If I could give HA a negative 10 I WOULD .

"I contacted a plumber through HA , he came to my home to repair 3 leaking faucets. He charged me $275.00 !!! AND HE STOLE MY GUN. Yes I filed a report with the police department, but beyond that I simply googled him . HE IS A CONVICTED FELON. AND in 2016 he was arrested for PROSTITUTION OF YOUNG BOYS. Yes this is not made up. I am sick thinking this pervert was in my home . HA disclaimer states they use a 3 rd party to do background checking, well I am saying you are wasting your money cause surely they could have googled this mans name and found out in seconds what I did. !! To this time HA has ignored my complaints. Do not use this company . And check any person out that you do business with "

Did not properly plan for job despite project details in inquiry and phone call.

"Booked services to assemble two 8 x 10 sheds. Was quoted low price and was dubious. Booking agent assured me that their professionals could get this done in 2 hours according to their data. IF she had told me to book an additional contractor at this time and quoted me a price based upon 2 contractors, I would have done this. It was confirmed that who/what was needed would be sent. They were not. One very nice guy arrived this morning, and understandably, he needed another pair of hands to do the work. My spouse had to help during his work time while I got on the phone and got the run-around from Home Advisor's Fixed Price Department. They finally issued a refund, yet their miscalculation and failure to plan caused inconvenience with our work and more importantly our sheds are not assembled to meet a family deadline. I emailed my complaint after speaking on the phone and was told, "We'd like to let you know that normally, our contractors work individually, rather than in teams. If the job will require an extra set of hands, arms, or drill bits, you have to make a second booking at the same time as the first, and two contractors will arrive."--again, so send a solo person who can do this in a reasonable amount of time for a reasonable price (not 2 hours for $264 bucks) OR estimate the job properly. I have a refund on the way, but not my time, and the skeleton of one shed now lurks in my back yard. Home Advisor really dropped the ball on this one; buyer beware."
