"I ordered a 3rd party AC Adapter for my Dell Latitude D830 from HooToo at a rediculous low price of $17.39. I was insanely skeptical and thought for sure after I ordered that I was being scammed. However, 2 days later my order showed up at my door. The AC Adapter works perfectly and is even the high-powered version necessary to properly charge my laptop, and I have had no issues.

"Placed an order for a LCD screen on 10/11 and my credit card was charged that day. On 10/14, I still had not heard anything and checked on-line to find that my order was still only listed as Paid. I did notice that I never received an e-mail confirmation of my order.
On 10/14, I tried to call to get an update on my order status. After selecting the option for customer service, I get a recording that the person I am trying to reach is on the phone and to leave a message. The recording then quickly changes to say that the mailbox cannot handle any more messages.
One other thing I realized is that the cost of the LCD screen has gone up about $10 since I paid for it. It will be interesting to see what happens.
Update 10/14: Tried calling back in the afternoon and still told that the voice mailbox is full. I tried the Wholesale Dept. extension and had the same issue. If I stay on the line and wait for my call to be answered, it eventually disconnects you.
Update 10/20: On 10/14 I sent an e-mail asking what was going on with the order. I received a reply early on 10/15 that the part was out of stock and that they were trying to get it back in stock for me. I decided to give them a few days as my client was not in a huge rush.
On 10/20 I see that Hootoo replied to my post that they have issued me a refund and canceled my order. I did not receive anything via e-mail notifying me of this. I'll update again once I see that the refund has come through.
Update 10/23: I checked my credit card and it showed that I had a credit from Hooto on 10/19, so they did credit me back for the canceled order. While they did provide the refund very quickly after canceling the order, the initial lack of service and communication is an issue for me.
Update 11/08: Received a call from Hootoo customer service apologizing for the service I received. They told me for my trouble that I would be getting an Amazon gift card in my e-mail. They also asked that I update my review to no rating to help preserve their rating. While I probably would have upped the rating just for the fact of the follow-up and gift, the request to update my rating is hard to ignore.
Update 12/25: I never received the Amazon gift card."
"Sent purchased glass LCD panels in thin paper USPS mailer, no packing, items arrived broken, unresponsive to numerous phone call efforts, bots and automated responses only, never able to reach human, numerous emails no answer, only responded when filed VISA claim, then promised refund but never refunded, sent item back delivery confirmed, company still won't refund, absolute WORST online buyer experience, never again for me at HooToo.com "

"I went to my local Best Buy where I was ignored. When I did get attention as I was leaving the store, the location of the laptop AC Adapter I needed was shown to me by a pointing finger. The cost of it was almost 90 dollars!
I left at went to Radio Shack. They were nicer and suggested I try online to find one that wasn't so pricey.
I googled what I needed and chose Hootoo.com and exactly what I needed popped up. The price was right and it was only going to take a few days to receive it!

"we, my wife and i, are not well versed in electronics nor doing purchases over the internet. however the process for the item to purchase was quick and simple, starting with the search for the needed type of item to the payment and arrangement for delivery. the item, a dc converter for a laptop, was an insanity pacification device for the 20 hour trip to and fro from new york to florida with 2 kids in the back seat. and with a splitter and to sets of earphones, i did not have to listen to audio portions of movies and they did not have to listen to my music from an era passed by. i do not know who was happier...who cares!"

"I lost my laptop AC adapter and needed a replacement fast. All the big name retailer want anywhere between $50 and $75 for a brand new one and with my laptop being 4 years old, I really wanted a cheaper alternative.
