"I ordered two hitches, Curt brand, from Hitchanything.com and had them at my door in two days. The shipping was extremely fast and unexpected. One hitch came without a shipping box, and it was obvious that it had broken loose during transit, and FedEx simply cut the label off the box and taped it to the hitch. Result: Scratches on the paint finish, to the metal. Contacted Curt mfg, and they say I have to deal with Hitchanything, that Curt doesn't deal with the "public". Fun...so Hitchanything does what they need to do to get another one shipped, and this one arrives in a shipping box, yay! Did a quick spot check and it looked like it had a little grease on it, no big deal, I can clean it after installing it. Installing was not easy, but mission accomplished. Went to wipe clean the "grease" and it turned out to be another deep scratch to the metal. It was a hard install and I didn't want to exchange another and go through the pains of doing it again, so I contacted hitchanything about contacting Curt for some touch up paint. Curt won't ship any touch up paint, they want me to buy a can of glossy black paint and touch it up, send them the bill for the paint to reimburse. I'm sure that would look nice...not...So my theory is that these online middleman sellers don't get top quality items. I suspect they ship out seconds or damaged items for the middleman online seller items, and send top quality to their retailers. Just a theory, but seems logical after my experience. Not sure if I'd do it again. If I did, I would INSPECT THE HITCH THOROUGHLY and have them keep shipping until you get a perfect one."
