"I placed and order for a pool cover, reel and some skimmer baskets. I was looking for some plastic clips as well but they were not listed on the site. After 2 weeks the cover and reel arrived. The reel was a lower end model than advertised and was defective to boot. The pool cover appeared ok but seemed a little thinner than I had expected.
I attempted to contact H2O Pool Products several times and finally received a response. The owner tried to tell me that his supplier had changed the model and that he could get a better model if I was interested. I asked him to find a more commercial model and request a pick up of the damaged item. He agreed.
Several days later he left a message saying he had a better model and quoted a price. I called and called, trying to order the upgraded model but the owner never returned the calls.
As for the skimmer baskets he stated that the initial order arrived to him damaged and that he would ship them ASAP with some of the plastic clips free of charge. I waited and waited but they never arrived. I sent several emails and left several messages without response.
Finally I purchased the baskets from a local pool store, disputed the credit card charges and sent more emails requesting a refund. After 4 months without a response the credit card company sides with this thief after he claims that he attempted to have the defective item picked up and that I refused to return it, which is a complete lie. I have since had a custom pool reel built by a local welder for $500 and have no use for a defective reel (which still sits in my garage awaiting pick-up).
UPDATE: In less than 6 months the pool cover has begun to disintegrate and will need to be replaced. Bottom line is that this company sells defective, cheap merchandise and/or never delivers the order in the first place and then ignores it's customers. STAY AWAY or you will be sorry."

I received the wrong product, ordered in July and I'm still to get my $$ or product (its Oct now, pool closed). I've tried phone, email and snail mail, there is no way to reliably communicate with this company. I cannot recommend"
"Ordered a Goldline Pro Logic PS-8 and the wireless receiver unit on Sunday evening. I was a little skeptical due to the bad reviews, but H20's price was the best I could find so I decided to take a chance. "Buying from H2O Pool Products was a great experience. Since I have read all of these reviews, I also felt obligated to write one for them myself. I almost did not buy from them because of the negative reviews, but I could get almost half off what other sites were charging. I purchased a Backwash valve that was over $50 cheaper from them, than anywhere else, and I had to pay California sales tax. I did everything online and they had the backwash valve delivered to me in 2 days. Which their website said 2-7 days. I would buy from them again and recommend them to anyone trying to save money on their pool equipment. We are often quick to complain but rarely stop to say something when things go well or better than expected. I am extremely pleased with the money I saved on my product. I could not be happier, and will definitely order from H2O Pool Products again. "
"This company is TERRIBLE! They take your money -- pronto -- then take their sweet time getting your stuff shipped. Took mine nearly two weeks to get to me. Two months later, one of the parts I ordered was defective. I attempted to email them. No response. Then I called and left a message. Still no response. So I shipped the defective product back to them with a note explaining the problem. That was two weeks ago. No response to that either. Now I'm out $25 with no recourse since it the charge was put on a debit card. The address they use is a PO Box. "I ordered a 1.0HP pool pump from H2O Pool Products because they beat other prices by about $30. When it got here I opened the box and the pump was 1.4HP pump. It was also not the corect type of pump. Not being an expert on the different types of pumps and the pump itself was not labeled I was unaware that it was the wrong type. But for HorsePower I knew I had the correct HP.
When I called and explained the discrepency they went ahead and exchanged it but not after blaming me for not knowing the difference in pump types. So inturn he charged me for shipping on all ends of the delivery. He stated he would not charge me a restocking fee however when I received my refund it was short the restocking fee.
All in all here is what additional charges I had to incur just to deal with this one company.
Original Shipping $ 43.29
Return Shipping $ 43.65
New Item Shipping $ 31.59
Restocking Fee $ 31.25
Total Fees $149.78
All of that on a pump that was only $120.00
When I called them the original time to exchange the first order mix up, I told him I didn't feel I should be responsible for all the shipping. I was thinking he might split the difference. No shot!
When I called again to inquire about my refund and why it was taking so long to refund my money I also gave it another shot to see if they'd be willing to split the difference. The gentleman would not be quite, and he rambled on, and on about how it was completely my fault and he was so unreasonable.
Finally here is an excerpt from my second invoice which shows that the restocking price was to be waived:

"**Follow-up to previous review. I did get my valve on Saturday. It worked like a charm and was exactly what I ordered. I still think next time I will order with someone that I know will ship the same day.**
I ordered a new backwash valve from this company, because they were the best price around. It was ordered on Monday and now Wed. evening it still shows pending. They processed the charge on Monday but didn't ship until I called them.
I sent 2 emails to them that they didn't answer, and when I called, I had to call for over an hour as there is no 2nd line to this place so it's always busy.
If I had read these reviews before, I would have paid extra somewhere else to have the part shipped the same day my money is taken.
I don't have the part in hand yet so I'm still not confident.
When a pool part is leaking, waiting a couple of days to ship a part is unacceptable!
Never again from these guys!!! I would be happy if they refunded my shipping costs... "

"I liked the prices on H2O Pool Product's website but was disappointed when I checked the ratings here. I nevertheless took a chance and called the company to place my order. The person on the phone was very courteous, took my order, and promised my products would be delivered on time. Within 2 minutes of hanging up the phone I received an e-mail confirming my order. About 20 minutes later, I received another e-mail with a tracking number and letting me know my order had shipped. I got it the next day and I did not even pay extra for shipping! Wow!
We are often quick to complain but rarely stop to say something when things go well or better than expected. I am extremely pleased with how this company handled my order and even more pleased with the money I saved on my products. I could not be happier and will definitely order again. Despite the reviews here, give this company a chance. I think you will pleased with results.

I followed in detail their instructions to select the appropriate motor for my pump. The motor showed up a week later, not too bad, but it didn't fit - it was the wrong motor!
I called and emailed. Their website says don't call, we won't answer (boy, that's the truth). They want you to email, but won't respond.

I ordered on the 13th. I noticed that order sat in a pending state for more than 3 days. I canceled on the 15th through their special ****@**** email. I called multiple times with no answer. I never received a response on this order. Then I get an email that item has shipped on the 21st which is more than 8 days later from the original order. I received the order today. I'm glad I used a secure online generated credit card number... I could see this place harvesting numbers.
I have considered not even dealing with this company and selling the item on eBay or locally."

Placed order on 3/10/09, requested updates on 2 separate occasions after order showed "pending" and never changed.
Finally got an update today from them, stating they only had access to "full sets" of the item I was ordering (Litesounds lighted speaker landscape lighting 2-pack) and they canceled my order.
Strangely enough it still shows the item on their site, and at the same price (approximately half of elsewhere).
9 days to get an update that they can't sell me what is advertised on their site?? If it weren't for the fact that others supposedly have received orders, I'd suspect them of just harvesting credit card numbers.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS, don't waste your time with them."
"I am having a similiar issue to the previous reviewer.
I ordered 1 product on 10/6 and the order is still marked as 'pending'. I have tried on 3 occasions to reach them via their preferred method of communication email and no response. The phone number goes no where. You cannot even leave a message.
The order has not hit my account yet but it doesn't leave me very comfortable feeling when a company takes a credit card order and then does nothing and fails to respond.
My advice is to shop elsewhere.
