"Sales person assured that the product was available and should be shipped fairly quickly. After 5 days of waiting, I get a call that the manufacturer has stopped manufacturing the product. I fail to understand the fact that the inventory at the time of placing the order has the product in stock while the reality is different. I have been offered a substitute item for a higher cost, which is not sure if it is available in stock to ship or not. Still waiting for a feedback from the sales rep.
My beef is that if the item is not available then please let us know the truth so we can go on with our business. This is causing a unnecessary delay to our project.
Spoke with the rep today again (5/23) and was able to get the replacement product shipped asap. And because of this exercise, he was able to negotiate a better discount for me. So overall, I am very happy, despite the only facts that my project is delayed, for which we had a lag time built into it, and the fact that my cost increased a little, for which we had a built in cushion. Thanks Daniel for all the effort afforded to us.

Thank you for providing feedback on your recent experience with ID Wholesaler.
While we did have a small quantity of these items in-stock, we had to order additional items from the Manufacturer to fulfill the quantity you needed. It wasn’t until we placed that order with the Manufacturer that we were notified the product has been discontinued. Unfortunately, sometime we are at the mercy of the Manufacturers, especially for more obscure items, and it’s disappointing when that negatively effects our customers.
In speaking with your Account Manager, the replacement item has shipped from the Manufacturer and should be delivered tomorrow. We were able to extend to you a larger discount for the replacement item in order to help make up the difference in cost.
