"Should have looked here first, VERY BAD STORE! Shady practices.
I ordered an avic-d2 indicated as IN STOCK, I called the following morning to confirm stock and price and order and shipping. During the call I was asked to buy “their” bs “warranty” for what amounted to ¼ the cost of the product and was told that there is NO WARRANTY from the manufacturer as they were NOT AUTHORIZED to sell the product, I instructed them to see that the product gets to me in new / working condition and we will not have any problems. They said fine. Moments later I received an email stating item not in stock and wanting to cancel my order. This was obviously done because I had NOT purchased their “BOGUS” warranty. Fortunately, the credit car I used, they are the ONLY ones with the number/information, so if it turns up stolen it is very clear they had something to do with it. They informed me that the item had gone out of stock a week ago, and also told me that it takes 24 hours for their computers to change stock levels, I of course asked them how there math was since a week is far more then 24 hours. They could not explain other then to say its not in stock now. I asked if I bought the warranty would it be in stock. They said no, since they knew I would not buy the warranty anyways. So, STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS, YOU WILL GET BURNED, YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR MONEY.

"Ordered the Nikon D50 kit from Harmony. Only problem I ran into was that they verify phone numbers against physical street address and I provided my cell number. They wouldn't ship it out until I called back in to give them my home number. While I feel it's overkill, there's a small comfort knowing they care about security.
The order was shipped late due to this, but they got it out quickly along with the accessories that I ordered. Everything arrived in excellent condition and I couldn't be happier with my order. Will definitely think about them for future purchases."

Sunday May 1 - Ordered a Canon digital camera off their website that was indicated as being IN STOCK.
Tuesday May 3 - I received an email stating there would be a 10 day backorder delay. I called and spoke to a gentleman, and requested that my order be canceled, as I did not want to wait 10 days for an item their website said was in stock. He told me on the phone that he had canceled the order.
Wednesday May 4 - My bank account was charged $259.00 by Harmony for an item they did not have in stock, and for an order that I canceled.
Sunday May 15 - After 2 emails, the $259 was finally refunded to my bank account.
Charging for an item that you don't have in stock, unless under the pretense of a "pre-order" which this was not, is straight up wrong. Then to take nearly 2 weeks to refund the money from an order that had been canceled immediately after getting a back order notice, is not the kind of customer service that I will ever choose to do business with again.
Fellow consumers, stay away from Harmony."
"Ordered a camera over the phone on 5/2/05 to be delivered by 5/6/05. Leon, the salesman at ext.218 said it was in stock, so I ordered it for my wife's birthday. My wifes birthday is today 5/9/05. They still haven't shipped it. It wasn't in stock when I ordered it. They lied to me over the phone. Every time I call they say it's going to ship tomorrow. The latest claim is that I'll have it by 5/11/05. We'll see. Don't order from here, they aren't professional. They're not worth all of the effort it will take to get them to keep their end of the bargain. Nina in customer support is trying to help me, but her hands appear tied by a company that doesn't really have it's act together. And yes, it's true what you've read in other reviews, the sales people are rude. That is something that can be overlooked if they are good at their jobs, but that is not the case here."
"I ordered a Nikon camera priced way below other online stores. Harmony had more orders for the camera than they were expecting but still managed to get my camera to me on time. Harmony advised it might be two days late but it did arrive on time thanks in part to excellent fedex service. The camera was delivered from New York to Sacramento in less than 24 hours. I am very happy with the way Harmony Computers does business."
"I was wary of buying from them because of the reviews, but I figured 9x12 Intuos3 Tablets are too expensive for people to have exhausted their stock of them. The price at Shop Harmony was really cheap! 380 bucks: about 70 bucks off of comparable prices. I ordered the tablet on Tuesday, the 26th. By Thursday, I was informed by email that my check card was rejected. It was my own fault because I had the wrong address on it. When I called customer support on Friday after changing my address, they promtly confirmed my card, and shipped the order. Also, the price had gone up 5 dollars since I had ordered and I asked if I would be charged the additional 5. She said, "Nope, you ordered it at that price, and we will not charge you extra."
When I look at the shipping, to my great surprise, the order had been upgraded from ground to 2-day free of charge! I received my package on Monday the 2nd, probably about when it would have arrived with regular ground had I not had the wrong address on my check card.
That is good business! No negative experience here."
"AVOID this company! I attempted to purchase a rather expensive video editing card from them because they had the lowest advertised price. They sent me an email almost a week later saying they couldn't ship it to me because there was no published phone number for my address. I explained my home number was unlisted and I provided my cell number where I can be reached anytime. They still wouldn't ship it. I've never heard of this before with any company. I guess they don't value privacy concern of those who decide to have unlisted numbers. I cancelled the order and went straight to the B&H website. The video card will be here in 3 days. You get what you pay for - Lousy service and fishy policies. I'm betting Harmony just didn't have my item in stock and they were stalling. AVOID! "

"I ordered an electronic flash on April 1,2005. I checked there site and recieved an order in progress message. On April 6 when the ordered still hadn't been shipped I telephoned Harmony and was told the item was out of stock and not expected to be in stock for another week. Even though the web site indicated that the item was in stock, which was incorrect, they never bothered to email me this information. I cancelled the order. "
"This is my second or third purchase (can't remember) from Harmony, and once again I am very happy. This time I ordered an Archos AV480 personal video recorder/player. They seem to have slightly cheaper prices, however the main advantage to me is the shipping of items to Canada. Too many of the online sellers use UPS and Canadian customers have a nasty surprise waiting for them when the item is delivered in the way of outrageous "brokerage and handling fees". Harmony has been using FedEx with quick delivery (3 days this time) and minimal extra fees. "
"I have ordered a camera from harmony since they had free shipping. I didn't hear anything from them after a week, no email, no call, nothing, and my order was not arriving. After repeated emails from my side they sent me an email saying that they cannot ship to hotel addresses (which is ok I guess), but I received that 7 days after I placed the order. They claimed they sent me an email before, but I received nothing.
After my second reply to ship the camera to my home address, no reply, no change in order status again. After two days I wrote them and told them to cancel the order.

"I orderd a JVC KD-DV5100 DVD thru this website as they were the cheapest....(but I didnt know that these ppl are cheapest by character also)..received a broken player then they asked me to contact JVC for that item...JVC asked me to contact these ppl again...after long battle they gave me RMA # and promised me to reimburse me for shipping cost. Now it took 1 and half week to update their system for my returned item to show up and refused me to pay my shiiping cost.
