"Be aware of HooToo! I needed a replacement battery for my old Dell Latitude D610 laptop. I bought it mainly for travels a couple of years back for $150 with XP installed. Very good stuff for that price but with an issue that came up one year later – the battery. This year, a month before my next trip I decided to find a replacement battery. While googling I got a bad luck. That was HooToo. For $30 they sold me a battery which as it proved could not keep charge at all. After multiple email exchanges with HooToo and their many advices - check this, do that, take pictures of the battery, sticker, barcodes, etc. they admitted that the battery was problematic and suggested to return it at my cost. The cheapest cost for the delivery of a small item from Toronto (Canada) to the Golden State is $25. My suggestion for HooToo was to send me another battery, but double check it before shipping it out. I promised to return the previous one at my cost after I can see that the 2nd replacement works. That was HooToo fault - not mine. Why on earth should I have another chance to be screwed with yet one more fake battery? HooToo explained me that it is their policy to inspect the item before replacing. I decided not to risk with $25 + next delivery cost HooToo would have charged me. In fact, I had probably saved much more. That purchase was a test. I intended to order at HooToo a pretty expensive thing - for ~ 800 bucks. So guys, here is the moral: if HooToo hooked you and you are about to place the order, buy something cheap and then decide if it's worth to continue your relations with HookedToo. As I said, I got a bad luck - but made the right decision. Be aware of HooToo!"

"I ordered a keyboard for my laptop, it was listed as in stock so I went with them. They gave me the run around when I still hadn't gotten it by 2 weeks. They kept telling me to be patient that they will get it for me, while the whole time they had it listed as still in stock on their website. I finally got fed up and they said they would refund me and 1 week late they still haven't gotten me my refund when they said it would only take 24 hours."

"Well I purchased a keyboard for my laptop and the first this was the item was shipped from somewhere in China, after waiting for 2 Weeks for my order to arrive. I got a call from Fedex asking me for fill out paper work for importing a computer item before they would deliver my order. After a few days I had to contact fedex again they finally delivered my order and It was damaged. I emailed photos to HooToo and requested a replacement for the damaged keyboard and so far all I have gotten is the run around looks like I will have to dispute the charge with my credit card company and get my keyboard from another company. I wouldn't do business with HooToo every again and would tell eveyone I know to do the same."

"Purchased a replacement screen for my Toshiba Laptop, after reading reviews on this site I was concerned. But all is good screen came in today, packed very well. I installed it and now the Toshiba laptop will be used by my son $82.00 is a lot better than $450.00 to buy him a new one. I think one needs to be sure they are ordering the right product, I had actually taken the old screen out to verify the numbers on the back of it before ordering as there were hundreds of different screen options with very slightly different properties. I will consider HooToo again in the future if I need parts fo any of my PC's"

"We purchased an HP laptop battery off the hootoo.com website. We have only been using it for about 3 months and it's already totally dead! We don't use the computer so much that the battery would go dead that quickly. We even left it plugged in to charge all night and the battery test still failed. Good thing we had a backup battery because otherwise we would have been in trouble being as we use our computer for our business. I wouldn't purchase anything from this company ever again as it seems as though their products, even though they are inexpensive, don't last very long. On top of all that i try calling the place to get them to send us a replacement under the warranty and I can't get ahold of anybody!!! SOOOOOO frustrating!!!!!!! Better off going through a well known company than through this place. Doesn't really save you any money in the long run because you'll probably have to keep replacing parts after a short period of time. NEVER BUYING ANYTHING FROM THEM EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE A WASTE OF TIME!!!"

Once I saw all of the comments from others having a similar experience, I called my credit card company to report it and told HooToo to cancel the order."

"I needed a new keyboard for my Asus G72GX notebook. Ok, fair, I ordered one but the page after said the payment didn't go through. So again, put in my info and order. Turns out, it DID go through and I DID order FOUR keyboards. Total cost per keyboard was $42.32. I called to see if I can cancel 3 orders that same hour, but no answer. Called the next 3 days but still no answer. Weeks later, I have not received one thing. I lost all hope but at the same time, wouldn't be surprised if I received anything this upcoming month. Please, don't use this company for anything. Save your money or go elsewhere."
