"Ordered 4 used PS3 games from GoHasting couple weeks ago since I got a coupon code and want to give it a try. These used games are in great condition without any damage on the disk or the box. Certainly they are all in working condition. Shipping fee is quite high, make it hard to have small order.

"Bad experience. I ordered a used book showing in stock from them. More than a week later I wrote them an email asking where the book was. They sent me an almost immediate response back that the book had been shipped and I would have it soon. When I got the book, it wasn't the book I ordered! Right author, wrong book. I emailed them about the problem, no response. I am now holding for an agent for the 2nd time today, was on hold 10 minutes this morning and hung up, on hold for another 10 minutes now with no luck. I am contesting the charge with my credit card company. Horrible experience, will never order from them again."
"Beware of purchasing products from GoHastings. My experience with them is I purchased a 16 GB iPod Nano from them as a gift to my daughter and had it shipped to her. She was not aware that I purchased the 16 GB. They sent her the 8 GB, a lesser value item; the old bait and switch. I found out about the error about three months after the transaction. When I called them they admitted the error but refused to do anything about it. I requested they return the difference in price. They refused. I will never do business with this company again."
"This website is terrible to order from. I ordered a game on Januray 28th 2011 and battled with the company for months about when I would be getting my game. Finally, after over 5 months on July 6th 2011 they told me they would refund my money but still I would not be getting what I originally ordered many months ago. They constantly promise that the problem has been taken care of when you call but when you call the next time with questions they reveal that the problem was never solved in the first place. Save your money and your time!!"

"I ordered Halo Reach Legendary Edition at a great price and received it promptly. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase and will order from them again. Being from the southwest, I recognize Hastings as the same entertainment retail chain with a strong local retail presence. Heck, they are a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq. I was surprised to see so many negative ratings. Most complaints are about cancelled orders for Kinects and the such. I had no problems with them."
"I don't usually rate items either but after my experience, I thought I should chime in. I had ordered Mass Effect 2 and Fallout 3 for the Xbox 360 back in February 2011. The order process was good and the prices for both games were excellent. I received the packages within 3 business days. Only problem was that the two games I ordered were for the Sony PS3. The invoice that came with the 2 games clearly says Xbox 360. I understand if GoHastings tried to substitute if the game was oversold but at least get the format right. I sent an email about this and within 48 hours, I got an RMA. I was able to send the games back and get a refund. At least they reimbursed my shipping costs. I am leery to buy again from GoHastings since you don't know if you will get the right game for the right gaming system."
"by far the worst company I've personally every had to deal with. I ordered a Microsoft Kinect back in April 2011. I received the product a few days later, first of all kinect was shipped in a large yellow envelope (something you would receive a book in). Kinect was broken, Game was broken, missing cables.
its now been a month with the item still "out of stock" unable to get a new one. returning the package also took well over three weeks to receive the funds. will never deal with this company again."

"Ordered 4 Bounty Hunter Metal Detectors that GoHastings listed on sale through Amazon. Amazon later sent an email confirmation that the Metal Detectors had shipped. What arrived in two separate shipments was Burt's Bees lip balm. Burts is nice stuff, but not the metal detectors I ordered for the grandchildren. Thay also charged my card for the amount of the metal detectors plus shipping. They have agreed to refund the money, but made no attempt to make good on the products I ordered. Here is what this is: GoHastings floats cash from your credit card, effectively giving themself a loan. If they get a hundred thousand people to purchase $10, they give themself a loan of $1 Million. They have to refund it, but it looks great on their December report to the board or stockholders. I will order from Amazon again, but not if the product is coming from GoHastings. "Merry Christmas everyone! I ordered an XBOX 360 console for my children for Christmas. When ordered, the item was shown as 'in stock' and a few days later, the order was shown as 'in progress. After a week I was concerned because the item still had not been delivered. I contacted gohastings and was told I would have the item by Christmas. Well, today is Christmas morning and I never received the item. In fact, I was sent an email by gohastings on Christmas eve telling me they had canceled my order!!!! Not the type of company to do business with. I'll now spend all my free internet time blasting this company for their terrible service and how the ruined Christmas for my boys! Hope this company folds!"
"I have never taken the time to write a review, good or bad, for anything. But I am so disappointed with my experience that I have to write a review. During the checkout process, it said that my items usually ship within 48 hours. Now, more than 8 days later...my item still has not shipped..it is still "processing". I tried calling their customer service more than 3 times, each time I sat on hold for over 15 minutes and eventually I just hung up. Then I sent an email and got an automated reply stating that due to high business volume their response would be delayed, and that I should call their customer service number. So I called the number again, and I waited on hold for more than 15 minutes...again. Finally I got through to someone who told me that my order was not available, so they were trying to find it in their other stores...and it will be shipping out tomorrow. I was never notified that my item was unavailable and never given the option to choose a different product that is available, or to cancel my order. The guy told me that it will arrive in 10 business days. I am buying this item as a christmas gift...but now the item will not be here for christmas. Had the item shipped out within 48 hours...like it said, it would have made it here well before christmas. I paid $6 for shipping...so that they could wait 9 days to ship it out to me...and then have it take another 10 business days to get to me. What a joke. Don't waste your time or money with this company!"

Order placed using a coupon on December 5. Product showed as in stock at time of order; out of stock several hours later, and in stock again the very next morning (after the coupon expired).
Two weeks later, nothing has shown up. Called the customer service number, and after ten minutes on hold, I'm told that my order was canceled. "Email was sent," they claim. False. Never went to spam. Never went to trash. Never received anywhere.
I suggested politely that, since the item currently shows in stock, they could fulfill the order as placed - as far as I'm concerned, they never canceled it, so they still owe me that product. Refused to help.
Avoid this company like the plague. "
