"I previously pre-ordered Fallout 4 from Green Man Gaming without any problems, then came along the Black Friday sale..

Ordered a set of DLC packs for a game on my Steam account from GMG. I entered the codes, and to my surprise, they did not work as Steam reported I already had the DLC in my account. When I submitted a support ticket, the customer service rep merely repeated what I saw on Steam, and rather dismissively told me to contact Steam customer service, who in turn, instructed me to contact the game publisher.

The publisher's customer support proved to be far more effective than GMG's, by far. Eventually, through them I found out I did in fact already own the DLC in question (chalk that up to my admittedly poor memory), although the publisher did state it was a rather common occurance with their DLC, and suggested I get a refund from GMG.

Problem is, according to their refund policy, it would seem I am out of luck, as I am out of the 7 day cutoff for refunds according to GMG. So it would appear that settles that. Sure, in the end, GMG gets a rather paltry five dollars and 80 cents for DLC that I already own. But they have also lost me as a customer due to how this situation was handled, and of course, I will be sure to inform any of my friends and associates to NOT do business with Green Man Gaming. I hope the $5.80 is worth it...
