The only problem was bolting it to the floor the hole should be offset front to back so it will be more stable and in the middle like it comes. Other than this it was a great buy."

"A very good experience overall. I ordered on Monday and by Friday I was setting up a delivery date for the following week. They forgot to include the dehumidifier with my order but a phone call to customer service connected me to a very helpful and friendly woman who shipped me a replacement the next day. The only negative part of my purchase experience was the effort to charge me $35 additional for delivery with a truck utilizing a lift gate. "I'm a CPL holder and own a couple of handguns. Otherwise, I'm not someone into guns in a big way. I have nothing against hunting, but I've just never hunted myself. As a result, the only gun safe's I own are both for handguns.

This purchase was for a small, portable and high-quality handgun safe which would allow me to keep a handgun locked in my car while at the same time, being attached by cable to the back of a passenger seat leg.

I'm very happy with the product; which functions precisely as promised. And I now feel much more comfortable leaving a loaded handgun in the car, knowing that I've taken the extra precaution against it being stolen and/or used by someone with harmful intent ...than I used to when I'd leave it hidden in a map pocket etc.

Also, I was surprised at the fast delivery...as my order arrived a couple of days sooner than expected (ps...thanks for that)."

I needed a certain size and type of safe, and I needed it quickly. I phoned a few retailers and one manufacturer, told them my requirements, and they all said “no way” – except Shannon at GunSafes. "One of the better sites that sells gun safes. The ability to narrow the search by 6+ different categories was a big plus. The fact that you carried multiple manufacturers was a big plus as well. The prices are competitive. No shipping fees is huge. I liked the multiple information tabs, including specifications.

Four ways to improve the site (i.e. I had to figure out the answers from other sources). (1) Include specifics on long guns that fit (or alternatively guns that will not fit) into the safe. Do this by listing the guns that will not fit. Or, include a picture of a trap shotgun, with an adjustable heel, standing up in the safe (with a true measurement of its length). Then post a picture of a rifle w/scope, next to two or three other guns. (2) Do I need a dehumidifier. I realize you're trying to sell dehumidifiers along with the safes. But offer charts on the amount of humidity inside the safe, based on varying amounts of humidity outside the safe. (3) Show, via schematics, how to attach the safe to the floor, with suggested bolt size, length and material. Off more detailed information on the material used to slow fire/heat from entering the safe. Is the safe protected by kevlar, or fire resistant wall board."

"Good price from Gunsafes, though, the additional cost of having it delivered to the “first dry spot” cost $290.00 more for “lift gate’ service took away from the value. Not much of “free delivery” since the driver told me it would have been set on the side of the road a quarter of a mile from my house if I would have not have paid the additional fee for the “lift gate” service. Not sure how the driver would have gotten the 800+ lb. safe out of the truck without one no matter what the location. It arrived quickly but the shipping "tracker" is not very helpful. The shipper was terrific and did an excellent job. When it arrived, it did not have the promised, and paid for, electric dehumidifier. Called and emailed with no response. After a few days called again and was told “this was a recurring problem and they would send one to me, sorry.” Because of the delay, I am not able to install my safe as planned. Sorry, I can’t give a much higher rating."
