The uppers and lowers are plastic where is the leather? Regardless as a former shoe store manager, trust me, I can tell the difference these are PLASTIC. "Until this month I had been a happy 30 year customer of Haband. I do have to say their delivery time and quality has declined in the past couple years. Today I cancelled my last order and will never do business with them again. I placed a sizable order on May 9. Apparently there was an error in my entry of charge card info but they never wrote or called. Wondering where my order was, I wrote them a week ago by email and no one answered. I wrote yesterday and was told today for the first time that the order, now 11 days old, was on hold. I told them that if they would do a free upgrade to a speedier delivery due to their failure to contact me, I'd stay their customer, but if they refused I wanted to be removed from their mailing list. A rather curt customer service worker said she'd run that by her supervisor and after being on hold I was told they would not do that without charging even though I responded to a free shipping offer. I reminded her that she would lose a 30 year customer and she said fine and I asked to be removed from their email and paper mailing lists. The customer service at Haband has gone from very good to a complete failure in a couple years. Stay away from these folks. They've lost me forever. A company that is fine with me taking a hike deserves to lose all its customers. Their quality has already been going down - items I bought last year are falling apart. Their prices are inching up. And they have the rudest least responsive customer service around. I'd give them a zero on a scale on one to ten."
"April 2010: Ordered three pairs of pants, and one was clearly wrong size (two errors: pants too long and waist too small!). Had to pay $7.50 to return $12 item because of Haband mistake. I have been a loyal customer for not just years but decades. In the unlikely event that I get the postage refund, I might buy from Haband again, but I am not counting on seeing that refund, and am worried about ever getting my replacement pants, too. "
"I ordered 2 king size and 2 queen size blankets from Haband and received 1 twin blanket and 2 full size bedspreads instead because "it is our policy to aim for 100% fulfillment of every order, exactly as ordered." So "rather than disappoint you with a refund, we have taken the liberty of sending you something subtantially similar..." I don't know why they thing that a twin blanket and 2 full size bedspreads would be anywhere near similar to king and queen size. I would much rather have been "disappointed" getting my money back instead of a box full of junk that I had to return to them in order to get my money back. They say they pay for postage, but they barely covered half of the postage that it cost me to return their unwanted stuff."
"I have dealt with Haband for years and have never experienced a problem with the quality of their products or their service. I have found their pricing to be excellent and very much in line with the quality of their merchandise. The one time I had a glitch with an order, I found their customer service (both on line and via phone call) responsive and customer oriented. While their merchandise may not make it into the high end stores, it is definately worth the purchase price."
"I purchased a sheet set from Haband and they are the thinest cheapest sheets (you could actually see through them) I've ever seen. It's not worth returning them as they charge $9 shipping on returns. Not sure what I'll do with them - probable get more value from donating them to a charity. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.
Also I tried to call Customer Service twice to complain and was on hold for 5 min. each time before I got a msg. that no one was available to take the call and to call again later. Silly me for not checking out reviews online before purchasing - I read review on everything usually. "
"I WISH I had read these reviews before I decided to purchase from their catalog. I ordered by mail and sent my ck the first week in November. By 12/15, the ck still had not cleared and I hadn't received my order. I contacted them telling them I would put a stop payment on the ck if they did not have it. They claimed they shipped my order on 12/1 (I HIGHLY doubt that!) and that it was on it's way. I noticed they immediately cashed my check on 12/16. It is now 1/19, and I have NOT received any merchandise from these people. They should NOT be in business. I wish I had used a credit card because then I could, at least dispute the charge. Family business, ha. Don't fall for it."
"The one time I didn't check this site, I got burned. I ordered two pair of pants from Haband online. After not hearing anything for a while I e-mailed them and was told one item was on backorder. Three weeks later my order arrived. One pair of pants was the wrong size (the package was marked correctly but contained the wrong size). I called and was told they could talk to me about placing an order but I would have to contact customer service about my problem. I tried the customer service number several times on different days and different times and always got the message saying they are busy and can't take my call. I e-mailed customer service and have gotten no reply. They have no customer service and they don't want to hear about any problems. I have a choice of paying for the return (which is their mistake) or keeping an item I can't use. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY -- THEY ARE CROOKS!!!!!"
"Sure wish I had checked all of the reviews before ordering from Haband. Hands down, they are the WORST company I have ever dealt with unlike their claim of being a conscientious family business.
I ordered a shirt on Nov. 24 -- I needed it by Dec. 4th. I made the mistake of ordering by phone. I asked for expedited shipping -- the order rep kept telling me that for $2 I could have shipping insurance -- not what I wanted or asked for. I even put the it to her like this, "I need the shipping option that will deliver this package to me by Dec. 4th." She said "well, let's place the order and then see what the shipping is." Then, after placing the order, she said "OOps, can't change the order now - you'll have to call customer service." Then she quickly got off the phone without giving me an order confirmation number. I called customer service and as all of you know, you can't talk to a live person -- it only gives the message that due to a high volume of calls, they are currently not accepting any calls, then click, you are disconnected. So, I immediately e-mailed them. Conveniently, they did not respond to my e-mail until after 3 days. I also did go online and order the shirt and selected the expedited shipping option. I did receive the shirt on Dec. 4th. So, what I wanted to do was cancel the first order. Customer Service should have repsonded withing the proper time frame and cancelled my order. The lame e-mail response I got was that they were training more customer service representatives and they were sorry for any inconvenience. I sent them another e-mail that said I expected to be able to return the item and have my shipping refunded both ways -- that would go a longer way to regain my trust than a trite apology. After another couple days, another e-mail from Haband stating that I could return the item if I wished -- no mention of being credited for shipping. Sent another e-mail -- 2 days no response. Got fed up -- called customer service number, click , disconnected because of their supposedly large call volume (I question whether they even have a phone support customer service department.) Called the order line -- told the order rep who answered that I wnated either a corporate number I could call or to speak to her supervisor. She put her supervisor on -- he apologized for my inconveniencea and said it was due to high holiday volume. He did give me a long-distance number to call. The person did answer the phone promptly and instructed me as to how to return the shirt with no charge to me and claimed that I will be refunded the price of the shirt and the original shipping as well. After finding this site, wel, we'll see.
Overall, I was NOT impressed with Haband and I will NEVER order from them again. They really do not value their customers at all. Conscientious family business should be changed to unconscionable, uncaring family business. Very poor!"
"Haband is quite likely the worst company I have ever dealt with. I haven't even received the merchandise I ordered (shoes) yet, but I am already disgusted with the company.
I have sent them 4 emails over the last 4 days + and have heard nothing. I tried to call them but they are not even accepting calls due to "such high call volume." I now suspect that most, if not all, of the calls are complaints about bad service.
When I placed my order online, I was informed that the item was in stock. After waiting five days, I called to inquire as to why the order had not yet shipped. I was told that orders typically take 6-8 days to get to the warehouse. Are you kidding me? If the item is IN STOCK then doesn't that mean that it is already in the warehouse? Apparently not. Well, then it takes 2-3 days for the order to be shipped from the warehouse. Since I had selected "standard" shipping, which means U.S. mail, it would likely be five or more days before it arrived. That is approximately 3 weeks to receive an item that was in stock and being shipped within the United States.
I am now convinced that should the shoes turn out to be a bad choice for any reason, then I am going to simply eat the cost. There is no way I am going to try to deal with this inept company for a return and refund.
The ratings I find here on Reseller Ratings dot com are all bad. Though it is unlikely it will make any difference, I am adding my comments as well."
"WOW! Never have I seen a company policy that makes the customer pay for the mistakes made by their employees. They sent me the wrong size trousers (at least 2 sizes too small) and expect me to pay 7.99 shipping to send them back in exchange for the correct size (assuming that they will send the right size the second time). Plus I'll have to pay for the shipping for the replacements. If they again send the wrong size this could go on and on and on and on and on.................... NEEDLESS TO SAY I WON'T BE THROWING GOOD MONEY AFTER BAD AND HABAND WILL NEVER HEAR FROM ME AGAIN AND INCLUDING ANYONE THAT I CAN TELL ABOUT THEIR TERRIBLE SERVICE."

All of the ordered products were trash. The Silversonic a sound amplifier at a cost of $29.95 is a piece of junk. The back supports would not support anyone's back. Another piece of junk. The air purifier might purify the air in a 4 inch square box but not a standard room. Last but not least the free gift was a 1,000,000 dollar bill, a real joke. As a result of this disastrous purchase I will never order from Haband again. the company's quality on a scale of 1 to 5 is zero."
"Ordered via the web and when conformation cam in email I noticed an error in size on pants. Called immediatly (witing 10 minutes of web order). Was told by Customer Service that they do not have access to process for 24 hours and to call back tomorrow morning and the order cold be corrected or shipment stopped. Called this AM, 24 hours after placing order and they say that it is already processed for shipping and can do nothing about it. Now I will have to send items back and only hope to get them replaced.
This is just not appropriate after being told to call in 24 hours. "

"Stay away from this company. While the products are usually ok, the customer service offered is terrible. I ordered two sets of sheets that were to come with free blankets but no blankets were shipped. When I called regarding the missing blankets, I was promised they would be shipped within two weeks. When I called again, I was told that no one had even accessed my account and that no blankets were sent. After a go around with a "supervisor" who could not correctly pronounce my last name, I decided that this company was not worth receiving any more business from me. Needless to say, I was overcharged for two sets of sheets and will never see my "free" blankets. "
