so I sent another email on Wed saying that if it hadn't already shipped, then cancel the order and credit back the charge.
I got a response saying that the game had conveniently just shipped on Wed (even though they told me it was supposed to ship on Tue). At this point they probably should have upgraded the shipping or waived the shipping charge after two separate missed shipping dates and no answers to my questions.
This was not my first order to them but it will certainly be my last."
"Im about finished dealing with gogamer.com
They run specials from time to time advertising luring you in to get you to order through them but you will end up regretting it with their customer service if you run into any problems.
After a long delay I was happy to get two different emails telling me my games shipped on Sept 8th and was given a tracking number, and my credit card charged.
However, a week went by and no games were received and the tracking number just stated shipping info received any nothing more.
Come to find out, they didnt actually ship it until over a week later and the tracking number finally updated to reflect this. After speaking to customer service several times they just ignore the issue and dont seem to care.
My previous order I was supposed to recieve a tshirt as part of a promotion. No tshirt shipped with my package and all requests for service went unanswered.
Gogamer doesnt care about customers, so they also must not care about never getting business from repeat customers.

"Placed an order and then decided to cancel it. Received a confirmation email saying my request had been received and would be processed in 3-5 days. But instead, I get an email 4 hours later saying my order was shipped! So now if I refuse shipment, I will be slapped with a 10% (or minimum of $5) restocking fee.
If the order process was too far along for me to cancel, their system should not have allowed me to modify my order. But it did let me submit my cancellation. GoGamer simply decided to ignore it. Will never buy from them again."
"Awesome deal and the shipping was very fast for free!"
"I ordered a product through Google checkout and after not receiving any communication about the order (besides that my credit card was charged), I inquired about the status about 2 weeks later. I was told that the product was not in stock and I would need to get refund. It looks like I will be getting a refund, so I hope at least that will go ok. "
