"It’s non of your business.... the attitude at Harmony computers!

I recently placed an order for a Matrox Parhelia graphics card for $329, they really screwed up big time and after 10 weeks I only just managed to get my $329 back but I was left with $40 of bank charges and the cost of numerous long distance and International telephone charges, and not a single word of apology.

I live in the UK and each year I use my skiing vacation in the States as the opportunity of acquiring hard to find computer kit at US prices. Before I left UK I phoned Mr. Leon Gold in the sales dept. explained the situation and was told that they were happy to accept the order and I was given their bank details so I could wire the money to them. As well as the phone call I confirmed this by emails and notified them that the money was transferred and the address in USA for delivery (this is 2 weeks before I left for USA).

A week into my stay in USA I called Harmony to find out where my order had got to. I was told that they had not received confirmation from their bank that they had received the money. After several further phone calls and being told the same thing, I had to call international back to my bank in UK who then called Harmony’s banker in NewYork and confirmed that the money has been sitting in their account for 3 weeks !!!!

Needless to say Harmony made no attempt to deliver the goods as ordered, but I received a short abrupt email from Leon Gold that they would refund my money.

6 weeks later, and back in UK, I still had not received a refund. This time when I called Leon Gold to complain about the way this order had been handled and find out what had happened to the refund, he did not want to know and when I enquired what his position in the company was and the name of the proprietor so I could complain to him, I was told “ It is none of your business…..”

A real sign of a person who takes responsibility??!

When I did finally receive a refund, they did not even have the courtesy of paying their own bank charges, so this whole episode left me with bank charges of almost $40, expense of endless International calls and not even a single word of apology from Harmony for having failed to process the order.

So, you may want to “Make it YOUR business” to find out what sort of firm you are dealing with before you buy from Harmony………..

"I was a little skeptical about ordering a Canon G3 camera... At the time of my writing this review the sale price for the camera was $699.00 at national retailers like Best Buy and Circuit City. Harmony Computers was advertising a price of $569.00 - DELIVERED!!!

I searched pricewatch.com, and looked on Ebay - The best price on Ebay was close - but those retailers were asking 30 Bucks for delivery on top of the $569.00. After a week of looking at retailer reviews, looking online at retailers and looking at retail stores in my area, I decided I try Harmony...

I ordered on 4/9/03 and was told that my camera would arrive in 5-7 days. I waited 2 days for a confirmation email - didn't get one so I called the 800# for customer service and they gave me one. My camera arrived new via 2 day FedEx on the 7th day.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this experience. The communication regarding the confirmation number left a little to be desired but the item arrived as described in the time frame that I was told it would.

"I was very nervous about selecting a vendor to purchase an Olympus C-5050 camera from. I have read so many reviews of retailers making nightmares out of the purchases.

But my experience with Harmony Computers was excellent. I called their 800 number, placed the order for over night delivery. I was asked if I was interested in any accessories (I thought, here it comes) and when I said no, not at this time, that was it.

The camera came the very next day. It is exactly the same camera and box that you would get if you were to go to your local camera store and pay an additional $250.

I will definitely do business with them again and thank you ResellerRatings.com

"I looked for over a week to find a good price on a Palm m130 and they had one of the lowest prices. I placed my order online on Wed. night, they called me on Thursday to confirm my shipping address( becasue it was different from my billing address). Friday I recieved an tracking for my package and I recieved it Tuesday morning. i will definetly order from this company again. I recommend it to others. i had the perfect online shopping experience. "I ordered the Olympus C 5050 digital camera because they had free shipping and with the prices I could find, Harmony was competitive when you factored in the free shipping. My husband also ordered a digital video converter mainly because Harmony is one of the few sites that offered the model that is recommended. We were told the converter was on back order but the camera would be shipped so we were shocked when both items arrived on Thursday (we ordered on a Sunday night)! Supurb service, no high pressure sales at ALL, we got just what we wanted and I would definitely buy here again and I would recommend them to anyone."

I received exactly the camera I expected will all accessories, it shipped exactly when they said it would and they charged me exactly the price they said they would. "I was very dis-pleased with Harmony's service. I ordered the camera and the next day got an email saying it was backordered. I was given a date as to when it would be shipped. I then called that day to see if it had been shipped and they put me off another week. I have cancelled my order today because of anger. I have ordered with B&H Photo-Video and have very high hopes from the company because my friend highly recommended them. Also, they have suddenly and mysteriously disappeared from PriceGrabber.com altogether."

"I ordered a Olympus Camedia C-730 on Sunday, December 8. I was told that order would be shipped after 2 business days. I had asked for ground shipping since it was available at no charge. My order was shipped on Wednesday as promised. I had to call in to get my tracking no. The company shipped it Fedex 2 days without any charge to me. I am very pleased with this company even though the price is on the higher side. The communication was very good as well as extremely fast shipping."
