"I bought a "Broadway Floor Standing Fireplace, Beige" from Houzz as a gift for my parents. Their apartment building wouldn't allow it, which never occurred to me since it's safe/ventless/odorless, etc. So I had to return it, on my own "dime" ($53.13 for FedEx ground). Oh, and I also bought fuel for it (elsewhere) which would cost more to return than I paid for it ($60.98) because of hazardous shipping rates ($66.50). So through no fault of my own, I have now had to waste my time with communicating about this, gas & time going to FedEx, and I'm still out $114.11. Plus getting my money back took 7 days from the time the package was delivered to them! I'll be making no more Houzz orders. I'll stick to Amazon from now on: almost always free returns via UPS with no packaging and it's only a mile away, and refunds are usually same day or next day. Houzz, you need to step up your game!"

"I ordered a mirror that had a delivery issue (a Fed Ex issue, but I wanted to let Houzz know). Also, a very small piece of the mirror was missing and I asked for a replacement of the piece only. Within 24 hours, I had a very kind and proactive answer and solution! The mirror is gorgeous and well-made and looks great in my back entryway. It is high quality and I foresee getting may years of use from it. The mirror is manufactured by Quoizel. Quoizel was instrumental in making sure that the issue with the small missing piece was remedied. In fact, they went way above and beyond making sure that I was satisfied. Customer service like this a rarity these days and I so appreciated it!"

This was an $800+ purchase - so, really a big deal. Well down Houzz in the customer service department. I'm very happy and the new cabinet arrived intact and is both gorgeous and very functional!"
