"Order never arrived. They kept saying it was on backorder, even though the website said it was in stock. Finally cancelled order after waiting over a month and getting the run around each time I called."
"In the twenty years I have bought computer equipment, I never bought from a dealer who turned out to be less reputable than Inoax. I ordered a digital camera from them because they offered a significant discount. I paid for two day delivery, but it took four day before the order was processed and eight or nine days before I received it. Meanwhile, I kept getting calls to add to the order, including a $49 battery which "the camera has to have to function after the demo run out." (Not true.) I politely said no to all offers. When the camera finally came (eight days later, though I was charged for two day delivery), it included the battery (which I found sells locally for $29). Even worse, the battery did not fit. I e-mailed five times. No reply. I called four times. "A replacement is in the mail." More than two months later, I am still waiting. Buyer beware. My advice, read the reviews and stick to reputable dealers. Whatever the lowest rating for customer satisfaction is, that is what Inoax should get.

"Order was cancelled due to an attempted "Bait and Switch". The price on their web site was $25 less than what they attempted to charge me ($295 item). Very unsavory characters, in my opinion."
"This is a copy of the letter I sent to Inoax.com following many issues about my order. I still have not had anyone from customer service call me back to fix this problem. I have made all phone calls to determine status of my order. The only phone calls that they made to me was for false claims that there was a problem with my order only to talk to me for a sales pitch.
Order Dept for Inoax.com
I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction with your quality of service and control. I made my first online order ever and you have given me a bad experience that I will be reporting. On Sunday Nov 7, 2004 I ordered 2 items for my digital camera. This was done with the plan that I would get the items before the weekend because I paid for next day air. (This was to support a family trip before my deployment overseas.) To begin I started to get e-mail and phone calls Monday stating that there was a problem processing my order. I could only assume that there was an error in equipment compatibility or my payment information. I e-mail requesting more details because my pre-deployment work schedule conflicted with the hours of operation you had on Monday and Tuesday. Once again, I got more phone calls and e-mail on Tuesday stating the same thing "there is a problem with my order". Finally on Wednesday I got out of work in order to contact William @ ext 276. He told me that there was no problem but rather an opportunity for me to upgrade my purchase from a short life battery to a longer one. Since I had already sustained the initial delay I opted for the 4hr battery (though I would have been happier with the shorter battery delivered on time). William then proceeded to assure me that the items would be delivered to me before the weekend to support my trip. With that in mind I requested a tracking number for shipment, he told me that a number would be e-mailed to me Wednesday night. Well come Thursday, my items where not delivered nor did I receive the e-mail with tracking number. Friday, the same thing. I called Friday, William transferred me to ext 218, this young lady told me that I would get a tracking number by 3:00pm that day. It is now Saturday I am on my trip without the items that I ordered a week ago and I still do not know what my tracking number is for my purchase.
All of this I to tell you that I am highly disappointed with your service and that I will ensure the various sites that provide links to your sales gets copies of this letter along with my customer satisfaction survey. I will only consider changing this complaint if I am contacted by a manager to fix this disaster. Otherwise, you can expect this complaint to be filed appropriately.
I have included the e-mail contacts that you sent stating the status of my order. Please review, as stated there is a problem with my order, I do not consider a sales upgrade a problem.

"I purchased a laptop as brand new but when I received it, the laptop was "refurbished." Inoax said they made an error and to return it which I did after a few days trying to get a RMA #. I have now waited over 2 weeks for a credit to my card but have not received it. My card company has now put the amount in as "conditional dispute" and are checking on it for me. I am very unhappy with Inoax's handling of this situation. I will never purchase from them again."
"Worthless. Low price bait. Telemarketer on Sunday to "verify order". No web update, hide behind their phones."
"This seller LIES. Bait and switch. I ordered a product they list for 5500 with free shipping and they raised the price over a grand and tried to charge shipping. Do not trust this dealer."
"Last contact with Inoax was Setpember 14th. I received a recording stating that they would be closed for the next 4 days. Since then I have not been able to contact them at all. I never received the vacuum I ordered, yet they charged my credit card. After reading even more reviews at various sites it's obvious that this company is corrupt and most likely will not resurface again. I sincerely hope they are prosecuted for their crimes. I have since disputed the charge and I expect a credit within the next few weeks. I will never order online without checking a company's ratings and customer reviews again. Lesson learned."
"This is a horrible company. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!
After 5 months of the initial order, I am still trying to get my money back. They have the poorest customer service and communication ever! Here's the short version of the story:
Ordered a mic and camcorder in March.
Only the camcorder shipped and received after two weeks after five phone calls, false records of it in stock, fake DHL tracking number initially issued.
Six phone calls/messages and numerous emails about the missing mic with no response. Spoke to at least four very rude customer service people. End of April requested the mic order cancelled because I needed one and I ordered from a different company. No response from them, no credit back to my visa.
So I asked my visa card to cancel the payment on the mic portion of the order. Guess what? A mic shows up at my door step two weeks later with them telling Visa they fulfilled the order. This is after more than two months after the initial order. I immediately call them again. Left three messages, long holds, nobody to help me. Then they finally said to return the item for a credit. I mail it back with their RMA#. No credit to my account after USPS tracking shows they have received it. I call, they said they did credit it. I wait a few more days. No credit. A month later and Six more phone calls and messages, still no credit for the $150.
As far as I can tell, they are dishonest (lied about stock, orders, shipping, and refunds), disorganized (5 order numbers were associated with this order), and slow. They NEVER return phone calls. Their website shows no direct mailing address other than a PO Box.
Once again, be careful! Just because they are a few bucks cheaper does not mean you will get what you want."
"These people are liars! Beware! I placed an order for a very cool laptop case on 7/22/04. It sold for $99.99. I receive a call the very next day from Pete who informed me that the product was out of stock and tried to sell me a "more expensive" case for the same price. The case he tried to sell me retails for $39.99. Being an educated consumer I simply said no and to cancel my order. He then put me on hold and came back to tell me that his manager said they will get the product for me and ship it out Monday. I said "Are you sure?" and he said "Yes, definitely". When I called on Monday, I spoke to another sales person and that person was totally unenthused with her job and after a short hold informed me that the product was not in stock and won't be in for another week. I told her I was lied to, she didn't seem to care and so I hung up to write this letter to all you out there warning of the shady dealings of this reseller. BEWARE!"
"I'm not surprised to hear the comments. I would rate my service as fair. Bottom line I received the product I ordered for the price I ordered it within a reasonable amount of time. However, it was a bit of a hassle. I put in a web order and two days later I get an email saying my order was on hold and to call "Pete". So I call Pete and the superficial reason for the call was to verify my order. I suspect the real reason was to get the opportunity sell me the accessories. I expected this and politely declined. Pete was not overly forceful. To their credit Inoax still shipped the product even though I didn't buy any accessories. Then I called later to try to get a tracking number. Three phone calls later (and a bad UPS traking number) we were told to call DLX shipping. We did and we found to our surpise the product was coming that afternoon! I think the shipping fiasco was more incompetience than malice (their "system" was down several times). The sony HC40 came sealed with a manual and matching serial number and works great (no funny business). I think there are better options. If you do still decide to order, save yourself some time and just call directly and ask for a tracking number up front. "
"Ordered online. Last 3 verification number of credit card wasn't requested. A Representative left a message on my cell the next day, asking me to call in for confirmation.
The wait for calling in was around 3-10 minutes (because I was not willing to wait so I hung up). I was put on hold multiple times with no indication that any representative would answer my call soon. I called back in a few times, found that if I go through another department (not customer service) and ask directly for the name of the person who asked me to call in, I could get served quicker.
Anyway, the Rep tried really really hard to sell me stuffs. I knew that from reading these reviews, so I just politely said no. He tried to sell me least 4-5 different products. I also kept a smiling tone of voice, thanking the Rep for his enthusiasm (there is no harm from doing this. It only takes about 3-5 minutes of your time).
Order, Nikon Coolpix 5700, was ordered on Thursday. Called in on Friday. Order arrived on Monday. Very quick. New condition.
Bottom Line:
- Delivery: FAST (1-2 business days). Possibly, might have to do with my being polite to the Rep.
- Customer service: Fair, or not good. I'd prefer not to receive the extra advertisements of other products. This is the Company's poor service. I don't blame the Representative. The wait on the phone was frustrating.
- Shop again: Yes. Cheap price with reasonable service > More expensive price with great service > Cheapest price ($100 lower = scam) with horrible service"
"Bought a Sony Video Camera HC65. Good price. Fast delivery. Delivered as promised. Sales person did not rush me for any additional accessories."
"I read some reviews on cnet.com and decided that Sony's DCR-TRV950 was the camcorder for me.
I looked at where to buy one and inoax.com was the cheapest of the stores who said they had the DCR-TRV950 in stock so I placed the order. I filled in my credit card number and asked to have the product shipped to the same address as my credit card billing address.
Next day "Micky" called to sell me an additionaly battery (he lied about how long the battery that came with the camera would last), he wanted to sell me a UV-filter, he wanted to sell me an additional warranty - regular price $399 - mine for $299. When I declined, "Micky" dropped the price to $199. When I declined that he dropped the price to $149 and finally $140. I went to there web site to read about this warranty but it all seamed very vague to me so I called "Micky" back to decline the "discounted" "warranty".
A couple of days later I recieved an email from inoax.com saying that they needed a photocopy of both sides of my credit card and my drivers license for any order over $2000.00. That was odd since my order was under $2000.00.
I called "Micky" and was told that no they needed a photocopy for orders over $1000.00 - the email was wrong.
I went down to Kinkos and photocopied my credit card and drivers license and faxed it to the number provided.
Next day I recieved an email saying that they still needed the fax.
I went back to Kinkos (I had sherdded the original photocopies) and made new copies and faxed them again.
Next day I called to see if my order was being processed. After sitting on hold for over an hour "Micky" said they still needed my fax. I asked to speak to a manager and "Moses" told me that the DCR-TRV950 had been end of lifed. This I knew to be untrue. The DCR-TRV950 was a new model. Then "Moses" said that they were out of stock. He said that was why they were stalling me - but their website still says they were in stock.
That's when I noticed that the price on their website had jumpped $210 since I placed my order and things started to make sense. Now I understand why "Micky" and "Moses" were both so willing to let me cancel the order.
I had a friend call their number to place an order over the telephone. She asked if there was a DCR-TRV950 in stock and how soon could it be shipped. They checked and told her that there were four (4) in stock and that one could be shipped that day. I picked up the telephone and gave my order number and asked if one could be shipped to me and was told no - since I had not faxed the fax which I had sent twice. (My friend was never asked for a fax).
I called customer support and "Elana" told me my fax had in fact arrived but they were out of stock and she was more than willing to cancel my order for me since she didn't know when they would be able to get one in stock.
They still have not shipped my camcorder and their website still says that they have DCR-TRV950s in stock.
My conclusion is that some online retailer (InoaX being one of them) claim to have product in stock when what the mean is that they think their Asian distributer may have one. The price they post is best case estimate given that the distributer's price may vary and the fluctuatations in the value of the dollar. When you place an order they get the real price and if the deal doesn't work in their favor they augment their profit by
(a) selling you additional crap at grossly inflated prices,
(b) selling you a worthless warrenty - given how much InoaX lie, only a raving lunatic would purchase their very vague "warranty",
(c) overcharging on shipping and "insurance" - this appears to be a favorite of Abe's of Maine,
(d) saying the product is only available as part of the "premium" package, the "professional", the "platimum plus" package or some other package which often includes nothing more than a firewire or USB cable and a vinyl baggie - how 5starelectronics work
or (e) have you cancel the order and order it later at a higher price.
You can pay for express shipping, but that is express shipping from Asia to Brooklyn and then from Brooklyn to you.
I never did get the camcorder I ordered from InoaX."
