"Used to think GMG was awesome thanks to their VIP deals, sales and vouchers and as such, bought many games from them. But, my most recent experience with "Karl" who claims to be a supervisor of customer service has been ridiculous. Karl was rude, unhelpful and flat out refused to address the blog post I quoted where GMG clearly said
"Warner Bros. are currently working on a patch which we are hoping will be released soon," according to the GMG blog post. "We want you to enjoy your game, but if after the fix has been released, you still cannot play your game, we will process refund requests for the game."
Now, He has completely ignored the multiple times I quoted that blog post and only linked the September 3rd announcement claiming that since the game was "fixed" GMG will no longer offer refunds.
When I told him that it was only an interim patch and 5 months down the road with the game still unplayable despite the patch. I wanted a refund. All he would say is "we no longer offer refunds for this product". Over and over again.
Nothing else, Refused to acknowledge the blog post, refused to honor their word. This basically means that GMG are liars who will only offer refunds when there is media attention around botched AAA title launch and quietly dick over people who want a refund despite them promising one.
I've opened another ticket to lodge a complaint about Karl's conduct and to see if i can escalate this issue to Karl's superior to resolve my issue and give a proper explanation instead of parroting one line and ignoring the issue.
UPDATE 5 Oct 2015
I was contacted by Daniele who heads up the customer service division. All she did was repeat Karl's line and refused to acknowledge that they lied about refunds claiming the game was "fixed' by the interim patch and won't honor refunds. This clearly contradicts the promise they made in the blog post with the weak justification of the half assed patch to not honor their word is really shady.
To compound this, Karl's behavior is "in line with company policy". So, as far as they are concerned, Karl was the model customer service rep and they didn't lie. I would stay the hell away from GMG. If you been buying anything from them and not run into any problems, then good on you. If you run into a problem where you need moral integrity from GMG, God help you."
"I was really skeptical at first since some of their prices (especially once you apply their coupon codes) was a little TOO good to be true. Especially on preorder games... how do they offer it so low when even Steam can't compete and they keys... are for STEAM?! But, after about a year I now purchase just about everything through them, from AAA prepurchases to indie games.
They're legit, have an awesome "VIP" folder that always seems to make me wish I had more money!
Anyway.. if you're still not sure like I wasn't at first.. just buy something small and work your way up. They're for real though."
"It was exelent.. Really!!."
"Green Man Gaming have fantastic prices on most of the games they offer, Also they offer good promotional vouchers every other day which i think its fantastic, always love a bargain.its been helping me get more games that i like"
"Great, quick & easy, awesome deals, prices and experience!"

"Bought battlefield hardlines as a gift for a friend and when we tried to activate it we found out it was a invalid key.. i sent in screenshots of this error and asked for a refund its been almost 4 days now and no response. i will not purchase fr0m them again."
"DO NOT BUY VIP DEALS
They are not steam copies of games and it does not state that. They will also not refund anything, ever. This last transaction I've had with them will be my last ever. I told them that their policy violates the law in my country and they dismissed it. Fortunately I wasn't making that up and the Ministry of Consumer Affairs is interested."
"I have been a customer with GMG for a while now. I tried to purchase a game they had on sale and my order was refused. I contacted customer service who requested that I provide a copy of my credit card. I didn't provide it at the time because sending credit card information over email doesn't seem to be very secure. I finally caved in because they had some great price on a game. I worked with Mark to try and resolve the issues, but their site would never try to make the purchase. Instead it would instantly reject my order. Today I received an email from somebody named Rose who said they were cancelling my account. What horrific customer service.
Contacted me and explained problem. I still wish they would have tried to resolve the issue with me first before banning me."
"Got my game no issues. Will shop there again."
"Bait and Switch / Deceiving Terms / Unhelpful Customer Service
I bought a game thinking it was for steam. One reason for this was that it included a free steam game and did not say anything about another DRM other then you redeem a code for the game. The code for the game didn't activate, but the code for the free steam game did, and I contacted customer service about it. They said the game does not use steam but taletell's own DRM. Im very confused and customer service acted like I knew it. I kindly asked for a refund as I didn't play the game at all, but they were very rude to me stating that the matter is solved and closed. "
"Have used Green Man Gaming for a number of years now, never had an issue with them and this transaction was no different.
With money off vouchers and keen prices, I can't fault them. "
"I wanted to get a refund on GTA 5, which did not work despite my best efforts to make it work. I had been trying out literally over a dozen different possible solutions from around the web, official and unofficial ones. I had eventually proven that it was not due to my PC but the faulty client downloader of the game which somehow corrupted files and made it refuse to start. Buiying it and downloading it through Steam's more reliable client (where you also can verify files, unlike Rockstar's "Social Club" client) eventually solved it for me, but then I'm stuck with an extra key from GMG which doesn't do anything for me.
I was not granted this refund. Naturally, I can't say I'm very pleased with that. I thought that, according to EU law, you can lift any such purchase within 14 days. Apparently you guys are above that. I was not offered what I asked, and the persons I talked with did not come across to me as helpful in finding any alternatives or ways to solve the issue for me. This is frankly the kind of customer service I expect from Steam, and not you guys.
I will think twice before I purchase from you again, which is sad because up until this point I've had no problems (though I haven't been in contact with your customer service THAT much either)."
"This is a great sight for buying games. The prices are good and the delivery is fast."
