But:
This seller uses UPS who charged me 80% of the value of the item as "import taxes brokerage fee" even though there were no import taxes (meaning all this money was just stolen by UPS), and this was not mentioned anywhere.
I sent 2 messages to the website without any response from them (no apologies, no discount offered , ...).

I strongly suggest this seller to switch to USPS for any international order (especially canada) who charges less tan 10$ for any packet, but no response yet.
EDIT:
The customs charge 0$, it's just UPS who charges a fee to pass the customs. The money goes to UPS Brokerage, not to the Canadian government.
USPS Charges 5$ instead of 38$ for the same service.
that's why I strongly suggest that you switch to USPS for Canadian orders.
I don't have anything against you, you offer good prices and fast shipping. It's UPS that I have a problem with....

"I have ordered a speaker and it took longer than I was told. So when calling to check on the status of my order, I found out that this company is the hardest to get a hold of and getthem to actually answer the phone!!! What company is not able to answer the phone AND doesn't call back when a message is left!?!? In finally getting a hold of someone I learned that my speaker that I ordered on may 13,2010 had not even arrived to HiFi yet! So, in much frustration I just asked for a cancellation of my order. I was quickly told, "yes, sir we will do that for you and it should be credited to your accoun in approx. 3 business days. Well, today is June 2,2010 and it is NOT cleared my account as of today!!! Also, i've called multiple times to check the status of my cancellation and I've only gotten BEN to answer & as soon as I told him my order number he hung up on me so therefore, I didn't get anything accomplished! Today - June 2,2010, I have called ALL day and never got an answer!!!! I then went to my bank to Start a clAim with Hifi to see if they can help with getting my credit back into my account as I was told I would recieve almost 2 weeks ago!! I would NEVER recommend HiFi to anyone!!!! "

I am sorry you had a problem with customs. You have to understand we have 0 control over customs and duties that Canada charges. We shipped your item within hours of your order and you seem to be happy with it just not UPS and Customs.
We can not pay this charge for you as you suggest as we already sell out products at rock bottom prices. In the future we can get you a quote for USPS if you specify this but we can not mark the item gift ect or break any laws.
