I completed checkout, gave them the credit card info of course, and had my order cancelled today. I agree with others that they do this to harvest accounts/spam purposes. This site is a scam to collect your credit card, email, and address to sell to spammers and charge your credit card for "services" you don't want a month after they have your info. I pre-ordered an xbox kinect using their "coupon" for 20% off, order was fine until the release date, and then canceled THE DAY OF RELEASE!
So its bad enough I don't have the xbox kinect I promised my daughter for the only weekend I'm going to see her until Thanksgiving, but also I'm spammed and scammed. BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE (AMAZON) THIS HEADACHE IS NOT WORTH IT!!!"

The company is a complete scam. They advertise sales, gather tons of accounts, emails, mailing addresses, and credit card information, and then cancel ALL of them due to "availability."
I have emailed their customer service asking why the product was not just shipped when the stock was replenished. That is a waste of time - I never get a response.

I ordered quite a few T-shirts that went on sale. 6 arrived damaged or still containing their security ink tags. I called up gohastings, they gave me a return label, and I returned them. Three weeks later I call to check, they have not yet received my return, and what's this - there's no sign of my original order even!
Sounds like fraud to me. "

"I ordered Mass Effect 2, new, at very attractive price only to find out 2 weeks later that the order was cancelled. Worse yet, I only found out by looking up the order myself. I never received an email stating my order was cancelled.
When I emailed them asking what had happened, they in no way try and remedy the situation, instead they simply apologize and failed to follow up with 2nd email. That's why I'm here, hoping they will try and make things right.

"I placed an order on Saturday, June 19th, during GoHasting's B2G1F ($1) sale, and bought Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, and Soul Nomad & The World Eaters. All three items were in stock (obviously) at the time of my purchase, and my credit card was charged. Three days later (Tuesday) I checked the status of the order and saw that it was still not shipped. I sent an e-mail to customer service asking what the problem was, and they essentially told me that I had bought (and was charged for) a game that they do not have, and confessed to having inaccurate inventory whilst stating that Soul Nomad was out of stock.
I was also told that an order stays active for 14 days after it has been placed, so if the game restocks they would send it to me. Which is indeed what happened, a week after I initially ordered the items. But my question is, what would of happened if it didn't restock? They already sent me the two other games, so would they have canceled the whole order and made me pay to ship them back? Would they of canceled only the one out of stock game and reversed the B2G1F deal, forcing me to pay full price on the $1 ("free") game? Such questions went unanswered, as all of my further inquiries to customer service were utterly ignored.
Inaccurate inventory, slow shipping, poor customer service, and possible 'Bait And Switch' tactics. Do not buy from this company."
"GoHastings had a great sale price on an item I wanted so I placed an order...waited and waited and waited for it to ship out with no status updates on the website. I even emailed customer service twice and never got a response to either of my emails.
Finally, I check online again and see they canceled my order. Didn't even have the courtesy to send me an email. I emailed them back asking them to re-place the order for me honoring the sale price, and surprise, surprise, I get no response.

I ordered a video game and was charged for it promptly.
A week later I was informed that it was unavailable and would not be charged for it. So I checked my credit card records and alas the charge still stands.
The customer service assures me this is not possible. So unfortunately I have to go through my credit card company to sort this cluster cuss out.
To add insult to injury I looked on their website to see if they had updated the items unavailable status and they had not.
I would suggest never giving this company your business. Most likely they will take your money and you have nothing but headaches to show for it.
