"Wanted to document my experience ordering from HIDevolution for anyone who's on the fence for some reason.

First off all, my background. I am a 20-25 male who is doing web development for work. I was looking for a laptop that would handle my web development since my work computer is ridiculously slow. At home, I was using an HP with AMD A6-5200, 4GB SDRAM, integrated GPU, and some SanDisk 250GB SSD. It was fine, but couldn't handle the loads I put on the CPU with running programs like Postman, FTP Clients, even something as simple as Visual Studio Express. I decided enough was enough and I needed something better, lest I give up the will to live between the molasses of my work computer and underwhelming performance of the HP.

I haven't bought a computer in four years, so I started poking around the internet and found/started looking at computers like the Acer Swift 3/Aspire 5. Stuff in that $600-$800 range. I was impressed with what you could get for that money these days. That budget started opening up stuff with the i5-8250U processor, 8GB of RAM, and even some factory installed SSD's. But I couldn't shake the feeling that I should spend a few hundred more and get something in the $1000 range. Something with an i7, dedicated GPU, etc. So I Googled "high end laptops" and one of the first results was HIDevolution. I clicked on them and started poking around and saw an MSI GL63 for $899. The specs looked pretty damn good for $899. Then I saw that there was a GP73 with GTX 1060 on sale for $1099. I clicked on it, went through the configuration list, and added one to my cart. Then I left the site.

A few days later I got an email from a guy named Ted that was asking about the computer left in my cart. I asked him a few questions and was suddenly looking at dropping $1200+ on a GP73 build. With the guidance of Ted, I ended up placing an order.

So I placed the order on 11/19, a properly configured GP73 for $1,329.00 (after NBR discount, of course) which was double what I had originally set out to spend on a laptop and a good ~$400 more than my hard limit was. But I know I'm getting a hand configured machine with excellent warranty. One that will last me for many years and with more power than I'm ever going to need for my work.

My build day was slated for 11/30, which includes me emailing Ted, asking him to upgrade my HDD to a Samsung EVO SSD, which he promptly charged me for and got changed in the build. Customer service has been second to none thus far. The laptop shipped and arrived right on schedule. So far so good. I am so pleased with my experience!"

"I can’t even begin to say how good my experience was with HIDEvolution. Ted was such a huge help throughout the entire process (which took several months due to an unforeseen car repair), and was always very happy to help. After receiving the laptop (Asus RoG Zephyrus M) I am very pleased to say that the work they did was top notch. I ordered a repaste with Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut, Fujipoly Thermal Pads, and 32GB of DDR4 2666MHz RAM. Not only do they have a proprietary process for applying the liquid metal to keep it from moving and damaging components, they also use matching RAM modules for the best performance and compatibility, and for good measure they test everything for stability before they ship. Best part is, despite the fact that there is a lot of hands on work required to make these modifications, I could not even tell that anyone had touched the laptop before I received it. I am very critical of my high dollar tech purchases, but I could find no faults with this laptop after hours of testing. HIDEvolution has earned my praise and my business for life. "

Not happy at all. Purchased a laptop about a week ago, all seemed fine at first but when they listed the laptop on their website they used abbreviations to describe the screen, to my surprise I got a very dull matte finish screen and was expecting a nice vibrant 4K screen.
I reached out to customer service and they said there wasn’t anything they could do and just days later they changed their description on their website to state this screen is “anti glare” so people can understand that.
So then I call and email customer service again and I was even willing to do an exchange so they would still have my business, and even though I’m willing to just exchange they still want to charge a restocking fee!!!
Very bad customer service, so at this point I’m requesting a full refund and anyone whose reading just look at the last few negative reviews, these guys don’t want to help you unless you want to spend money, once that have that money they are not on your side anymore."

"I worked with Donald S on purchasing a new Asus laptop with Fujipoly extreme thermal pads and liquid metal repaste added as well as additional ram. Donald was the best! Very helpful and lots of communication. My laptop was done quickly and packaged well. It runs great and cooling is much improved over stock. "I ordered a laptop with HIDEvolution because I saw that they were the only company I found that would both apply liquid metal TIM to your CPU and GPU AND it was covered under warranty. Couple that with their cheap RAM upgrades from a single 16gig stick to dual channel 16s for 32gig and I was sold. They are also an authorized Asus re-builder which means all of their work is warranted for Asus as well (not just the average 3rd party reseller). I've had several questions throughout the whole experience and even while I was just looking at the laptop I was going to buy and I contacted them through their chat option. They were great the whole time, answered every question VERY quickly (usually within an hour or so if it was normal business hours) and were very friendly.

When I got my laptop in I looked it over and you would never be able to tell someone else had your system first except for the upgrades if you opened it (which I did to add my own SSD). There were no smudges or marks on the laptop at all and even the screws still looked pristine, no marks on them or stripping either. Everything was very professional and I'm more than please with the quality of it. These guys have been above my expectations every step of the way, I actually felt important to them and like I was getting personal service, which is rare these days. Not only do I highly recommend it (which I have to several friends so far), but I would buy from these guys again in a heartbeat. If you get Ted K. helping you out, you should know you're in great hands (I'm sure the others are great too)."

"I bought a Razer Blade 15 from HIDEvolution, and throughout the process, I was notified of each step of the way. Throughout my order, Ted had walked me through some changes and had given me a discount for being a student! I went with HIDEvolution for the warranty and service as Razer isn't known to have the best customer service, but from HID I can communicate one on one with Ted (the person who walked me through my purchase and options) and get pretty much near an instant response. I also went with HIDevolution for some add-ons such as liquid metal, backlighting quality check, and just an overall model specific upgrades. "I have recently bought the new Razer Blade 15.6" 4K laptop. I went for a full upgrade of the machine, 2TB SSD, 32GB RAM, Thermal paste etc. I came to HIDevolution for my purchase after reading countless good reviews on the internet and I must say I totally agree with all the good reviews.
