"Traveled on the Kenya Safari Tour in July/August 2014 and had a wonderful experience with Go Ahead Tours. Our guide/drivers were excellent, and the lodging accommodations chosen were very nice and each offered a unique experience. They adjusted the itinerary to allow more time out in the field with more opportunities to see the animals in the bush and less time in Nairobi - which I very much appreciated. Even the optional excursions - such as a balloon ride over the Maasai Mara and a night game drive on the Kigio Conservancy - which we were not aware of in advance, were very much worth any extra cost. I was traveling alone but never was concerned for my safety - the tour guides and the staff at the hotels and tent camps took special care to see to my well-being. While the road trips between the parks and other wildlife areas can be long and often very bumpy - in addition to seeing the panorama of Kenya - this on the ground travel gives you some insight into how the people struggle to live, especially in the rural areas - and how important the tourist economy is to their survival and the preservation of Kenya's wildlife and wild places. Do your homework about the history of Kenya, the sites on the itinerary and the conservation work with the wildlife of Kenya - the more you know the more you will appreciate what you experience. The Go Ahead Tour staff here in America did their best to answer questions. Feel free to also ask questions of the guides and other locals that you meet - they are proud of their country and happy to share its treasures. "

"We celebrated our 50th anniversary with our family on a Go Ahead Tour to Italy. It was wonderful. Hotels were good. Tour guides were excellent and very informative.
Big complaint though, travel arrangements (especially through United Airlines) were horrendous!!!!
Both going to and returning from Italy. Please arrange more time between flights. We missed our connection getting to Italy and almost missed it getting home.

"The tour to England and Wales was perfect trip for a first-timer to Great Britain and even great for someone like me, who's been there several times. The tour included so many of the top "bucket-list" sights, like the guards in formation and marching off to the changing ceremony in London, the historic city walls and magnificent cathedral in York, the Prince of Wales's beautifully maintained home castle in Caernarfon, the Roman baths of Bath, mystical Stonehenge, and beautiful, historic Salisbury cathedral. One of the best features of this trip was the perfect location of each hotel, especially our hotel in London--just steps away from the Tower and a modest walk to St. Paul's cathedral. The hotel in York was close enough to the city center so we could easily walk over to check out the Shambles on our free evening, and the hotel in Bath was also just a short walk to the city center, allowing us to do some shopping during some free time. There were a couple of glitches--I did not receive clear instructions about transportation to the hotel on arrival, and there was some confusion about arrangements for riding the cog railroad to the top of Mt. Snowdon in Wales. But our great guide managed to smooth over the rough spots. Not only did he arrange for us to ride the train to the top of the mountain, he somehow convinced the almost-constant clouds to clear away and we had a spectacular view. Our time in Wales, and our optional day trip to several Cotswold towns , especially Wells, with its glorious cathedral, really set this tour apart from the ordinary. Instead of going on the optional trip to Whitby, near York, our guide helped us arrange for a city guide to drive us to Castle Howard, a magnificent manor house nearby, which turned out to be a really memorable excursion that we'd highly recommend to other travelers."
