"The website and order process were great. Statuses were frequent and our orders, two desks (one white, one red, identical otherwise) arrived even sooner than anticipated - big bonus points. I conducted a quick inspection upon arrival and all appeared as expected. I read a few posts (during the order process) that commented about damaged desks, etc. so I was a little extra cautious. I felt good at that point and was ready to wait until Christmas to fully unpack and put them together, as they were both gifts for our kids from Santa.
Late Christmas Eve, after the kids were in bed, my father-in-law and I began the process of putting both desks together. Upon full unpacking we noticed damaged spots on the white desk. From there we unpacked the red desk and found damage (not identical) as well. It has to do with packaging, quality of the product and, likely, shipping processes.
Needless to say, I was very disappointed that Santa gifts for my kiddos were not as I'd hoped. We managed with some wood glue an engineering on our end to get the desk together in a way that did not make the defects as noticeable.
Returning them wasn't an ideal option given the nature of the gifts. However, it definitely leaves some disappointment that will certainly be back of mind if I choose to order from the site/company again. Product quality is critical this day and age. While the web and mailing experience was awesome, inferior product arrival kills the satisfaction every time.
