I live in Egypt and created my account from within Egypt. A few months after, I went to visit the US for a few weeks. During my visit I wanted to buy Destiny 2 as I had some free time to play it. I went to their store and searched for a MEA key since keys are region locked. Their website said that I'll get the region appropriate key on purchase. So when filling up my details for purchase, I selected Egypt as the country. I paid the money, got the key.
When I tried to redeem the key it failed because it belonged to a different region. So I went to Green Man Gaming and asked them to either replace the key or refund me. They told me to contact Blizzard to change my region to US instead of Egypt (already had an account with Blizzard). Blizzard said it wasn't their problem because I bought the key from GMG (which I agree with) and if I want to change region I have to provide legal documents to state I live in the country I want to change to.
Since I am only visiting, I don't have such documents. I went back to GMG and explained the whole thing and asked them to either refund the unused key or give me a different one. They said there is nothing to do about that and when I said I provided the correct information they said their system uses GPS location not provided location. When I mentioned how am I to know, they evaded the question.
So now I am stuck with a key I can't use, I lost $50 and I practically got told that this is the way it will be and they won't help.
Literally worst experience I have ever had. Even G2A had better customer service than this."
"Been really enjoying this site as of late, the loose change games and sales here can be really spectacular for the price...I managed to pickup some of the games on my steam wishlist for dirt cheap and others I hadn't heard of before that they brought to my attention and had good sales on. I thought this is too good to be true but bought it and found sometimes the truth is great. The game is exactly what I wanted and I will use Green Man Gaming again."
