Never order anything from HT.com

"1. There are often huge delays in order shipments.
It can easily take 8-12 days before your order even gets shipped (on the items that are in stock)
2. Their customer service is horrible.
They respond to your e-mails pretty fast, but the help they give you is next to none.
They are never willing to help you.
Most of the customer reps barely speak English (and that includes written English too).
It often takes me time to even understand what they wrote down
3. If you order a collectible item, like FUNKO POP, get ready to receive it in the DAMAGED BOX and when you contact them requesting a free shipping return because the item arrived damaged, they take the life out of you by telling you that the box, not item is damaged so they can't give a free return.
So they pretend to not understand the value of collectible items like FUNKO POPS goes down A LOT when their boxes are damaged.
4. Trying to get a refund from them is another nightmare story that I do not even want to go into (tries 2 times and each time it literally took me accumulated hours of being on hold with different reps trying to make sense out of it all)

All in all, almost every time i bought something from them I had a bad experience.

Horrible return process and customer service!!

"I ordered a coat for halloween in October 2017 and tried to cancel it 2 days later and was told they could not cancel the order.. then they went ahead and shipped the item anyway to the store 2 weeks later.. I did not go pick the item up because i had told them i did not want it.. December 28th i recieved an email saying i picked the item up which i did not. I called the store and they told me they put it back in stock and i would recieve a refund in 5-7 days.. now January 2018 still no refund. I called customer service number and was told i would recieve the refund in 3-5 days again. Then recieved an email saying it could take up to 2-3 WEEKS to process my refund!!! I am still waiting and WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE AGAIN!!. VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE!!"

Wrong Item Again and Again

"I ordered an eyeshadow palette a few weeks before Christmas. I received the wrong item. I called, and was told they would send me the correct item. After Christmas, I received the same wrong item. The warehouse had the wrong item in packaging that said it was what I had really ordered. I talked to the same man on the phone, and he told me that they have to send me my order again. It should be here today, and I have little, to no hope of getting what I really ordered. I looked online, and what I ordered is now saying it's out of stock and what they keep sending me is saying it is now in stock(after previously being o.o.s.). If i get the wrong item again, I will probably yell(especially if I have to talk to the same man), I will demand a refund, and I will tell them that I want compensation for my trouble. "

Horrible Christmas time service.

"I ordered a couple shirts ofh Hot Topics website on Nov 24.
I had no update on the tracking and was eventually told it was a lost package after a month of waiting...
It is December 29 now and I still have received no service on a refund to be given to me...
It has been a horrible experience!

Beyond Ridiculous!!!

"I ordered a gift online on December 5th. 14 business days is what they told me, which would have STILL gotten here before Christmas. I called the a week before and it hadn't been processed yet, but was told that it could take the full 14 days. So I waited, Christmas Eve I called and it hadn't even been SHIPPED YET! And then I get a shipped notification 2 days after Christmas. I call today, the 29th to see where it is in tracking and I got told that it would take 14 BUSINESS DAYS FROM SHIPPING!!!!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM HOT TOPIC ONLINE!!!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT!!
I am currently trying to get them from the store directly instead, but they don't have the sizes I need. NEVER NEVER NEVER again!

Pretty Good with a few mishaps

"I've never had a bad experience till now but I did order many items but the processing time is definitely taking longer than usual, it only takes one day for me for all my other orders but the one I'm currently waiting for to find is processing is more, it does say it takes 1-2 days so I'll wait because it is the holiday season. I won't let one apple ruin the bunch and I'll probably order from them again as I've done in the past. "

Worst customer service and shipping

"Same story as most people here. Placed an order to be shipped to store for pickup on Dec 5th. Website stated "allow up to 14 days for item to reach it's destination.. On the 19th, I finally got an e-mail saying it was shipped. Wondering when it would actually arrive, I called their customer service, waited on hold awhile, finally gave my number for call back. No call. Emailed them, no response. Called twice more, and emailed again. Still no response. Since I payed with PayPay, I decided to file a PayPal complaint. That finally made them respond. BUT, their claim now is that the 14 days starts the day they ship it out, which was Dec 18th. So, according to them, they are still within the " delivery window." What a load of bull !!! Worst online shopping experience I ever have had! They have definitely lost my business, and I'm telling everyone I know."

False shipping claims

"Like most others I made an online order under the belief the items would arrive before Christmas. I ordered on 12/15 as I received an email from hot topic specifically indicating this was the last day for christmas delivery with standard shipping. Well my order did not ship until several days later and will not arrive until 2 days after Christmas. I tried contacting customer service via email but it has been about one week with no response from them. I am now forced to buy replacement gifts, will receive items i dont need , and will be out return shipping costs if i dont keep them as the order was made via paypal."

Same as everyone else...

"Placed an order on 12/06, with the site claiming it should arrive betwee the 16th and 20th. Great, before Christmas! Product didn’t ship until the 20th (which also happens to be the day after I called customer service to ask what was up).

The email has a link to track your package, but no tracking number. So I have no idea where the package is or when it’s arriving.

Long story short, wife is down a Christmas gift this year and I won’t get her anything from there ever again.

ORDERING ONLINE IS A JOKE!!

"I placed an order online my credit card was charged and I received a confirmation email. The next day I get an email saying my order was cancelled. I called customer service, opted to get a call back however I never received a call back. I ordered everything again and same thing. Confirmation and then an email saying my order was cancelled again.
I emailed customer service this time asking what was going on. No response so I call again. This time someone actually calls me back. He tells me everything on my order (9 items) are out of stock. I told him they all still show available online. So he asks for the item numbers to look them up puts me on hold several times, sometimes not even telling me he was going to put me on hold and then comes back and all of sudden can’t hear me and hangs up! I tried to order again. Breaking the orders up still got cancelled. Narrowed the order to the 3 things I really wanted and ordered them individually and all three were cancelled. I finally got an email back from customer service telling me that I have to call the order in and they have to three way call with my credit card to get approval. What in the world is that?? Why do they even take online orders then?? My credit card was not declining any of the orders I get text messages when I place online orders and got one for every order. I even tried one of the attempts with PayPal thinking that might work. WHAT A JOKE!!
Here I am 4 days later having spent several hours on hold with them waiting for yet another phone call back to place my order. I’ve bought everything I could other places but there are 3 things no one else has! SO FRUSTRATING!!

Never again

"First, the men's I was trying to order for my son online were only listed with woman's sizes. The email I received 3 days later simply told me to contact customer service by phone. After a 50 minute wait on the phone, I pushed to have a customer service agent return my call "without losing my place in the cue". 2 hours later, I received a call back. After two holds and agent conferences with their supervisor, they were able to correlate to the men's size and take my order. In the taking of the order, the agent kept transposing numbers, reading name and address and email address back incorrectly. I paid to expedite the shipping to 3 day so that it would arrive in time for Christmas. When trying to check order status, their system kept coming up with "no such order". Upon calling again with a 35 minute wait this time, it turned out that the agent had made two mistakes in the email address, and this agent supposedly changed it after telling me what the errors were. I can now check order status- but only by putting in the wrong email address. And the package will be arriving 3 days after Christmas because it took them 3 days to pull and ship the order- - one pair of pants. I have no idea who Hot Topic hired to get them through the busy holidays, but they should hire someone else next year. I will never again shop online with Hot Topic."

Worst customer service

"Placed an order online and did not receive a confirmation email. Called the company the next day and their employee could find no record of the order, so he helped us place it again. Took over an hour.
Two days later found out our credit card was billed for the original order AND the replacement order.
Spent 3 to 4 hours on the phone over the next several days trying to sort out what to do and got a different response each time. Their customer service reps were rude, argumentative and completely incompetent.
A month later and we finally got SOME of our money back. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!

Horrible Customer Service, total waste of time

"I too have had issues similar to what others here have stated. I placed an order 2 weeks ago for some funko pops for my daughter, I was waiting for part of the order that did not ship and received an email on Tuesday 12-19-2017 saying the items were not available and I would not be charged, we 'll problem is these were part of a buy 2 get 1 free promo so since 2 of them weren't purchased I did get charged for 1 of the free ones, I got no explanation for this just an email without the $15 off coupon some received. The story goes on from there, I placed another order on 12-19-2017 again for a buy 2 get 1 free promo as well as 25% off express shipping to get it by the Holiday. I ordered 3 similar items that were only differing by color only, each costing roughly $50 each thinking it was a great deal because 1 of them would be free, wrong! The next day I get an email saying my order changed and another apologizing with a $15 off coupon, 2 of my 3 items were canceled, I lost out on the promo for buy 2 get 1 and also paid for express shipping that was useless. These items were all listed and shown on the website as in stock, to me this is a bait and switch tactic! I have also emailed HT customer service and called them 2 times, once I waited nearly 35 minutes only to be disconnected by the agent after being put on hold and the 2nd time after calling and waiting for a call-back that was offered was disconnected as soon as I answered the call and never received another call back. Extremely upset with this company and will never rely on them for Holiday gifts again! Look elsewhere."

Worst sutomer service ever

"Let me start by saying how sick I am with your lack of customer service. I ordered 4 shirts on Black Friday from the website, thinking I got a great deal getting shirts for $10.00. I get my shipment in on 12/5/17 I call right away letting them know I only received 2 of my items. Well now one of the items are no longer available they were sold out, I choose another shirt. I was told the items were being sent out next day for shipment because of the mistake of only receiving 2 of my items. Well here we are 12/20/17 NO ITEMS!!! I have sent 2 emails no response back, I have called the customer care line requested a call back NO RESPONSE! I can understand how it’s the holidays and things get delayed trust me I work with the public on a daily basis however if my customer service was as bad as your response time I would no longer have a job. These are Christmas gifts and now because we are so close to the holiday I have to go purchase something else. I guess I’m just **** out of my $20.00, Merry Christmas HOT TOPIC."
