"I bought a glass shelf. Of the two wall mounts, one arrived broken. From the fracture it was clear that the mounts are made of pot metal rather than any iron or aluminum alloy. As such they are weak and unsuitable for this purpose.

I reported the problem to Houzz and was given a return shipping label. I returned the item and my purchase price was refunded."

"The risk with buying online furniture is that it could arrive damaged. In this case the furniture was well boxed but the damage was clearly covered up and mailed as damaged underneath the thorough packaging. I was pretty disappointed but it’s too big and heavy to try to get in the box to mail back so I conceded to getting a slight discount to keep it. Won’t buy again!"
