HCC went out of their way to help me

"HCC went out of their way to help me with my purchase.. I had to send a cashier's check which made it hard to use a coupon code since they expire in only a few days. They held my check until a new code was available and then applied that. They saved me nearly $200 by doing this.

They kept me informed and gave me a direct phone number to call my rep if I needed anything.

I also really liked the shipping company they used. The delivery man took the time to put the pallet somewhere safe and out of the weather and was very nice about the extra work. The bedroom set I order is beautiful and was completely assembled inside the boxes. And I love I didn't have to step foot in a retail store..

"Went exactly like I wanted it to. Great responses (professional and easy to understand) to a phone query. The item looked like it should and was just what I had expected.

My husband loves our new sofa set and the fact we saved hundreds from local stores.

Love shopping here

"The hall tree, coffee table, cubbies with hooks, over door hooks -- so far everything we've gotten via HCC has been as described. We spend quite a lot on HCC staff time getting answers (is this furniture solid wood, what wood exactly, what is the weight limit on this chair or that love seat, how are returns handled, etc. etc, etc) with the result that we have never had to use their generous return policy. We will get more things here for sure."

Would highly recommend!

"The Sectionals HCC sells are very nice and true to written about them. Colors are very accurate, and materials are extremely comfortable.

Customer Service staff is verify helpful. And even with shipping and still cheaper to buy from HCC than any less original furniture in my local town. Despite one small shipping hiccups I had with my order quickly. I still go back and plan to furnish the rest of my house soon. Would highly recommend!

Not a good overall experience.

"I would use caution before I buy from them. The ordering process was smooth, the merchandise arrived in a timely fashion but one piece of it was damaged significantly at the top. I immediately called the 800 number and was given curt instructions by a man on the phone. He really seemed to act bothered by my phone call. I needed to take pictures send them in with copies of the invoice and shipping label. I waited two days and called back to make sure that they had received them. The same man answered the phone and again seemed bothered by the phone call. He kept telling me that I needed to take care of all of this through email. I finally received an email response that asked for more pictures. I sent them in with the same delay in response. Once again I called the number with the man, once again, responding in a not friendly manner. From the time the furniture arrived damaged to when I finally received an email detailing the options was probably over a week (a little disconcerting). When they responded their response was that I only had two options, they would give me a $115 credit or they would send someone out to fix it. That was it. There was no room for options or discussions, again not good customer service. I told them that I would have it repaired but that I wanted some kind of guarantee on the repair and that I wanted the phone number of the person doing the repair. About a week later I received the repair information. By this time I had disputed the charge on my credit card because I wasn't confident that they would follow through. The furniture was repaired, however, I wasn't comfortable paying full price for a damaged piece of furniture and I had no way of knowing that the repair would hold. I contacted my credit card company and disputed the amount of $115 which is 20% and typical of a damaged piece of furniture. I would later find out through my credit card that they were claiming that I broke the furniture which is completely untrue. I opened the box and it was broke. In between that time I tried to contact the company by phone, they wouldn't answer the phone, I tried by email and they wouldn't return my emails. The transaction would have been good if there weren't any damaged pieces, but I wasn't that lucky and you might not be that lucky either. If the furniture is OK, you will have no problems, but dealing with them over a defective item makes my interaction with them an overall negative experience and I wouldn't do business with them again."

I had a great experience

"I had a great experience dealing with HCC. I did have 1 mall problem but it was taken care of immediately. They assigned a rep to deal with the problem so you only have 1 point of contact to deal with which was very helpful. The resolution was efficient, thorough and pleasant.

The recliners I ordered looked exactly like they did on line and are super comfortable. I have nothing but good things to say about this entire transaction. From the products they sell and the people who work there - outstanding!

Very Happy Customer. A+ across the board

"What a wonderful experience dealing with HCC. I worked with a service Rep named Kelly. She was extremely helpful. The entire order process was explained to me and she followed through right up to the scheduled delivery date. The white glove delivery crew brought everything inside, removed the boxes, setup the furniture and did the assembly. I just watched and offered drinks. :)

Furniture exactly as described and fits our house perfectly

"Furniture exactly as described and fits our house perfectly!! Customer service was very helpful from start thru delivery, and very minor assembly questions. Online shopping was a breeze. We had been looking to purchase for quite some time and came across this site.

The fact we could reach someone to talk to by phone quickly, they had the products we wanted, and the prices were amazing certainly helped us decide to go with HCC.

Delivery date was as promised and the people delivering were outstanding. I would certainly use HCC again.

"Ordered an upholstered leather office chair $400 and a $1000 desk. Chair arrived badly damaged and desk came with wrong parts, couldn't be assembled. I immediately contacted Home Cinema Center to request a solution to the issues at the time the items were delivered and unpacked at about 1230 pm Central Time on 07/25/2016. The packaging for the items was in good condition with no holes, dents or visible damage. Upon opening the box with the chair I discovered both wooden arms on the chair were snapped clear through. One of the chair arms had a sloppy hole drilled through it that looked like a botched repair. When I opened the desk boxes I found the desk was shipped with two left drawer base units and it couldn't therefore be assembled to the desk top. The items arrived at 1200 noon on 07/25/2016. I called the company immediately upon discovery of the issue at about 1230 pm. The man on the phone was rude and short with me on the phone, demanding I send him email proof to verify my claims. He then hung up on me twice without any explanation of what the return process is or any apology for the defective merchandise. I then immediately send photos of the chair with two broken wooden arms and the desk with two left base units which could not be assembled. There there needs to be a left and a right unit to be able to assemble the desk. I called again on 07/19/2016 and same individual refused to speak to me about how my issue was going to be resolved or to even confirm receipt of the photos I sent by e-mail. The company has a 7 day return policy and refused to discuss what will be done to resolve this issue. When asked if they received my photos he told me it would take three to five days to respond by email. I demanded they pick up defective items and provide a full refund. There has been no response. There are multiple (29) other customers with similar complaints at the following consumer website: https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.homecinemacenter.com Go to One star reviews and you will see a definitive pattern with the same shoddy customer service. Then when I attempted to post an honest review of their activities on their site, set up for that purpose it was not posted."
