"Actually, the point is that I did NOT place this order. I am not sure which date the unknown person ordered the goods, but they were charged to my credit card in early January.
Haband sent me an order meant for someone else. I paid to send it back. Even though my name and address and the name and address of the person they said ordered it did not match, it took several emails before their customer service would even entertain the thought that they might have made a mistake. They charged this wrong order to my credit card (I have done business with them before without a problem), but dismissed that promptly as impossibe without offering to look into it. Only when they learned that my credit card company was about to contact them, and the package they had said I did not receive arrived back at Haband with my letter inside it, did they offer to remove MOST of the charge from my credit card. However, they were not going to refund the shipping charges they spent sending someone else's things to me, so I had to contact them again about that. That has now been done, but they have not yet mentioned reimbursing me the $11 I spent out of my own pocket to send the mis-directed package back to them, even though I have mentioned this expense to them more than once. This has been a very frustrating experience, and I will NOT be ordering from Haband again for fear that they will make a mistake with an order I really did place. I am considering getting a new credit card number so they can't use me to pay for another customer's order again. I'll definitely have to if they pull this stunt again.
Before you make your decision whether to buy from Haband, do two things:
1. Type "Haband" and "review" in your search engine's
browser/search box.
2. Visit the online BBB site for New Jersey, their home
state.
UPDATE: Today (2-3) Haband emailed me that if I want any
money to replace what I sent returning their
package, I will have to provide proof of what it
cost. The package was quite heavy, plus I definitely
wanted proof of receipt, but $11 apparently seems
too high to them. Apparently they think the post
office delivers for free, as they did not even offer
to send me what THEY felt it should have cost.
After I proved to them that they created this entire
fiasco entirely on their own and I sent, at my own
expense, their goods back to them in good faith,
they either feel that I am too goofy to know what
my own postage was, or that I would be less than
honest with them about the amount.

"Although their (Haband) merchandise is average to below average, prices are reasonable but their customer service method of phone access is terrible. You can't get anywhere without calling a number that costs you $$$. And repeted attemps to get service via e-mail didn't happen... Stay clear of this company for your needs."
"I ordered 17 different items from this company on 1/13/2005. None of the items were listed as out of stock on their website. I paid extra for Fed-Ex shipping (2-4 business days).
Seven of the 17 items were shipped on 1/17/2005. The full amount of the order for all 17 items was charged to my credit card on 1/17/2005 even though 10 items were not shipped.
On about 1/21 I received seven items, one of which was defective. I called Haband for instructions on how to return the defective item (I have to pay return shipping but can request a refund). I also asked about the remaining items and was told all of them were in stock in their warehouse.
As of 2/2/2005 they still haven't shipped them and their website also shows 8 of the ten remaining items in stock and two items backordered. Why did I pay extra for faster delivery?
Also, the credit card company policy (for merchants) states they shouldn't charge for items until they are shipped!"
"re:HABAND
I've been a customer for a couple of years. I placed an order on the 8th of Dec.(just under $200) It got here on the 22nd, at least part of it did (I'm still waiting for the rest). A shirt was damaged and they said to send it back. I will.
On the 21st I tried to place another order(over $100) via the web because they offered men's slacks WITHOUT the extra Big Man's added charge (have you ever gotten a discount because you ordered the Small size? They save a lot of material from the Small to the XL which is the same list price. From XL to 2XL can't be that much more material.)
I entered my order on-line. When I tried to change it, I could not. I left it unpaid until morning when I could talk to a human. Big problem, the phone humans couldn't reference the computered items or details. They said, "e-mail the web people, they'll straighten it out." Male Bovine Byproduct! Four e-mails remain unanswered. I could not even reach anyone at their corporate offices. Their communication system STINKS. And nobody (but one) I talked to even gave a d**n whether I got the order straight or not of even if I ever ordered again. I tried to call their corporate offices -- at my expense-- a computer answered and said it would transfer me. I waited 8 minutes -- nothing! I am so mad I will probably never order from them again. "
"I have ordered from Haband for quite some time now. They do have nice products at reasonable prices.
The only complaint I have with the company is the very, very slow order processing. With todays technology, it shouldn't take at least 2 weeks to process and ship an order. Add another week or so from the time it's mailed until it arrives, you receive your order in about a month. Sometimes the items ordered is so late it can't be used until the next season.

"Haband sent me a different pair of slacks than I ordered (different style/different color). When I returned the pair of slacks for an exchange, they charged my credit card an additional $7.50. They never returned my email which questioned them about this additional charge. Thru a phone call I learned that the $7.50 additional charge was because the pair of slacks that I order was unavailable and they were sending me (without bothering to notify me) a more expensive pair of slacks as a replacement. I requested that the exchange be canceled and my money be refunded. Finally the supervisor agreed to refund $17.50 ($7.50 for the additional credit card charge + $10.00 for the actual pair of slacks that I returned). It has been almost ONE WEEK now and that $17.50 refund still has NOT been credited to my credit card. I've dealt with Haband for many years, but as a result of this experience I will think twice before placing my next order with them. Buyer beware!"
