"I've bought a Steam key for a game shown as available, after the payment they sent me a message saying they are out of stock and they will send me the key whenever it will be available, no refund. I will never trust them again."
"I couldnt redeem a code. So i submitted a request to refund. Only respond i got was the generic "have you tried this instead" message.
Still havent got a refund even though i should because I tick every box in the list of there refund policy..."
"I could not activate my game key on my region."
"Nowhere does it say the game is a digital download. They disguise that fact for a reason. Nor does it say anywhere that you have to download and learn how to use a new gaming client to be able to use the game. It doesn't work with steam, they trick you by telling you to log into your steam to see the game, but it's not there. I had immediate warnings that someone was attempting from outside the country to get into my steam account after that. The reason they hide all the conditions is that most people aren't willing to pay full price for a digital download when you can just buy a physical copy for the same price. I did not get what I was expecting, so I requested a cancelation. They refused to refund my payment so I opened a PayPal dispute, they lost and I got my money back, but not without a lot of hassle. These Trust pilot reviews look Skewed to me, try googling green man gaming complaints and see the thousand-plus people are all leaving one-star reviews and saying the same thing. Tier support is terrible. If you have any problems they do not stand behind what they sell, they will not do anything to solve your problem and they will not agree to cancel a transaction for any reason, Beware of dealing with this company, they are outside the US and make sure you pay with PayPal so you can get your money back if they screw you."
"Really appreciated the opportunity that the website offered to me to get my hands on one of my favorite game at lower price."
"
no problems, steam keys work perfectly"
"I bought a game which I tries for less than 10 minutes and hated it and so asked for a return and refund. After several emails asking for more information I was told I couldn't get a refund for the game. No reason why. I will agree they are very efficient and answer the ticket swiftly."
"BEWARE - do not purchase from this company. I purchased what I thought was a game for my little boys Nintendo switch, it turned out to be for the pc, I noticed when I got my confirmation email, contacted them right away to explain and ask for a refund to be told no refunds, I’ve now had to open a PayPal dispute to try get my money back. Disgusting customer service!! "
"I was waiting for several months to purchase a download key for a game that came out this year. I was holding out in the hopes of being able to find a good deal on it for Black Friday or Cyber Monday, or really any other Day related type deal.
Surprisingly, a few sites were running deals on the game that I wanted (Borderlands 3), even the makers/studios site was running a deal directly on this game. I was very surprised to find it cheaper at Green Man Gaming by a decent chunk
I'm surprised because not only did I never hear of Green Man Gaming before this, and it was significantly cheaper there than anywhere else (nearly 50% off), but they also included another download key for 5 games from Intel. The codes worked flawlessly, I've been playing happily, and saved a decent chunk of change that I can put towards DLC. I do not buy games or other software that often but I'm going to be checking on Green Man Gaming before Steam or anywhere else moving forward. "
"It was my first time buying here, so I was kinda worried but I loved it. Great prices, fast and reliable. Will become a regular customer no doubt. Thank you very much :)"
"Don't open two tabs with two different games for this website. When I was shopping, I was deciding between BL3 or MW, so I had two tabs open. When I decided I wanted MW, I closed BL3 and went through the whole process to purchase MW. Their website is optimized so poorly that it gave me BL3 at the 'thank you for buying' page. Mind you that the price was for MW and evidence of MW is all I saw before clicking through buying.
I tried contacting them. All they said is that they were investigating it but a day later, I got an email saying they're throwing out the case
Be careful buying on this website."
"You'll pull your hair out trying to give this company your money. They just won't take it.
The address field on checkout doesn't load, you can't select Paypal, if you try to pay with a credit card it will just say the address must not be empty, but it never loaded so you never knew. It keeps saying there was "a small issue", but that "small issue" literally happens whenever the website needs to load something from what I assume is their backend (those green loading bars of theirs), meaning you literally can't buy anything or even update your profile."
"I bought Frostpunk in the sale and it came with an intel gaming pack and a 100% voucher off selected games. I activated both while Frostpunk was installing. I used the voucher on Injustice. I have not installed Injustice or any of the games from the Intel gaming pack, but I had severe problems with Frostpunk. They said initially after a convuluted procedure with my DXDIAG file they would refund. However, today they refuse to do so saying the other stuff was activated. There is no play time on any of them, they have not been installed. Frostpunk itself is all but useless. GMG just say they refuse a refund. What the hell, they won't be getting my custom again."
"Went to complete my purchase from their new sale only to find that they have doubled the price when I put it in the cart. It was still in their new sale which ends on March 26th with a sale price, but now higher. I checked a few products in the SAME sale category to see if the sale had ended after 1 day but they were still the same reduction and the same end date. Only the item I put in my cart had increased(and in this case doubled) in price.
Edit:
After chatting with a 'GMG adviser' via a ticket I just got obstruction after obstruction. They stated "someone must of made a price error and corrected it", then "it was a different sale" even though it's still in the same sale(at a different price). "Can you provide a screenshot"- waited 2 hours for that one. I wish I screenshot every price of item I ever looked at just in case- pathetic!
ON THEIR WEBSITE IT SHOWS 4 1/2 OUT OF 5 STARS ON RESELLER RATINGS- IT'S ACTUALLY 3!"
"I have never used this site until I tried to purchase Resident Evil 2, and after my experience I never will again. I filled out the requested forms, including my address for shipping, and paid only to find out it was not a physical copy, but a digital code. I did not use the code, and requested a refund within hours of the purchase, but these guys still refused to refund me. It does not clearly inform the buyer anywhere that it is a digital only copy, and even says free shipping at some point. Why would it say free shipping if there is nothing to ship? "
