"This is my fourth tour with this group and I couldn't have better things to say about this company. They do an amazing job making sure the trip you take is smooth. I gave this trip only 4 stars because I've had better tour guides in the past and I did end up getting sick on the trip, which EF handles very well and was on top of helping me get care. Overall, I will continue to recommend this tour company to everyone I know and meet."
"Many educational and fun experiences with Samia. Best guide ever!!"
"From the moment we landed in Bangkok until the day we left the trip was awesome. Our Thai and Kmer tour guides were exceptional in their knowledge (and pride) of their countries and the sights we visited, giving us far more than a recitation of dates and names. In-country transportation, lodging, and eating logistics were handled flawlessly and the special-diet travelers in our group were well taken care of. Our Thai guide made several unplanned stops and on-the-fly adjustments to give us a better experience and make use of some unexpected free time. The quality- and quantity- of food was amazing, in the hotels as well as at lunch stops. We took advantage of two cooking class excursions and still had plenty of time to explore- and buy!- at the night markets in Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, and Siem Reap. The ladies all raved about their Thai massages.
Would we go back? Absolutely! With Go-Ahead? Yes!"
"I enjoyed the tour very much. But looking back, perhaps there were too many churches and not enough other things. "
"We had an excellent tour guide (Jacob) & drivers (ours was Antony) in Kenya - the "A" team. They set the bar very high - very knowledgeable & saw so many animals in their national habitat. Very thoughtful & took great care of us. Great food. The balloon ride was amazing. On the other hand, the Tanzania team was not nearly as good. The first day, our driver put the top up on the vehicle and went 50+ kilometers per hour - flying down the road - throwing dust/dirt all over us & our luggage and never slowed down to see any animals. Seemed like he was racing everywhere and it was not enjoyable. We had to tell him nearly every day to slow down &/or close his window (&/or the top) until we were in a position to spend time looking at the animals. We were able to enjoy the last couple of days & see some animals. One negative -while in Kenya (Sept 2019), we purchased 2 large statues at the 79 Curio shop (at the Equator) that were supposed to arrive at our Nevada, USA home in 2 weeks. It has been 5 1/2 mons & we still don't have them. The vendor said he would ship 2 more but wanted another $300 to ship. We said said no as we've already paid for shipping once. We are not sure whether they were ever shipped or just lost. We have filed a dispute with our credit card company. Our tour guide, Jacob, has been our advocate and is still trying to help us resolve this issue. In summary- we highly recommend the Kenya safari but neutral on the Tanzania extension - although we did see a lot of cats there when the driver wasn't racing from one location to another. "
"This was our first time going with GAT and it was a great experience. Our tour director Alessandra was amazing and knowledgeable about Italy. Each city had a local tour guide which was a plus! The included meals were a good time to get to know everyone in the group. "
"The trip to Egypt was among the highlights of my experience as a traveler throughout the world. From Cairo to Alexandria, from Aswan to Luxor, the trip was filled with surprises and with our discoveries of things that we thought we already knew. If the itinerary was filled with wonderful adventures, our tour guide and tour director was filled with other surprises, including a hot air balloon ride over the Nile River and the Valley of the Kings at dawn. This had to be I’m on the greatest experiences I’ve ever had.
In addition to seeing the great pyramids at Giza, the temple of Ramses II at Abu Simbel, and the Temple of Hatshepsut at Luxor, meeting every day Egyptian people was one of the highlights of the trip. Finally, the extension to Jordan — including trips to Petra and Mount Nebo — capped off a terrific tour, which also included wonderful hotels in Petra, Giza and Amman."
"This was my fiance's and I first trip to Europe and we could not have been happier with the experience!! It was very easy to book our trip in the beginning and EF Go Ahead Tours was more than accomodating when they needed to move our trip up a week. From the moment we arrived in Germany, until we left Budapest, Atto Suttarp was an amazing tour director and we can not speak enough about how his hard work has made this trip such an amazing experience. His personality, knowledge of the cities, and his overall kindness made this trip that much better. The cities were beautiful and I loved the rich history that we experienced throughout the whole trip. The Christmas markets were amazing and I enjoyed the markets and the gluhwein! I can not speak highly enough about this trip! I would recommend this trip to anyone who is looking for an amazing experience without feeling stressed about the planning. "
"Every thing was wonderful. The tour guide was so on point. "
"Overall excellent experience with our first Go Ahead Tour! Great itinerary and tour guide as well."
"Several of us had traveled with EF and GoAhead before and had great experiences so we wanted to take our other family members to see where some of our heritage was from. We didn't buy big presents for Christmas this year and decided instead to go to Ireland, Scotland and England. We ranged in age from 2 1/2 to 75 and had a wonderful time! Kurt our guide went out of his way to make it great for all of us and our driver Paddy was awesome as well. We will for sure travel with GoAhead again! "
"It was my first time to be in Costa Rica and it was a great experience"
"We loved the ability to explore freely and also see the city in it's holiday splendor. Out hotel happened to be close to the Termini so we had easy access to the metro and trains (to go out of the city one morning). "
"Having been to London in the summer, I had a much better time going for New Years. The crowds were less, the weather wasn’t near as cold as I expected, and the Christmas decorations were beautiful. We have a group that has made New Years in different cities a tradition, and going through Go Ahead makes the whole process easy (especially since we live all over the US). There’s plenty of free time so we can discover things on our own, and different excursions we can choose to go on. Our hotel was literally next door to an underground station, so after Kay (our tour director) gave us a short lesson and our Oyster Card, we were on our way! Make sure you pre-buy as many tickets and make as many reservations as possible before you go (especially if you want to see a show in the East End, or go to Harry Potter Studios). "
"I loved every minute of this tour, and highly recommend EF Go Ahead Tours for their professionalism and attention to every detail for the traveller. This is an action-packed 22 days, very educational, with amazing optional excursions. I took advantage of all optional excusions, and was very impressed. So many great memories, awe-inspiring adventures every day, from snorkelling with tropical sea life on the Great Barrier Reef to riding a gondola over the Rain-Forests, delicious locally-sourced meals every day, great hotel accommodations and a wonderful Tour Director. It was a dream come true to go on this tour!"
