"DON’T MAKE THE MISTAKE WE DID AND READ:
Ordered a over-sized sofa chair on Jan 23rd.
Received email on Jan 30th stating that the chair had shipped and to expect phone call with in 5 to 7 business days to set up delivery in our area. We were never contacted so called shipping comant for status. After a wild goose chase to track down chair we were informed that the chair was never shipped, was sitting in warehouse entire time. Home Cinema blamed the shipping company, shipping company blamed Home Cinema, nobody wants to take blame for mistake.
After nearly a month from purchase, the chair was delivered. This is what they do not communicate to you and this is how they get you. The Driver will "drop off" the item. The Driver will not come inside home. Driver was 2 hours late from 3 hour wait window. By the time he showed up to house it was 730pm and was dark. You must sign for the furniture but what they fail to tell you is that when you sign the delivery slip you are signing that the item is in "good condition" (in print so small unless you have a microscope you will not see it." You are expected to FULLY INSPECT the item, meaning, completely unwrap it, check every nook and cranny, sit on it, use it, make sure all parts are there BEFORE you sign and BEFORE driver leaves. This is unrealistic for several reasons. A throughout inspection could take hours to see all damage. Drivers are on a schedule and want to "dump and go" second if you are a petite female like me, in this situation the chair was bigger then me, was wrapped like a mummy and was so heavy could not be lifted to inspect underneath. Unlike every other purchase where a delivery slip signature simply states that you received the shipment, this deceptive trade practice indicates that once you sign, you are releasing them from any liability unless you specifically write on the box the item is damaged, broken etc.
After driver left, it took almost an hr our to fully unwrap chair only to find that the chair was broken in 2 pieces. Contacted the driver he stated that he is"just the driver" Contacted Home Cinema within an hour of drop off. Instructed to send and email with pictures. Pictures were taken, emails were sent. No response from company. The person who answers the phone at Home Cinema Center, is also the same person who is the operator, customer service representative, manager and president…it’s a one man show and a joke of a business!
We had to get the credit card company involved to finally get a response. We were given a choice of returning the chair and paying for shipping and a 20% RE-STOCK FEE, even though chair was damaged or have someone come out to "repair" the chair. In short, we are stuck with a broken chair that we paid $800 for. A costly mistake on our end for not making the driver wait 2 hours so a military inspection could be performed before signing. Yet after speaking with others who were in the same situation and did everything according to protocol ex": call within 48 hours, write "damaged" on delivery slip, take pictures etc they still were not resolved with a refund or new chair so I’m not confident had we handled this differently we would have been compensated anyways. Our plans for ordering the matching sofa and love seat from Home Cinema end here. Home Cinema said they would repair the chair at their cost but when repair man was sent out, they only authorize $125 of the repair and repair was costing $325 and upward!!! Check out the BBB, they have over 49 complaints and I believe these "positive" reviews on here are "phony". Will be getting lawyer involved. Save yourself the time and headache and go to a reputable business with customer service."
"I ordered a Phoenix bedroom set made by Coaster furniture. I found it locally and decided to check the prices online, which the local stores couldn't match. The local stores also told us about 3-4 weeks for delivery. Ordered online and had it delivered in just 5 days. We called to confirmed it wasn't on backorder first, and were told in stock. Sure enough, delivered very quick, and its a beautiful set. One of the feet on the night stand had a wierd finish. We called it in, and were ups the part in about 10 days. We just wanted to share our positive experience. "
"We placed an order for two black Homelegance bookcases and a file cabinet on Dec 31 2011. After two weeks without any information except for an email immediately after ordering we called them to find out what was going on. They said it was on back order and would be shipped in approximately two weeks. In about two more weeks we called them again and were told that the order would be shipped "in a couple of days". In a couple of days no one called us again. When we called we were promised the order would be shipped "next week". Meaningless to say no one called us "next week" as well. This time, when called they told they knew nothing about order but were going to call us at the end of the day. At the very end of the day during our call the promised to call us tomorrow. Finally they called us and told that order were ready to ship but two bookcases were white.
We cancelled the order."
"I was shopping for a new sectional and came across this site. I went with a Jackson Sectional that we had found at our local store, but they told us it would be months before they could get it. Had it delivered in just 10 days, and for a better price. Gorgeous furniture, and all of our friends are asking about it. A+"

"I purchased a recliner with massage n heat from HCC and found the delivery to be prompt and without incident. However my recliner motor ie heat and massage motor make a good deal of racket and 3 emails and a phone call later (1week+) I have not heard back from them. Buyer beware! There are a lot of online furniture stores and Home Cinema seems to have some of the worst customer service I've experienced, especially given all they would have to do is contact the manufacturer for warranty service on my chair. I would not buy from them again, given the poor customer service I've experienced.

"This was a typical trouble free order. I placed my order for a 6 piece compass Catnapper sectional on the phone and it was delivered 3 weeks later in perfect condition. Their price was unbeatable, lower than the competition. The delivery time was a little longer becasue I wanted a reverse configuration which was backordered by about one week. Never had to call customer service after the order because I received timely updates by email so I know what was going on. Great service and great price."
"Although they praise themselves for 2-3 day delivery and 2 day response to customer problems neither is true. Delivery was 10 days, chair came damaged, 3 messages for replacement parts were ignored. Finally a call and complaint caused them to contact the manufacturer who, they say, will send the part in 10 days (uncomfortable for a chair with only 3 legs....so it will be about a month from order to a usable product. Chair quality is fair but I would never order from them again and feel I should warn others about this too.
When I asked why they had never responded to my e-mail messages he said, "Well, it's only been a few days."...and he claimed to received only have one and I sent 3.
