"While the insurance for pre-existing conditions is excellent, reimbursement is 100% for people who live in New York State, the people who answer the phones have not been trained well. Each time I called, a person told me something different. Each person thought they knew how to apply for reimbursement. To finally get reimbursed, I needed to speak to many different people about what documents the insurance company needed and each time it was something more. It's unfortunate that the customer needs to spend so much time calling, waiting, and each time only receiving partial information. "

"We have bought many travel insurance policies from them over the years. We only had to use a policy once for a few hundred dollar claim, and they reimbursed us promptly. We bought a travel policy in 2019 for a 79 day cruise in 2020. The cruise was canceled because of the pandemic and they allowed us to use it for a 41 day cruise in August 2022. The cruise line was leasing the ship to the city of Rotterdam as temporary housing for Ukrainian refugees before our cruise. The Dutch asked the company to extend the lease which they did, and they canceled our cruise. HTH went above and beyond and refunded our money.
