"The product I purchased (pendant lighting) is non-standard, but the website for HiveModern.com did not say this anywhere on the site. At first I tried to return the lighting but was told they didn't accept returns on lighting. That was frustrating, since my issues were related to specifications not available on the website.
I was then solicited by Reseller Ratings to post a review; I wasn't proactively seeking to leave a review. After a negative review, I was contacted by the store and told I would be able to return the lighting after all. Based on this, I'm updating my review from 1 star (strongly negative) to 4 stars (slightly positive). I'm assuming that the review went to the store owner, who seems positively concerned for customer satisfaction (Patrick).
I WOULD shop at HIVE again, but not for lighting. Too complicated. But I've had positive experience with furniture that I've purchased from them. So I'm now considering this frustration as a one-off, which the store did remedy by offering to provide a refund for this purchase. I will shop with them again, but I'll stick with furniture."
