"Don’t waste you time with Harmony, and don’t believe what they tell you about getting an item in. I went to order a digital camera that their website said would ship in a week. I wondered if the week would turn into 2, etc. I called them to make sure they would be getting it in as the camera had a rebate and the rebate was only good for another 3 weeks. They told me that it would be in next week. I waited a week and called back. I was told that it would be in definitely that week. I thought that I would give it another week. After waiting until the end of the week, I got an email telling me that there was a mistake in their inventory and it is currently on backorder and should be back in stock within 15 days. Well, that puts it past the rebate, so I will cancel the order. I haven’t been able to understand what a mistake in their inventory has to do with getting the camera in. Their inventory was zero so how could a mistake in that determine the availability of the camera? Shop elsewhere."
"I am always cautious when it comes to ordering photographic equipment from brooklyn, since there are so many bad posts about "boiler room camera shops". I called Harmony, the rep said camera is new, qualifies for $100 rebate, and comes with all manufacturer's accessories. I was not asked for my name and credit card, when I called them (First good sign). Still hesitating, I went ahead and ordered Nikon Coolpix 8800 from Harmony through their website. I never received any calls to upsell me for other junk like some store do (Second good sign). The order was placed on Feb. 23rd, Wednesday, the camera was shipped out on Monday (on 3rd business day). Tracking # was automatically sent to me via email the same day it was shipped out. Camera arrived today, 1 day earlier than the scheduled delivery, exacly one week since I placed online order. The camera arrived as advertised with all manufacturer'r included accessories, although I didn't expect a retail box (which it came in) . The price was $759 shipped, but comes with a $100 rebate, effectively making my purchase $659. I like timely shipping, but with that aside, this was a positive experience. If I have to buy anything out of brooklyn, I would definitely go with harmony."
"harmony refused to ship to my rural delivery address and flatly refused to call my credit card company and verify that the billing and shipping addresses were the same. Worthless waste of time."

Package lost between Fedex and Harmony. Was told it will take 1-8 business days to resolve issue. Harmony would not cancel my order or reship. Fedex shows package never in their system. Problem seems to be between Fedex and Harmony. Harmony does not think its much of a problem to be waiting on product up to possibily 3 weeks after paying. Total of order $239.00.
The reason for this review is that I go by these when buying online, and until now I've never had a problem. Sure things get lost or misplaced but its how a company handles those issues are what makes a good company, from a bad company. It's easy to be cheaper. Once this is resolved I will post my final rating.
Finally, after contacting BBB and several online retail ratings providers, and mu Credit card company. I was issued a refund, still claiming that Fedex (stole) the item. So, unpon review I thought I was making a purchase and really I made a no interest loan. Many more stories like mind if you research. They give the internet(s) as our president would say, a bad name. Bottom line avoid a all costs."
"Price unbeatable. Communication, not so good. I'd requested that they contact me in a letter with the MO I sent them and they never did. Besides that, everything's fine."
"I was hesitant at first to order a laptop form them. But, after a horrible experience with Buymicro, I went ahead and ordered from Harmony.
On the positive. The product arrived new, exactly as advertised, within a reasonable amount of time (standard 5 day delivery). I will probably order from them again. Company communicated with me any time I had a question and were always courteous.
Only negative I can think of is that it took them two days to ship the product. However, this is bearable. "
"They may have the lowest price, but there customer service is lousy. I ordered the Panasonic GS200 on July 10th, website said in stock to ship in 3 days. I called on the 19th after hearing nothing from them and I am told it is on back order from Panasonic and won't ship til the end of the week. If I hadn't called, I wouldn't even know that. There order status page still says it will ship in three days."
"Everything as advertized; Free Shipping (7day ground), Brand New Item. The only thing that concerned me was that there was no extra packaging in the box to prevent movement. Lucky for me the retail box was a little to big for their packaging box and was stuck in one spot. Tracking went up the next day of ordering and received product exactly 7 days of purchasing."

"Ordered a Lite-On LVW-5005 DVD standalone video recorder. I paid $25 for shipping for FedEx 3 day and it got to me quickly. However, it was shipped in its store box. No double box as the manufacturer recommends (and I did contact them). The unit arrived defective. It worked, but scratched my DVDs and rendered them unplayable in a short time. Harmony has given me a RMA and said that they will give me a refund. We will see. I'll update this after they get their delivery of the return.
I've ordered the unit now from NewEgg (they were out of stock the day I ordered from Harmony). I know that THEY have a packing department. So I'm out at least my shipping.. $50 round trip. I'm not a happy camper. I hope that this matter will be resolved without any more hassels."
"Overall a very good experience. Product shipped the day I ordered and arrived promptly. I even called the day I ordered it to change my shipping (from 2-day to 3-day air) and it wasn't any problem. The only catch is that my tracking number was never given to me on the website, and they couldn't give it to me when I called in either, which worried me. But apparently it was some system error, and they personally called me 2 days later to give me the tracking number (just before the package arrived actually). Overall I'm quite satisifed with Harmony."
"Awesome store! I was a little hesitant because of a couple bad reviews detailing unsatisfaction with packaging. Although it didn't look like they were playing cricket with my stuff, it's true that the camera box wasn't insulated inside a bigger box. But everything worked out fine since Canon packaged their product well enough. The price is right and the shipping was ultra fast and free."
"I was skeptical after reading some of the experiences here, to buy a $1000 item from Harmony. I had a good experience about 1.5 years ago on a smaller purchase from them so I went for it. Everything was as advertised, USA product, free shipping, reasonably helpful customer service. Don't get me wrong, there was some stress, mostly caused by what I read here, they never gave me any reason to stress. The one bad thing is their website order tracking must not update very often as it still showed "in process" after the scanner was delivered.
When I order something next time I will likely do it by phone. When I initially contacted them about availability it was suggested that I might get better service that way. I don't like to do that in case of a miscommunication of address or other data. There may be commissions involved for the sales people so maybe its better to establish a repore with your sales person. They do seem very busy, I can see why with these prices.

I received an email that the camera was in back order of 1 week. After my final call on April 26 where I received the usual answer: will ship in 1-2 weeks, I decided to cancel the order.
I'll never ship again at this store!"
