You can't do that. Can't add meat to fruit. Its not meat, it's cheese. Still can't do it. Sigh. Ok. Just send the fruit. Make sure a deceased individual is removed from your addressee records. Thanks. Goodbye. Guess what? Shipping charges almost doubled the cost of the order ($45 to just over $80). And the name of the addressee was not corrected on the order. Phone call. Wait. Phone call wait. Resolved. Maybe. This is probably our last order from HF. "
"I purchased an item from Hickory Farms and immediately received a text and an email stating that my credit card had been charged. However, Hickory Fraud, er, Farms, sent me a message that stated: "YOUR ORDER COULD NOT BE SUBMITTED. PLEASE REVIEW YOUR PAYMENT SETTINGS AND TRY AGAIN." When I called them they wanted me to give them my credit card number over the phone. Duh!!! Only an idiot would do that. Besides, they already have my credit card number...after all, they charged me for the purchase. They further stated that they could not trace the order by the order number. Are you kidding me????? What the heck is an order number for?
This is fraud in a raw and bold sense. Take my money and do not deliver. This is my last order with Hickory Farms...ever. They cannot be trusted. They will be out of business in a few years or sooner. "
"I placed an order for the Home for the Holidays gift box, and paid for overnight shipping. My husband and I are apart and I had intended to send this to him for Thanksgiving. However, Thanksgiving came and went, and I heard nothing about the box arriving. I called Hickory Farms and was informed that my order hadn't shipped because the transaction was flagged for fraud- however, a quick call to my bank confirmed this was not the case. I called Hickory Farms again and received what I thought was satisfactory customer service when the woman on the phone told me she'd refund me the cost of the overnight shipping and send the box out that afternoon. Surprise surprise, another day passed and it still hadn't been delivered. Calling again, I discovered that my original order had been cancelled and a new one placed, except the item was now out of stock. The charges were still on my card so at this point as I was being charged overnight shipping on an item that they didn't even have in stock! I cancelled my order and received no sympathy at all when I expressed my dissatisfaction to the woman on the phone. I'm not asking for their employees to become personally invested in my situation, but I would like to feel like my concerns have been heard and communicated. Additionally, twice when I called I was told to hang up and call back, because the person on the other end couldn't log onto their computer? Not professional at all. I certainly won't be ordering from Hickory Farms again and I'll recommend that none of my friends or family do either. "
"I purchased an item from the mall kiosk and was over charged. They are very slow with dealing with the problem. Taking over a week to contact me. Very Poor customer service when calling the contact number as well. Kept passing me off to someone else and putting me on hold to "try to find out how to submit my refund ". Seems they didn't know what they were doing "
"I just purchased a sampler box from KMART which is Hickory Farms brand. When opening it, I noticed that the summer sausage was completely covered in mold! The expiration date was May 2015 which is 6 months away from now. I called Hickory customer service and Eric advised me to return the product. He didn't apologize for the product or the fact that I am now completely inconvenienced. He was beyond rude. I called back to speak with a manager and after waiting, a "manager" came on and advised again that I would need to return it to the store. She did apologize for the disgusting product. I can assure you that when I return this product, I will NOT be purchasing another Hickory Farms product again as long as I live. I gave them 2 chances to use any type of customer service and they did nothing to try and make this situation better. My suggestion for all customers is to check your product before you consume or give as a gift !!!!"
"DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM THIS COMPANY. Go into a store and buy it and ship it yourself. It will be much easier to get credit that way if you have to take it back. That's what I ended up doing myself... Much less difficulty....... Read On ...... I purchased Christmas products 11/4/14 to be sent to 2 family members at different address's on 12/18/14. I called on 11/14 to cancel 1 of the deliveries and was informed that it was done and I would receive a credit. After not receiving credit a week later I emailed them on 11/20 requesting status of the credit and received a response on 11/22 apologizing saying the credit would appear in 48-78hrs. Next on 12/2 after still not receiving the credit I called in this time and spoke to a rep and they apologized again saying the credit was never released and that it would be release by a supervisor and it would be get credited again within 48-72hrs. So again I waited till 12/5 and when no credit showed I called in and this time I requested to speak directly with the supervisor. After waiting 20 min she came on the line and said the credit wasn't actually released till 12/5 and it would take another bus day which would be Monday 12/8. I waited till late that day and still no credit so I called and got another rep and said I wanted to speak to a supervisor. She ask me to explain what the issue was. When I did she explained that they do not issue credits until the original ship date even thou the supervisor had stated it was 48-72hrs. By this time I'm very upset and said that I would resolve the problem easily and told her to just cancel the other half of the order and to send the credit now since there would be no ship date after a full cancel. She apologized for all the problems and arranged the cancellation and credit and sent an email confirming the cancellation and FINALLY I have a credit of $80. BUT... the actual amount of the purchase was $80.69.. I'm just glad I got the $80.. The last person seems to be the only person I spoke to that knew what she was talking about at Hickory Farms and I apologized to her because she was getting the brunt of my irritation at her company."

They emailed me for a review so I wrote an honest opinion and of course they didn't list it....shocked!"

"Ordered 2 Christmas gifts for our children on December 18th, we were given an option of dates to have these presents delivered. We chose 12/24 Christmas Eve, we received a confirmation notice that they were shipped on the 19th of December. Today is December 26th and we just got off the phone with Hickory Farms and they informed us that the packages would delivered on 12/27. The reason for the delay was the weather and UPS could not deliver so they drove the packages to the post office and they will deliver them? They had to drive by our children's homes to drive the packages to the Post Office???? Also it hasn't snowed in a week there? To make it even worse we are missing two things out of our order but were not even going to go there. We are tired of dealing with Customer Service and a guarantee of 10%....That is not the point it is now past Christmas and we wanted our family to enjoy the food together. We are now at the point of cancelling the order out of pure frustration and sending our kids the money to go out to eat! Don't order from this Company!! They are a total mess!"

"I ordered 4 items to be shipped to 4 different addresses for Christmas in early Dec. 3 of them were family Christmas gifts and 1 was for myself. My package didn't arrive for Christmas so I went online to track the package and saw that one of the other packages also hadn't been delivered. So half of my order hadn't been delivered. I called them after Christmas and they couldn't tell me what happened, but said they would send out the order "right away". I heard from my daughter a few days later that she had gotten her package. Mine never came. I finally called again in late January. Again they couldn't tell me what had happened, but said that they would send out the package "right away". The next day I got an e-mail saying there was a problem with my order, so I called - AGAIN - they didn't understand why I needed a order that had been delivered to be redelivered. I explained the situation to them (they had entered that the order needed to be reshipped to the address that it had already been reshipped to) and told them that I STILL hadn't received my order. Well, that item is no longer available. So they said they will refund the charge to my account. It's been a couple weeks and it still isn't there. I sent an e-mail complaint and haven't heard a thing from that. If it's not bad enough that they only filled 1/2 of a Christmas order on time - to me it's worse that they screwed up their own screw up. I won't be ordering from them again - and have told my friends about them."
"Ordered gifts for 2 people with future ship dates. Received email this week saying orders had shipped. Went into account today and it says both orders were "customer canceled" which I never did. Found out they did this to a bunch of customers. They never contacted me to say my order was canceled, and if I had not went in my account, I would have never known my orders (which were presents) were never going to ship."
"Absolutely the worst store ever! You can read the thread on SD, as I am only 1 of probably 4 dozen people they screwed over. Placed an order for a basket of goodies. After received a confirmation e-mail for my order, I checked on the status a couple days later. It turn out that they were doing a "BAIT AND SWITCH" which is an illegal tactic where they sell an item at a very low price and switch it with another item that they price the same, but is of MUCH lower value. In my order (like others'), they replaced my goodie basket (had about $40 worth of stuff, on sale for $9.99 plus s/h) with a crummy $10 (had only $10 worth of stuff...I wouldn't have paid $1 for). No e-mails were sent. They didn't call and ask if it was ok to substitute the item. They just went ahead and did it. I had to file a chargeback on my credit card (and won). I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well, because what they did was illegal.
Just an awful, awful company. You can see that other rating websites have similar complaints and experiences. I will NEVER buy from them again, either online or in the grocery store. F------------"
