Military denial for family

"I always have been a regular Home Depot customer. My husband and I have spent quite a bit of money over the years on paint and other products at HD. I, however, have been appalled at one of their employees. "Buffy" was quite rude and would not allow me to use a military discount on my husbands' military card, even though I showed her the card. The other employees that we or I have used have given us no problems at HD. I am thoroughly disappointed the HD would employ someone that would give a difficult time to military families. When I go to Lowes they don't give me the third degree about a military discount. Sad to say but HD has lost our business due to this. "

"Home depot can be a friendly place but the service is terrible as in don't give a C***
I ordered on line to be delivered to store, store never called me nor could anyone tell me whats going on. 5 weeks later I find out my order has been at the store for 3 weeks. The store just can't perform, incompetent workers rule the roost. The attitude is they just don't care.

Home Depot should be called overseas depot

"I needed help locating a shipment that was overdue. The tracking information was completely wrong. I got on the HD chat and was answered by "Chiquita" who clearly did not speak English. Grammar was horrid. Responses were cut and paste. When I asked where she was located, she refused to answer. I said, "Your English isn't good enough to be in the US". She said, "I am in the US". I said, "What city?" She said, "I am not allowed to say for security reasons". Give me a break. HD is outsourcing their call center. They are training their workers to lie about it. After years of HD purchases I am headed to Lowes."

Home decorators click lock brand flooring failure and no responsibilty taken by niagara falls ny store

"I installed home decoators ( mohawk brand ) click lock flooring. Not much clicking going on and shortly through installation we started to see the short tabs were not clicking in a setting properly. Tried various techniques asked for tech advice and started communicating with the store . I got resistance from the beiginning to take any responsibilty for a bad product. I pleaded ny case with evidence of consistant failure all over 400 sq ft of planks with some from different stores and lot numbers and all performing the same by standing up at short seams and eventually coming apart lengthwise also after light traffic. Even the samplea have inconsistency whcih i was told because they are 5 years old....and it may be a moisture problem. Pretty strange for a waterproof product to fail under the possibilty of high humidity or this to be a reason brought up to make an excuse for a lane product. I supplied samples for testing and was denied a viewing for help or responsibility to stand behind their products. They are hoping i just go away even though we are willing to replace product supplied frok the smae store so if refunded the cost is spent replacing the product you sold me yhay failed. It is a 78 year old woman who has been waiting 25 years to get a new floor and she is left with defective warped and non lockong edges. This is not over. Niagara falls needs to make this right. "

Rude Store Personel and No Attention to Customer Service in Dahlonega, GA

"Placed a special order for a fence. Tried for 3 different days to check status of order and NO ONE ever answered the phone EVER! My husband and I both stayed on hold at the same time for 45 minutes....three different times. When we FINALLY got someone to answer on the 4th day, we were told that the fencing that was due to be in this week is now set to be delivered 2 weeks later. UNACCEPTABLE!! We just relocated to the Dahlonega,GA last July and this is the absolute WORST store ever. We have spent THOUSANDS here in the past year and the way we get treated is obscene. "

Beware/Deceptive advertising/Refuse to honor advertised prices!!!!

"I wish I could give them less than a zero rating! Deceptive advertising to get you into the store. They would not honor their advertised price. Do not shop at Home Depot. On June 28, 2019 I went to Home Depot in Worcester, MA. I sat with one of their associates for over an hour (I left there between 230-3PM) picking out an Anderson sliding patio door with blinds inside. The price advertised on a sign in that store gave a price of $1299 with the Frame kit included. I told the associate I would like to purchase that door. The associate was a very sweet gentle young hispanic male. He thought that the door was in stock but when he checked the computer there were none in stock. He stated that he would order it for me and the price would still be $1299. When he went on the computer the price was $1601.06 (their on line sale price-$300 more than advertised in store). He then called his manager, Christine, on the phone to ask her to match the price they had advertised in the store. Christine told him the price that they had on their sign in the aisle was wrong and someone forgot to change it, and that I would have to pay the on line price. I asked the Associate to call Christine back and tell her that I would like to speak with her, by phone or in person. He again called her and I saw the look of panic on the associates face as the manager refused to speak to or meet with me. The associate hung up the phone and he was very apologetic, and at a loss for words, as he repeated his supervisors response that she would not honor the price they had advertised. He told me that the manager he spoke with was "Christine". I asked if she was in the front of the store and he stated he was not sure.

I thanked this associate for his time, told him to cancel my order as I would not be doing business with Home Depot again, and went to the front desk and asked for the supervisor Christine. A young man in the Customer Service returns aisle said she was not available and asked what was wrong. I told him what transpired and asked him to notify Christine that I would making a complaint to the corporate office, the Better Business Bureau, and every social media site that I could post a bad review. He apologized and stated he would pass that message on. No one at the front desk offered to rectify this situation!

I have pictures of the signs posted in front of the advertised door I was looking at in the store, as well as a picture of the online price that they were trying to force me to pay. There was a difference of over $300. Not only were they trying to get me to pay $300 more, that had the nerve to say that was a sale price and the price was normally over $400 more than the price advertised in their store.

I am shocked at this deceptive practice being allowed by the management at the Home Depot in Worcester, MA. After leaving there I purchased a door from a local reputable business, as I needed a door.

No Customer Service

"I spent quite a lot of money at the Home Depot on Bandera Road in San Antonio, Texas, June of 2018 and relayed my experiences with the store, staff, and its affiliates to customer service.
I was upset with the long wait times over the phone with the store, and the lack of communication between the departments at the store and with the customer, causing much confusion.
I was upset with how long it took to get everything delivered, installed, and then FIXED after incompetent and careless workmanship. I spent a lot of time on the phone, scheduling, rescheduling, and waiting for jobs to be completed and redone.
I was upset that materials I bought from this store were defective and look terrible in my new house due to shoddy painting.
I was upset that I spent over $16,000 at this store in one day, and then treated disrespectfully in so many ways over the next year.
After several months, I heard nothing back from customer service. I complained. Someone apologized and said they would get back to me. After a few more months, and bugging customer service again, the manager of the Bandera Rd. store finally left me a message asking me to return his call.
I tried multiple times over the next week. He was either at a different store or “in a meeting” every time I called. I left messages that were not returned. When I explained how difficult it had been to get a hold of him, someone else spoke to me about my issues. He was not a manager, but he listened to me, read my original email I had sent to customer service, and told me the manager would get back to me by the end of the day. This man was the one to call me back, not the manager. He said the best the store could do was offer me $200. I explained how after all the money and time I’d spent at their store, on their supplies, and having jobs done and redone, this was not equivalent compensation for everything I’ve suffered through.
So, I explained to customer service what happened. They told me they would pass my concerns on to their corporate office and ask the manager of the store to call me. The manager has never called. It’s been several more months, and I have heard from no one.
I understand that with a company this size, it is difficult to manage communication and employees, but someone should investigate improvement at all levels all the way up to the corporate offices!
If a customer service department is this unresponsive, I have to wonder if it’s the department or that they are dealing with a massive number of complaints. Either way, Home Depot has lost my business permanently!

Horrible delivery service

"The delivery service has reached an all time low in my opinion at Home Depot. We had a Dishwasher scheduled to be delivered last Saturday between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. When the driver didn't show up, I called the delivery service number only to be informed by an automated message that the driver is simply late. I called several more times up to midnight, each time to be informed by an automated delivery message that the driver will be coming to our house, but is late. Really, he's coming after midnight? The driver never showed up and never had the courtesy to pickup the phone and call to inform me he's not coming. I gave up my kid's soccer game waiting for the delivery service guy and wasted the whole day waiting for him."

" we had a very bad experience w their managers bad attitude they dont want to fix problems at the store e we think their people are lazy they dont want to work we are fed up w their bad sales people at store no knowledge of materials they are selling never in a hurry to help they dont like your complain they will set u up using false accusation they will provoke you to act in a way that they will use against you if you start criticizing their work, that happen to friend of mine we have decide to boycott this store RANCHO MiRAGE CA shame of you ! enough is enough "

Lousy Online/Delivery Service ZERO STARS

"ZERO STARS for the lousy delivery service that Home Depot chooses to contract with but accepts no responsibility for.
I placed an order for 2 closet doors sets and paid extra for "room of choice" delivery since I cannot carry the 150# sets of doors in by myself and did not want to risk vandalism or theft of the order. I checked my online tracking status daily and the first status change after "shipped" on June 6 was on June 12 with an estimated delivery date of June 18th. I contacted customer service on June 12th to see if there was a window of time they could provide since I had mandatory training on the 18th. If the 18th could be confirmed, I had 2 other dates I could reschedule the training on the same week, but I needed 24 hours’ notice to make the change. John advised me to check my tracking. I shared that I had already and there was nothing except "estimated" on the 18th. John stated he would check the next day and call me. John did not make the call. However, when I checked my online status on June 13th, I had a "Good News! Your order is arriving early on June 14th!" message. I called to ask for a window of time and Marsha informed me that the drivers did not need for me to be there, they were going to leave the merchandise at my door. She also advised that it was too late to contact delivery, that I needed to call back in the morning. So I did. After 32 minutes on hold for the delivery service, they disconnected the call without answering. I then called Home Depot customer care. Michelle provided the only customer service I have received in this ordeal. She was able to stop the delivery service and have the doors sent instead to my local Home Depot store so that I could arrange pick-up and delivery from there. I was informed that I should follow-up in 3 days if I had not been contacted. So, today was day 3 and the online system showed - again falsely - that an appointment had been scheduled for delivery for tomorrow, June 18th. I called customer service to see if this was confirmed, as I would need to reschedule the mandatory training if delivery was truly scheduled for June 18th. Emma informed me that the door sets MIGHT be delivered tomorrow (Tuesday, June 18th) morning and that I would be given a 30-minute notice via call or text if they were on the way. Emma also stated that if the delivery did not occur on Tuesday, that they MIGHT deliver on Wednesday or Thursday or Friday. So the message is that if you place an order for Home Depot delivery, you must remain within 30-minutes ETA of the delivery address for 7-10 days. From the number of negative delivery service reviews, Home Depot is clearly aware of the issue and does not care anymore than their inept delivery service does.

"Terrible to work with. ordered standard size storm doors three months ago. When it should’ve taken only a week. Then can’t get Home Depot‘s installers to come out and install them. Took another month. Will never work with them again. I will be taking my business to Lowe’s. "

HORRIBLE installation/delivery experience! Cancelled Order!

"I ordered a new dishwasher online from Home Depot, and paid for installation and delivery. First delivery attempt the man took one minute to look at my plumbing, and said he couldn't do the installation, and I would need to pay a plumber to come to my condo to do it. I asked him if he could still make the delivery, and he said yes. He went out to his truck, and I took the opportunity to go to the bathroom. Not 5 minutes later, I leave the bathroom to see him LEAVING without making the delivery. I call the delivery service, and they ended up rescheduling me for another delivery two days later. The morning of the 2nd delivery they call to tell me their truck has broken down, and they will not delivery for another two days!! A delivery company that doesn't have back up trucks to make deliveries?? I CANCELLED the order from Home Depot, and ordered the dishwasher from Lowe's. Their installation / delivery man had NO PROBLEM with my plumbing, was very courteous and efficient. Will NEVER buy from Home Depot again!
P.S. I made the purchase 5/10/2019. For some reason the field is recording the year as 2020, and I can't change it.

Home Depot ****

"Been a customer since they opened. Now I wish there was a retailer that actually cared about its in store customers and mail order customers. You can walk around the store for a long time and no one will offer assistance. You may need to interrupt a group of employees talking to get help. If you need to order online....good luck. The delivery date may be changed more than once and don't bother calling because the employee will be clueless regarding why things change. Last time I check out in the store with a number of items for a job I was asked if I had found everything, I replied yes. Her reply was that's a miracle all was in stock. I try to buy everything from Amazon.....Amazon deserves every cent they earn!"
